Basically Honey I Shrunk The Kids survival game from Obsidian.

Only a small introduction. My names paul live in south wales but not welsh so hopefully that'll keep the sheep jokes to a minimum . I tend not to play one or a couple of games always floating through quite a few as i'm some what of a trophy whore but as i reached my platinum goal i have stopped buying shit just for a digital trophy. Been looking for an old style forum based community instead of a discord based one which brought me to you guys. It does look very expensive, i don't want to have to fork out £70 if a controller breaks. They're already expensive enough. I'll wait till i've got one in my hands till i pass judgement, although all i need is something with buttons and analog sticks. I don't need it to tell me the weather and drive me to work.

Been playing the remastered version since the lockdown and it really is such an incredible game. I didn't get round to playing it back in the day but the popularity of the series over the years has been evident so I decided to give it a shot rather just watch and read about it and it's just been a fascinating experience throughout. I really like the minimalistic narrative approach and the lack of hand-holding as you are placed into a mysterious world and have to fend for yourself knowing you have to 'ring two bells'. There are no checkpoints, waypoints of saves on the fly - the risk/reward nature of the gameplay can be punishing but equally rewarding. You kill, collect souls and use this to level up at Bonfires you light but in doing so you respawn every enemy. Sometimes you may hold a high number of souls but aim to push onwards at the risk of dying or you may want to head back to the nearest bonfire and 'bank' your souls only to see everyone come back alive. It never feels tiring or repetitive and if you die, you can still retrieve your souls as long as you don't die again in doing so. The level and world design is some of the most varied and unique I have ever seen with endless secrets and mystery. Learning each area, how many enemies there are and simply the layout of the lands is just so satisfying. The controls may seem clunky at first and the attacks are brutal but once you adapt and improve your character build things become much better and you 'git gud'! The bosses are also incredible spectacles and defeating them feels so good especially if it's a difficult fight. You can essentially move around the world and fight anything but doing at the right time, at the right level and with the best attributes is the best way and earning that is part of the incredible experience. This is definitely one of the best RPG's I have ever played and I can't wait to go through Dark Souls II and 3 next. The game also seems to have substantial replayability as well as coop and PVP.

@GazzaGarratt I normally do my press-ups in 3 sets between getting up and going to work during the week and I don't prefer any part of the day above another tbh. I did find the 100 press-ups a day for 30 days to see if it was a gimmick but I actually felt it worked for me, I went from struggling through 30 to actually hitting 50.in 1 go.

You reminded me I needed to reinstall the Remastered edition, so thanks! These games are incredibly difficult to get right. You can be wiped clean before you even know what hit you, and the bosses are such dicks unless you have really learned the patterns.

Grounded will be the first Xbox Game Preview title available with Xbox Game Pass. On Steam, well that's music to my ears. It will also be 4 player co-op 🙂

Been a while since I've been in a party chat. I finished cod pretty early achieved the plat on the 16th November but once you get to know me a little better you'll notice me and trophies have a special relationship 😁

I miss this game a shit ton. Phil hit the nail on the head, it's such a laugh but initially lacked that content. Funnily enough it has quests and missions but they are just really hidden so it's very much about finding the start of them and going from there. Will it be crossplay or crosssave with Microsoft at any point?

We haven't had a decent drop like that for a while. Just checked out if Dirt Rally 2.0 has MP - and it has but no quite sure if its any good. Do we think its worth a stab folks?
