I'm not sure what people's ages are on here, I missed out on the 80s (born 1990) but I have a fascination for a lot of things from that era, music, gadgets, fashion etc and it's something that I have never really implemented into my life. However I am sat here watching the first episode of stranger things and thinking how cool it would be to have some 80s themed items around my home (I'm sure my wife would kill me!) Just curious if anyone has anything round their homes that is 80s styled or perhaps even retro, old gadgets, posters etc that they would be happy to show off? I could find this thread falls flat on it's face as I'm weird but hey who knows 😄

Yeh the 80s seemed such a cool era but I was 84 so was only a kid of course. I still love the music now though. I like the idea of how professional sports people just mingled in with the public a bit more. And yes I think what you mean about the sports lee is that even the ones who made it lived a more normal lifestyle it seemed, eg snooker and darts players swigging pints and having a fag between games and footballers getting on the sesh every weekend 😂 but there were no camera phones to capture it back then

I was born in 86, so missed most of the fun in the 80's. I would more class myself as a 90's child in terms of growing up and the general experience. Unfortunately I don't own anything as far as I'm aware of from that time period.

Whilst born in the 80s, I really wished I was old enough to experience it in full flow. The Disco's, the nightclubs, the extravagant and hilarious outfits and mullets. Plus, I think there was probably a lot more opportunity when it came to sport and maybe making it as a professional in some of them. I'm not sure how much 80s stuff I have but I listen to a ton of music from that era. My probably my NES and Master System's come close as what I own. We used to have a Lamp from my Grandads that we put a new shade on it but the bottom was definitely 80s style. In the loft now, so i'll try and find it and share some pics when I can.

Just vinyl, must have been 10 when that Ghostbusters song came out and I got a record player for my 10th birthday. The first photo is what's left of my 12 inches and the second is when I'm a less excited 7 inches.

Yeah I had no idea he was good at cricket as well. Love the old Celtic manager Tommy Burns's quote during Gorams career. "When I pass you can put it on my tombstone, Goram broke my heart" Having read Goram made 26 appearances in the Old Firm Derby, 11 clean sheets and only 5 losses from that. Pretty good stats.

I have. It’s a lot more trial and error as oppose to a m-vania. There isn’t really any exploration outside of missions. Story was trippy as hell though.

Looks quality. I do like a 2D side scroller when done well... Have you tried Katana Zero? I have it on PC but I'm saving it for the Steam Deck. This looks very atmospheric I must say!

I had the chance to try this out during the Steam Next Fest and I'll definetly pick it up once it releases. Reminds me a lot of Blasphemous, also a 2D metroidvania that released sometime last year. It has a very gothic/Castlevania type look to it and the gameplay is fairly tight. I can already tell I'll be dropping some F-Bombs while playing this one.

Picked up a few SNES games last week. Final Fight is an absolute must. Was kind of a lesser game to Streets of Rage but it was still great to play. Always wanted to get into The Lost Vikings too. And any old golf game is a steal. 😎

@IRaMPaGe Classic film, I highly recommend it. Most of the actors are the musicians of the time. The main guy, Leroy Horsemouth was/is a famous drummer, for example. Classic tunes and translation into English 🙂

No age to go. I remember watching him back in the 90's in the Old Firm clashes that were insane. A class act and an amazing shot stopper. RIP ❤️

Yeah, the neon nightclub level is a thing to behold too. Plays very well and in single player it's very easy to control your AI squad mates. It's very tactical and slow paced, except when the shooting starts 🙂

Wowser, that looks like its come a long way already. Aesthetically pleasing to the eye this game.

No one likes EA's joke about singleplayer games, even EA | PC Gamer WWW.PCGAMER.COM EA dissed singleplayer games on Twitter, rankling current and former developers, plus everyone else. EA's shameful jibe would have a bit more merit if they actually had some good multiplayer titles to back up their stance but most of them are actually gutter-ranked games by the community and are average at best by critics. Some of their single player aspects such as Jedi Fallen Order and Titanfall 2 were highly regarded and you then compare that to tripe like Anthem. Most of the top games of the last gen have been single player focused. If it wasn't for EA's loot box model, they'd be long out of business or struggling at best.

So, with the help of @Greboth I've finally managed to get back on the Minecraft Realm Server. I've been stuck in a loading screen since the latest update came out introducing the Wild update and there has been no way to fix it. Deleting, reinstalling, leaving and rejoining the server just didn't work. Finally found a potential solution that I was in the server but I didn't know. I needed to refind the server, and then get killed by someone with some Wither Roses. Up steps @Greboth on upon hearing those delightful words to him. As soon as I died, up I popped into the game in a fresh place. Amazing. Thanks mate, its been annoying as hell just not being able to pop on for a few little bits here and there. In other news, we really should start building a wall where we can capture who has been on the FG server and help us know where everyone's builds are. Eventually i'd love to build a Sky Station, with multiple drop offs to different areas with their respective houses or other creations. If anyone wants to join and help feel free and start talking about how to do this! Outside of that, i've just been updating the golden bridge abit to Yara's house across from the main spawn area and also building a small fireworks display on some extended floating islands outside @Lurch 's and my mountain house cos there really hasn't been any reason to go near them since we built them. With the help of @Greboth again, it seems to have a better delay system so I just need to add some: Railings so people don't fall off Fireworks and tons of pretty ones Large Chest for extra storage Make the island look more like a floating island with blocks underneath signage to explain how it all works Hopefully at nighttime when its finished people can log on and see some fireworks working at random occasions 😄 What's everyone else been building?? There seems to be so many different builds on there now, its great because I can't keep up! 😅
