    COD WW2 2?

It ain't looking good for this game. Nearly August and we haven't seen or heard a single official bit of news about the game. I really hope this is the year that COD fails massively and Activi$ion are forced to rethink their release cycle for the game.

    FIFA 22

The 'gameplay reveal' stream yesterday had a tiny amount of gameplay and about 90 minutes of PR talk but here it is complied Animations look much better but aside from that it's not significantly different to the 21 PS5 upgrade.

  3. 1 million percent this dude, totally agreeing with all of that! At the end of the day all of the additional stuff we do is for fun and cant ever feel like work. Yes, how I tackle quite few bits in FG is similar ways to my work mentality but if I can see a few people that are happy with it in the end then its worth it. FG has always been skewed in terms of effort in to how much benefit you get out of it...I think that's why we're unique cos some of us love just making one person happy for all the fancy fluff πŸ˜„ I think when we're in the moment of loving games and in that sweet spot many love that we get the extra stuff...but equally I know they'd rather not do it too! 🀣 I think we'll see what easy things I can come up with then and how easy/quick it is to create and share things which always add to our gaming sessions. I'd be lying if I wasn't proud that if I had a great night I could go back and see my name and stats in the team all shiny and shit - its kinda those moments that make us remember those games and laughs. One thing you've said to me before is some of our mini moments are great and we should share on things like TikTok...so definitely gonna give that a whirl for us! Cheers for responding so quickly Jordie ❀

  4. I don't really see the point in stopping. If anyone needs a break or are away there's no obligation to come on, but I don't think we should be stopping Mondays for everybody! The fact we had a full team out of the blue on Monday shows there's still a lot of interest for people to play!

If it wasn't for YouTubers mentioning it I wouldn't remember it exists, or maybe exists 🀷

    COD WW2 2?

Yeah I forgot about it, I only think of Warzone now when I think of COD.

  7. Figured I'd start this thread and just update it with pictures of some of my 3D printed projects as I work on them rather than start a new thread for every thing I print and do. Just started this project a bit over a week ago. I decided I wanted to do a medieval diorama for my theater room since the rest of the room's decor is all medieval themed. So decided to start printing a scene which will be a castle tower sitting on the edge of a rocky shoreline of the ocean with a dragon on top of the tower, then a giant kraken coming out of the water attacking the tower. Took about 130hrs to print just the tower pieces. Then did a lot of paint work and weathering to make it look aged, made some vines out of stained twine and ground up some reindeer moss to make the moss and growth on the towers crack. Added some wood railing and made a wood door. Have the dragon pieces running on both printers right now so hope to have that done and painted by the weekend so I can move onto finishing the base and making some realistic water using some clear silicone and paint mixed which other items which should be interesting.

  8. Okay. Well, breaking the annual mould of releases is what we all wanted i'm sure, but I didn't expect it to go this far. I'm not sure how to feel at the moment considering PES has given me so many great moments when I was a kid. Free 2 Play, and its starting to gradually roll out content over the course of the year. Frustratingly, they need to review the game modes as they really could take the mantle off FIFA if they put a version Pro Clubs in there. I also feel like it removes any pressure off of FIFA making their product the best it can be. The game might feel completely different when we try it out but I can't deny that trailer looked a little shite if i'm honest. Roadmap is below: I suppose we can all at least try it out when it becomes available so we can fully say if it is the right path to go down or not.

    New World

Anyone bought this yet or planning to do so? Seems Amazon's MMO has made some improvements since it's big reveal ages ago and now it's in closed beta. Sadly it seems to be bricking Β£1200 GPU's which is not a good pre-release advertisement.. Amazon's New World MMO is reportedly killing $1,500 Nvidia GPUs | PC Gamer WWW.PCGAMER.COM Bricking RTX 3090s in a graphics card drought is not a good look.

  11. Well aware I'm putting my grumpy hat on with this...πŸ˜… Speaking solely from my perspective here, I don't know if the match reports/team sheets etc are worth the energy putting into them, unless it's something that someone particularly enjoys taking a handle of? I love getting games in with everybody regardless of how we play, it's a good little escape away from everything. When it turns to collecting stats and design work, it starts to sound more like work than fun, and that itself would be the cause of the burn out! I'd be interested to know peoples genuine opinion on if they want to have the stats available to look at when they can't make it, or if team-sheets actually inspire people to get online and play, because otherwise it's adding stress to something quite simple for the sake of a picture people will glance at for a couple of secs and move on.

  12. I know when its written in black and white in can always sound stronger than it is so don't get me wrong, happy to crack on and continue! But to keep it fresh we should definitely ramp up some ideas to start in the future. We can do at the same time surely. I want to get into a place where a quick match report and pre-buzz can go out to everyone as sometimes when you can't play its still great to get insight to what went on and what lolz we had. Using social media to push it out, etc. But clearly its another ask for help from my side. We all love it when its all happening but one person can't do it on their own for a sustained period of time. I'd also say we need to really remember not to get too sweaty on the game too. Always a fine balance but we need to encourage everyone playing regardless of skill as that's why we're getting enjoyment out of it to see everyone progress.

    COD WW2 2?

Maybe this is a good thing. We've been saying for ages we need to get away from yearly purchases for very little gain between games.

  14. I'm happy to carry on too, but as this is the only night i'm on regularly those who are on multiple nights might want a break, but i agree with @jordie1892 that if peeps want a break then we can carry on with those who want to and still have a laugh. The timesheet idea sounds pretty cool, be good to have a decent way of keeping an eye on those stats

  15. It feels like such a shame, as lee and james said above it was the best game back in the days of offline play. The local play and master league was just awesome and fifa got nowhere near it for me. But I kind of understand why they've done it from a business point of view, because under the old model of annual releases they just cant compete with fifa unfortunately because of the licenses and wider appeal. Even I moved to fifa this year and have really enjoyed playing pro clubs with so many of the FG lot (i was persuaded by lee and I was hesitant to buy it initially). However like phil says above, pes is/was still the better game of football (fifa is too fast, too end to end, too much BS skill moves and pace) but unfortunately gameplay alone was no longer enough. Will be good to play some online games of e football with everyone though if we hopefully give it a go as its free

  16. They have a battle pass in a football gameπŸ˜‚ As I said in the FIFA thread, this is an absolute disaster - they've killed off an iconic and highly established brand and replaced it with this e-shite. The colours are nauseating and the prospect of what's on offer makes me sick too. PES was the only brand that Konami had left that they hadn't wrecked but now it looks like they've completed the set. PES was brilliant in the 90's and then 3,4,5, and 6 were the best football games in existence. After a miserable transition into the 360/PS3 gen, they began to slowly turn it around and in the last 4 years they've salvaged the brand and took it as far as they could with the Fox Engine that was still way ahead of FIFA. They've given all that work and recognition up for fucking microtransactions. Thankfully the fantastic PES 6 modders will be out in force and working overtime to deliver a better game as they always do and it's great to see younger people turning to that too who never got to play it vanilla back in the day. RIP PES FUCKonami

  17. PES has been the superior game for a while now in terms or gameplay and actually feeling like it's trying to simulate playing the sport so I'm more hoping the new engine doesn't ruin that side of things. If the game play goes backwards I'll be hanging up my boots 😁

    FIFA 22

Kinetic air battles? @Lurch one for you that is and your tall builds. Looking online it seems to have a few extra bits: New explosive sprint feature - high risk and reward when it comes to shooting if mistimed new attacking tactics - for when you enter the attacking half 4 new skill moves this year: the scoop turn fake the four touch skill (important for when you're on the sideline) the skilled bridge the first time spin c. 90% First time skill moves can be used to control the ball More stats Goalkeeper refresh - possibly harder to score goals No new news on game modes I can find so far.

Meanwhile PES, now rebranded as Efootball is going free to play, which is hilarious. Will we have to purchase players I wonder? 😁 Also on a new engine, a dedicated unreal engine I believe. No word on game modes.

    Coronavirus

So let me get this straight, people can go to nightclubs with no restrictions now and for the entire month of August in which wave 3 will hit but for September, club goers will be required by law to have a double-jab vaccine passport to gain entry!? The nightclub sector has been ignored for a year and a half and now all these knee-jerk decisions are being made. They could've easily been given 6 months to trial a gradual and controlled re-opening to at least garner some income but now they've seemingly been given 6 weeks to rake in the cash while cases rise significantly and then more business-threatening restrictions get enforced. Talk of football fans in venues of over 16,000 needing a vaccine passport too. Funny how nothing to this tune was mentioned about Wimbledon or Silverstone with both events having over 300,000 visitors but anyone going to Sunderland v Morecambe will have to jump through hoops to get in.

    FIFA 22

It's an absolute disaster - they've literally murdered an iconic brand spanning console generations for 25 years and replaced it with free to play shit. Looks like master league has gone too. Ghastly colours and the concept is not explained well. It's a bloody disgrace really. May as well call it Tom Clancy's e-Football. If this is the direction AAA publishers are taking their established brands then this generation of gaming is gonna be a dumpster fire of online service shite.
