So, we're pretty established on Septic server but it's got a real lack of other players. We can continue to use it and expand our base but it would be nice to try on a populated server. So, for sever number 2 we need to decide which to go for. Choice 1 would be a standard PVP and PVE server, either modded or vanilla. Choice 2 would be to use the DayZ RP server. Choice 1 is a little more easy to jump on, though more brutal, as it will mostly be kill on sight. Choice 2 would mean no kill on sight, more robbery type stuff, which can always go wrong, but everyone would have to go to the DayZ RP server, write a quick back story for your character, learn the server rules and then pass a test on the rules to get whitelisted. Thoughts below 🙂

Think i've tagged you all in the OP now. Looks like we have a right good bunch of us so should be good fun. I'm thinking we can do something like Monday Night Football (pretty original, yeah? 😎) but maybe to start, i'll put on an event on another day this week and lets see how many we can get there. Position wise, i'm happy to be a Defender because not many people want to do that role I imagine. Formation wise, i'll let you guys lead the way on what works best. It's good to know this is being worked on by the community for the standalone. Currently, the most comprehensive version of DayZ is actually via Arma 3. The DayZ mod there has all the guns from Arma, all the vehicles, including planes, choppers and bicycles. It has trading zones. But it also has AI and missions around the AI. It's one of the reasons I have more hours on Arma 3 than any other game. So I'm glad we'll get this soon too 🤗

Dayz RP appeals to me the most. I'm down. I'll read the instructions and get rolling hopefully today.

Thats where i am lucky i have a club close by but we run varied distances anything from 5k to a 20 minute out and back again.

Thank Paul @slamminbones , however to keep that pace up for much longer distances would likely kill me! I need to get out for longer runs when possible but I get selfish as I feel it takes up too much of my own spare (or not so spare) time.

Basically 4K to get the most out of the console and the highest framerate possible for the smoothest experience. Most people with low to mid-range 4K tv's are gonna get burned as they wont get the best performance possible. There doesn't seem to be any decent monitor buying guides for the PS5 yet but hopefully we'll get a better idea in the coming months. Be interesting to see new monitors coming into the market with the PS5 in mind.

Not a bad pace there. As i've just started getting back in to running after a 2 month break need to get my pace bad to normal depending on which distance i run but what is helping is the warm up as i call it when i take my wife out for a short run.

Yeah I'd say an ANY is a must. 4321 works really well too. Allows the LF & RF to have more of a free role so can stay narrow to help the striker or go wide to stretch, then the 3 CM's offer the protection infront of the defence. Used this formation last few FIFA's and works good

4-2-3-1 and 4-2-2-2 are what I've had the most success with in the past. I really enjoyed playing a few games at CDM last week, so I'll hapilly hold down the middle. As you said, the AI is terrible at defending, we could always have someone on 'Any'?

Looking forward to getting some games of this in. We need to sort out a formation and who plays where though. Seems most people prefer striker, winger or cam. The formation my friends and I have had the most success with has been the 4-2-3-1 as the wingbacks stay defensive and you can have one of the cm/cdm’s move up field while the other stays back. We can test out a few to see what works, but I highly suggest staying away from any formation with 3 or 5 defenders as they just leave you too vulnerable. AI is absolute ass at defending in pro clubs 😅
