There's been some good documentaries on 9/11, turning point on Netflix was good but this one has been by far the best. No politics etc just normal people telling exceptional personal stories around some intimate footage of the day. Some distressing scenes for some, the wife actually was in tears. One other thing I realised on that day everyone helped as much as they could no matter race, sex, ethnicity etc.

As a NYCer, I can't bring myself to watch anything about 9/11. I'm sure the documentaries and movies about it are worthwhile, and good for the sake of history keeping. But, everything about that day and the days and weeks after are something I don't want to watch or relive. I work now just 2 blocks from the WTC memorial, a place I never thought I would work. Last week in the city, as I got off the subway and walked to the office, it was somber with all the ribbons and whatever. I'm glad others are able to tell their stories about it to help heal... To watch these films to heal and know more about it. I just don't think I'll ever get there. Especially as other terrible things in the world continue to happen.

I hope those who were able to log into the new server are enjoying it! Kinda cool that we have 2 servers now. Anyway, I wanted to post about my wanderings and "beacons of hope" to weary explorers of Valheim. Originally, you may have stumbled upon various campfires I left around. I do enjoy just dropping a campfire in the dark, not so friendly areas. Next, in our original server, you may have discovered my Wolf Sanctuary! Now, in our new server, I have decided to somewhat "upgrade" my "beacons of hope" with little houses that I have repaired along the way. If you happen upon these places and see that I may have claimed a bed, do not worry! Feel free to dismantle and recreate the bed, so you can use it! Sometimes, while I'm repairing, I also need to "sleep", so I use the bed. Each place should also have a chest with some stuff to help you along. Also, in the new server, @TurboR56Mini was kind enough to create a "welcome" center. In that area, you will also find a tree farm that I sort of manage to keep a steady supply of wood and fine wood. Chop what you need. The trees in the farm have no grass under them. I think one of the new tools is a "cartography" table, which allows us to share maps. Even though we have not unlocked it, I look forward to it! I think that's all. Happy Valheim-ing!

Diddums has it right, your CPU is still good. Just make sure DOCP (AMD’s XMP) is enabled for your ram as ram speed helps a lot with ryzen chips. Add a better GPU and you should be good for a while. in the future, depending on your mobo, you can add a later gen ryzen cpu but I wouldn’t do that now as it’s unnecessary.

I'm more bothered about you not telling us this and being an absolute hermit online you spoon. However, back to thread. I won't be the best person to advise you on this stuff atm, but others can add their 2p to it i'm sure. @phil bottle @Greboth @RenFengge @TurboR56Mini @Tar-Eruntalion @tronic44

I need to get into this again, it’s real life stuff stopping me at the moment. Is Hearth and Home an expansion pack that I need? Also, what’s the significance of no grass under the trees?

Sup everyone I got a PC built by Overclockers in 2018 - as the title suggests, am considering an upgrade in the future. Currently: Ryzen 5 2600 GeForce 1060 3 GB 16 GB Ram As you can see, bit on the slow side these days, although it still runs most things fine. I've also had issues with it crashing before and had to reinstall windows a few times (Diddums told me to take the RAM out and blow on it, fucked it entirely until i reinstalled windows and it *seems* to have been okay ever since). It will be used mostly for games, mostly single player.I'm also starting to edit slo-mo Go Pro footage and its a little on the slow side loading up big video files/working with them. I've also got a PS5 and because of the hacker issues with FPS i am happy enough playing on PS5 (K&M cross play disabled). Is it worth just ugrading the whole machine or getting new components ? I'm thinking that as the component shortage eases over the next 12 months that prices will also hopefully fall. Suggestions ? Ta

Yeah I dropped it too, you can infuse into it but it stops at 1100. Lee @GazzaGarratt says it's because it's needed for a triumph? I stuck mine in the vault.

I haven’t done the raid but I’d be up for whatever if I’m on. I seen that you can melt the last boss in one faze now if your dps is good. I can try to post if you haven’t seen it.

Yeah I watched that, really moving, still seems like yesterday not 20 years, and as you say the response of so many Americans helping their fellow citizens was amazing. I’ve always been awe struck by the bravery of the firemen climbing those towers. Lights shining on that darkest day. Also watched the documentary that followed Bush on that day. Don’t want to get into politics but he almost seemed statesman like when you compare to what goes on now.

Another old footballer leaves this mortal coil. Jimmy, probably the best striker this country has ever produced, would literally walk the ball into the back of the net. Another genius who had too close a relationship with alcohol meaning a shorter career than it should have been. RIP sir 👏

Yeah, @phil bottle, Gary @techno and myself dipped on to it yesterday for a few hours and it was a nice surprise to see the hub there (loved the semi-open bar space on a slant!). We didn't do much so apologies if we tripped up on anything we shouldn't have. We went exploring North to the sea where we started to put a makeshift basecamp there. came across many fires and shacks near the coast so guessed it was you La! 🤣 Really helps if you want to get some quick safety. If there is something we can do in the config file to make the days last longer that would be great. Before we knew it, the day would just slip by and it feels like night forever! Just also helps when building with the light, etc but no worries if not. I caught glimpse of a Cartographer table so thats very cool. Hopeing to come across more different building materials although I have no idea if i've unlocked them or not right now 😅 Did see a Crystal Wall though too which was strange!

Nope, it's the base game. We got another server to try the new content without destroying all that we built on the first one. The no grass thing just indicates that @RenFenggeplanted that tree rather than it being part of the map.

On a 9/11 theme, Worth is not a bad film, maybe a little slow but stars Micheal Keaton and is based on the true story of the victims compensation fund after well 9/11

So, after 18 months of no wipes, looks like the next patch means back to square one. I'll lose all my money plus my only recently acquired dragonfly 😬 But that was going to happen at some point and the reasons for it are pretty good.

I echo want the guys are saying but if anyone wants to ask a question or need any tips regarding weapons or armour or just generally what to do as a new light feel free to ask and I’ll help in any way I can 🙂
