The Xbox One X plays as if its an old diesel sub trying to turn one of its 4 engines over to be able to run again after sitting at the bottom of the ocean for the last 50 years. Hardware specs aside, they did not optimize a single damn thing in regards to the system OS. I can literally start both systems at the same time, turn Destiny 2 on, log in, join a crucible match and start getting farmed by premade teams on my PS4 before the Xbone even gets t a point where I can start the same game. You could have the best hardware in the world, but when your OS is basically windows 3.11, it doesn't matter. For me, 2 things need to happen for the Ps5, XBox ##, Optimize the damn OS to better utilize the Hardware, and Open up for actual legit mods in games. (I will say the switch beats them both though, its just a shame there are not better games for it)

By the end of the year I expect conversations to start around the next generation of consoles. PS4 is on its way out already...

Activision have well and truly fucked it with this game. Free maps could have made up for the missing campaign but the fact they're actually charging for maps is utter bullshit. It's like they actually want to kill this franchise.

the bow is back! that's a relief. looks like they might've added a more robust dodging mechanic for melee combat? if so, that'd be sweeeeeet. the 9:00 mark sums up TLOU for me -- low health, no ammo, just wits and crafting limited resources on the fly. survival over slaughter. it's the anti-CoD. also, Ellie's "old man" better be Joel.

Plus we already know that at least 4 of them are gonna be remakes in either the base game or DLC. How many fucking times do I have to pay for Firing Range? I bet the pass is essentially all or nothing too so you either buy all the post-launch maps or none at all. If Battlefield 5's maps are genuinely free with no strings attached, then there is no reason to buy this - it's bad enough that it's a BO3 asset rip that copies all other original games and has no campaign. Why the fuck would I pay more money for less content in a COD game! I don't really trust EA with Battlefield either so we'll have to wait and see on that one but so far that's winning by virtue of less scumbaggery.

Tbh this is the only game that's grabbed my interest to draw me away from my usual meat and potatoes, I generally give something else a try so I'll be keeping an eye on this after all my usual meat and taties don't exactly inspire confidence

8 players is all thats on my mind. Great to hear it. Now its about how many raids can they give us to keep us wanting to play more. Also, how will they vary the fight to you rather than 8 players in cover just shooting an AR continuously for 30 minutes at one target. I'm sure they know this but as its not got any 'space magic' they can call upon, it is a little harder for the Division to make raids work. The specialist trees at the end of the campaign are interesting. I certainly wouldn't want to feel locked down to just the Sniper class but does that mean we have to create 2nd and 3rd characters to play the other specialists?

Be interesting to see where the Xbox One X stands because a couple of key developers reckon it only has another two years despite it being a OTT powerhouse right now. Year one has been a complete write-off though. Even the PS4 Pro is beginning to show its age and is way behind the X so I'd expect Sony to move towards the PS5 to get back out in front in terms of name and technical power once again.

Is it bad I've never played Skyrim 🙊🙈 Oblivion was brilliant though. I've always been a fan of the Elder Scrolls games. Shame the ESO version weren't all that as I'd get behind this game if done correctly.

Thanks Bob, my eyes feel like they're bleeding but I had to give it a go! Made easier that others would help - start patrols whilst completing events. I did my Warlock for the opening tokens amd would've done my Hunter but based om how quick I was going I probably needed to go to 4.30am. I was up at 6am! Good Its about damn time we stopped with the My little Pony shit show we have been playing and got back to a gritty Post apocalyptic story with consequences. Now they just need to kill Zavala, Hawthorne, Failsafe, and the cock womble on Io. This game should be like Game of Thrones goddamnit (also I fully expect BungHole to bring him back as Cayde 7 and as an agent of Rasputin. Nothing is ever permanent in this game, you guys know that)

It does make you want to know more now about the story when before I was just bothered about us having good solid missions to play. The fact he shoots him with Ace of Spades, Cayde's own gun, which we know will be available to us at a point in the game makes you wonder will we actually have to face off against Uldrin?! Now that would be awesome. Also, they've made it clear the raid and location are entwined to the story of Forsaken so we may not defeat the boss behind all this at the end of the campaign, Uldrin or whoever, more so could be the actual raid boss. Similar to Oryx and the Taken King.

I never played the mp of the original, but I read it was very underrated. That gameplay looks dark and gritty, it plays like a cut scene. If that is actual real world gameplay, then it will be a mega game. Via the FG App

I've been waiting years for this! I loved the original but 2 was just an exceptional step up. Never forget the first time walking into the police station. Just hope they don't drift too far away from the spirit of the original game.

The original was amazing with fantastic mechanics and tremendous fun so this one should be very good and worth following.
