Depends on the game, don't need more than 30fps for Civilisation type games for example. What it offers is choice. If they get it right and properly support it, it'll sell by the bucket load.

I've had a few practice laps, not looking too promising so far! Lots of tight corners in a heavy car unfortunately!

Figured I'd start this thread and just update it with pictures of some of my 3D printed projects as I work on them rather than start a new thread for every thing I print and do. Just started this project a bit over a week ago. I decided I wanted to do a medieval diorama for my theater room since the rest of the room's decor is all medieval themed. So decided to start printing a scene which will be a castle tower sitting on the edge of a rocky shoreline of the ocean with a dragon on top of the tower, then a giant kraken coming out of the water attacking the tower. Took about 130hrs to print just the tower pieces. Then did a lot of paint work and weathering to make it look aged, made some vines out of stained twine and ground up some reindeer moss to make the moss and growth on the towers crack. Added some wood railing and made a wood door. Have the dragon pieces running on both printers right now so hope to have that done and painted by the weekend so I can move onto finishing the base and making some realistic water using some clear silicone and paint mixed which other items which should be interesting.

This was great back in the day and I hope it stands the test of time for stupidity

Konami:- - Destroyed all their powerhouse franchises like Metal Gear Solid and Silent Hill and have now changed their last remaining established franchise into a free to play football game whilst removing the iconic brand and delivering a potentially mortifying montetisation system consisting of even a battle pass. Ubisoft:- - Began the last generation with two intriguing brands of The Division and Watch Dogs. Also continued Assassin's Creed, Far Cry and rejuvenated Rainbow Six, Ghost Recon plus branched into racing with The Crew. Now they've ruined Ghost Recon, saturated Rainbow Six, turned Assassin's Creed into a live service platform for the foreseeable, failed shamefully in the battle royale department and now they are relying on another Far Cry game and an outdated F2P deathmatch shooter as their next big titles. With all the money, studios, experience and and technology at their disposal, it's a an absolute disaster the state they are in currently. Their next two shooters will likely be DOA and it is scary to think what they will do with their new AC platform. Activision Blizzard:- - With Diablo 3 and Starcraft reaching their peak, they had considerable success with Overwatch along with Heartstone. However, there has been some monumental gaping holes in content and new games which has seen them lose tens of millions of players. Even the new expansions for WoW hasn't kept people engaged and Overwatch 2 which is still a way off doesn't look like it'll have the same impact. They've literally been relying on Warzone income and what COD can bring but the lack of foresight and new material has cost them dearly and now they have a major lawsuit on their doorstep which could turn into a PR studio and devastate their internal studios along with budgets. It's hard to believe the state these companies find themselves in especially with their level of income and experience in the last decade. They've really got complacent and will now pay for it. I think companies like Microsoft with the game pass and working closely with studios will be a breath of fresh air in the industry and if Sony can continue their excellent exclusive range then its games like these which will get all the success and recognition. I've never seen AAA gaming or the companies behind them in such a sorry state but it's highly deserved. I'm not even going to mention EA as there's not enough hours in the day but if mainstream AAA gaming died tomorrow, it would be no big loss to the gaming world apart from easy money to shareholders and executives.

LOLZ! If this is true then it's a sign that this years COD is going to be a massive pile of dogshit. Activision did the same thing when they bundled MWR with Infinite Borefare as they knew that game would be awful (although the campaign was actually decent). I'm so glad BF2042 is out this year.

Amen. This is a systemic issue that won't be corrected unless you pull these weeds out of the dirt. It feels bad because I love Blizzard, I can say most of my gaming history has been spent on a Blizzard title. I haven't had their app installed on my PC in a few years now.

I'm putting my 50p on this nice and early. It never takes this long for CoD release news to come. We'd usually get leaks too and there isn't really anything of merit to really bet on. Don't be surprised if you see them put a ton more elements into Warzone with a new roadmap in the coming months and I really do think they could create their own playground gamemode like how BF2042 Portal has been created. Problem for Activision is they have bigger fish to fry with the horrible news they seem to have lost control at with Blizzard.

Seems like it. it may work well for this game as some remakes are very much wanted from the playerbase, but it would be nice if they don't do remakes all the time. i think its more the fact they can reuse resources clearly as it saves the 7 years of creating a brand new game from scratch. never played this originally but know from many of you here it was an awesome game so if it gets the PS5 treatment i might have dip on it after it comes out and we've seen the initial reviews from some of you guys and girls.

I watched live during the testimonies by the police yesterday regarding the events of 6th in Washington. I got quite emotional listening to their stories. Brave brave people is all I can say. Myself and a lot of my anarcho friends are no fans of the institution but we see the human beings underneath and you have to give respect where it's due. I hope the people they were protecting do the same.

Load of boring waffle bollocks, heard a million times before from other companies. He doesn't give a shit about his employees, his company has demonstrated that time and time again. He's just trying to save his own ass and his ludicrous annual bonus. He doesn't even give a shit that nobody believes a word he says, his reputation is so fucked and he's one of the most hated people in the videogame industry and he knows it, he just doesn't care. It sounds ridiculous, I played old FIFA as a lad it was a different game back then before money was spend. I had FIFA 94, 95 was the first one to have indoor football. I stopped playing in the early 2000's. But a free to play FIFA tickles me. The last game I ever expected for that format. Your are right they will milk ze cow dry. I wonder if they will drip feed the best players slowly over time and hold back content.

Finally done with this one. Pretty much everything is 3d printed except the base I carved/sculpted out of foam then airbrushed and flocked it with sand and flocking. And the trunk of the tree is one of my bonsai trees that died over the winter so I just spread aquarium filter floss across the branches then flocked it the way model railroad guys do on their builds. Rest is all printed and airbrushed. Water I airbrushed the base then coated it in clear silicone, then added waves by pulling upwards on the silicone as it dried and painted the white tips. Also added flicking light inside the tower as well as a flickering micro LED chip on the end of the wizards torch. Probably over 200+ hrs into it from start to finish. Fit's right into the theater room theme really nicely. Was quite an enjoyable build, already kicking around ideas for what will be built on the 2nd of the side tables.

Triple A games are becoming more and more predictable with each “new” release. It’s either the “Yearly update” (cod), remake of something old, Game as service, dark souls clone, or an open world sandbox/stealth/crafting etc etc. Not all are bad, but a lot of the gems are coming out of indie developers more and more mostly because they’re willing to take a chance at something different. Most of the AAA publishers won’t take a chance unless a name is associated with the product.

The only thing saving Rainbow 6 is their flourishing esports program, otherwise I am really sad in the direction they are going.

That's when we'll next be getting an actual finished game.

Lamela had some hard core issues in his first few years at Spurs. His hip in particular kept him out a long time. He ran his heart out for Spurs and I'll always have time for him.

Lamela was quite a long servant but never really did anything significant or improved dramatically. He did have a slow start and got better but never really reached the standards required. The new guy seems to have some serious potential and is only 20. Aside from Eriksen, the Bale money was pretty much wasted🤣

It's hard for me to engage in these discussions as this goes on in all industries and always has. Don't know why people are surprised, I really don't. It's always going to be like that when you have people with economic power over other people. Human beings can't handle power and so we see exploitation and abuse as a result. I'm sure we don't know half of what goes on.

It's just a remake? This must be the new buisness model for EA. Make money on old properties. The original trilogy was good overall, but if they're gonna bring this series back, make a new game. I can't really say i'm excited for it either. It'll be a "wait and see" approach for moi. Shame the original developers aren't around anymore to make it. I'd be more hyped if they were.

EA have confirmed at the EA Play that they are doing a remake of the first Dead Space game, amd personally i can't wait! I loved this game and think it could look awesome on the PS5

Meanwhile PES, now rebranded as Efootball is going free to play, which is hilarious. Will we have to purchase players I wonder? 😁 Also on a new engine, a dedicated unreal engine I believe. No word on game modes.
