If anyone has been following the streaming site, Six Sides of Gaming, @Rumelylady and myself work for, then you may have witnessed the finale to our flagship stream "Strands of Destiny" yesterday. We went for over 6 hours to finish the story arc and a good time was had by all. We are now going to be jumping into "Decent Into Avernus" starting with a session Zero next Sunday at 12pm EST. We will both be players in as well as some regulars that have been playing in a lot of the streams we've run over the past year. I'm really looking forward to this!

Has anyone else been following Mothership and the upcoming 1E version? I found the Kickstarter having not known anything about it beforehand, but after looking into it I fell in love with the whole idea of a sci-fi horror RPG and promptly backed it. ...And then several other third party story collections, modules and pamphlets that were also doing Kickstarters for their own 1E compatible versions. Yep, I'm in deep. Mothership's system is primarily based on D10/D100 rolls, but what's interesting about it is there's stress and panic mechanics baked in. Fail a check or save, you get stress. Stress can actually improve saves, but get too much stress and you can move into full blown panic which either be good or bad depending on the result of the panic check (eg. more focused on the task at hand, or gain detrimental conditions. Yep you guessed it, there's a LOT more negative than positive results for a panic check...). The rules of Mothership as a whole however, are quite light, with the onus on the DM (or Warden, in Mothership parlance) to craft a dramatic and interesting story. While the actual print layout etc hasn't been finalised yet, the core mechanics of 1E are pretty much established, and as such, I'm gonna test out running a solo game with my mate over the next week or so with a one-shot I've had a go of writing myself. It'll probably go terrible, but it'll be a learning experience nontheless!

I've watched Macgruber, it's not a fantastic film. I think if you don't expect much from it going in it's somewhat funny. Such a silly movie, would never watch it a 2nd time. It has no replay value to me. 😂

Yea, I love those Destiny Grimoire books. Volume 4 is almost entirely about Mara and Ulldren. After, as Sarah said, blowing through Leviathan Wakes, I jumped to the first book in Mr. Kristoffs new series "Empire of The Vampire" whicih was really friggin good. Nothing like the crappy twilight series. Now, I've started book 2 of the expanse, Calibans War and I still have one of Yahtzee Croshaws books on the go called "Will Save The Galaxy For Cash." Not too mention the 3 DnD books I've read over the span of the last 3-4 months.

I finally finished this game last night, and got the "good" ending. It really takes a lot of pattern recognition for the bosses to make them beatable. Knowing when to time your dodge or parry is the ultimate key to success at this one. The last boss can be a bit of a bitch. I found i was just spamming the block button to great success for the first part of the fight, but relying more on avoiding in the second part. Frustrations aside, It was still a decent game. Not for everyone for sure, but as i said before, once you're in that combat flow... It's so gratifying.

There was people running through the entire game in less then an hour without taking a hit a day after it launched. Hell, probably same day. It was crazy. This game is all about learning the move patterns of each enemy and how to time your dodge/party effectively. I’ve been rocking this a lot and I’ve got it down to being at the youngest age on the 4th stage.

would love to help people with their seals maybe whenever I or someone puts up a raid maybe the people joining can highlight what triumphs they need and we can decide from there?
