I guess this could be in health and fitness also. I have always wanted to try out martial arts, and I have finally just gone for it, joined the local school and started Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Been building my strength back in the gym for the last few months in preparation. Had a few sessions so far and I am enjoying it a lot, its basically fighting chess. The sessions consist of learning various take downs and submissions, with sparring at the end. The sparring is a killer but its fun to test your strength and brains at the same time. Obviously I am not that great yet but hoping to get a notch on the belt before the year is out. I am wondering if anyone else in FG has done Jiu Jitzu or any other martial art? The only thing I have done thats anywhere close was boxing for a year and a half.

A few of us are going to reinstall BF4 on the PS, could be good to refamiliarise with it before 2042 drops, plus it's an excellent game unlocked at 60 frames on the PS5. If you fancy it, reinstall or obtain it from EA Play and we'll have a blast🙂

yooo Brazilian jiu-jitsu is fucking great man, getting out of submissions and getting that satisfaction then getting back into a kak position, like going from a triangle straight to getting an armbar🥲 its amazing man hope you enjoy it!!

Thanks for the advice Gary @techno , I really don't mind what we use tbh, as its for learning and fun. @Jason , what would you say is a good time to start looking at it? When does the season/draft start each year?

There's a really good chance we get to a point we won't have a AAA football game out like e've seen for a few years yet if FIFA are onlyt starting to look into broadening their horizons in the gaming industry. Interesting. Not sure how to feel about that.

Yeah. Don’t know about starting a fantasy league 7 weeks in, but would be sweet to start one up next season. We just use ESPN for our league.

If you Google it there are official ones that might give you some ideas. You may be able to do something regarding picking winners weekly or lowest score, highest score, highest and lowest aggregate score that wouldn't matter about the season starting and would give some interest without going in too deep to rosters etc. I normally Google NFL scores which gives weekly match ups.

Role-playing is a big part of the games for me and part of that is creating a good character to fit the role of the story. Here are some example of my characters and their strengths and styles. Would love to hear if anyone else plays this way. Christian Hunt Age: Young Adult Nationally: English / Swedish Style: Traditional / Ordinary / Messy Isaac Lacelles Age: Young Adult Nationally: English / Nigerian / French Style: Extravagant / Street / Indie Manuel Knight Age: Mature Adult Nationality: US / Nigerian Style: Professional / Clean / Neat I also plan to write some back stories on these characters however I just haven't had the time yet.

Well I create these characters for every game I play if you have to make your character. For example Fifa, GTA, Destiny. Well count me in if you get a game night going!

Great topic James @Lurrchh . What games have you used these on so far or is it more just for the D&D type of game? We thought about D&D a while back to try and play one day as we'd need a few large sessions to complete it all the way through but it didn't go too far. The winter might give us more time though this time round. I know that Elliott@Middle Class Caveman and Sarah @Rumelylady know a thing or two about this stuff and i think its a lot about giving some prep time to something like this. We could also stream it to which would be a fantastic demo for us all and others in FG that may be interested but not sure whats involved (like me!).

That's really cool man. I roleplay Dungeons & Dragons and other paper and dice RPGs but it's not something I thought about in computer games, other than DayZ RPG where you have to create a character and back story just to get white-listed. It's a great idea though to get more immersed. I love games that allow you to create your own character but I suppose i always play a version of myself in most 😁
