I'm really looking forward to this one. BO3 is my favourite COD over the last few years and Treyarch always deliver. With how utterly shite both IW and WW2 were I'll be ready for some more COD as I'll have a nice break from it. And people will say they hope it's BOTG but I hope it's got the same movement system as BO3 as that was fun and BOTG is fucking dull as dish water.

According to the rumours it's a near-futuristic setting but more likely to be BOTG than advanced movement. We'll have to wait and see though.

As long as it isn't WW2 again. Can't stand having limited weapons and gear. More choice is better.

I'm weirdly looking forward to it to. Black Ops 3 was one of the first CoDs I got to experience with most FG veterans and I thoroughly enjoyed the movement system and wall running. I didn't think it was over the top and it had pretty decent maps so if Treyarch don't deviate from what they know their playerbase wants from their games this really could be a great one to look forward to as a community.

I think it's supposed to be set between Black Ops 2 and Black Ops 3 which is good. I'm hoping it wont look as cartoony as BO3 did and hopefully there wont be things like specialists either as that was a bit of a downer for me and the campaign was god awful; probably the worst I've played in the series. Treyarch are the only decent devs left that you can trust so I'm sure they'll deliver something half decent regardless but I can't see them ever producing anything like they did with WaW, BO1 and BO2.

I hear it's supposed to be set in 2020 so before black ops 2, if so it's pretty much modern warfare so I'd guess BOTG. I also hear it will come with remastered WaW not sure how I feel about that as I hate this remastered nonsense unless it's a bonus but I never played mp in that game as I was still playing cod 4. My only gripe with treyarch games (bo2 and 3)  is their appalling hit detection and I would like to try core gamemodes again.

They need to let Treyarch handle MP and then get Sledgehammer and IW working on other content.

Treyarch SP campaigns are usually pretty shit whereas they always make solid MP.

IW and SHG are shit at MP but make solid SP content.

Ah, the difference of personal preference is already here. I'll be sitting this one out. Never been a fan of the Treyarch games, WaW was decent but people started hacking there very early, BO1 was alright, except the party functions were fucked for about 4 months... BO2 was the shittiest CoD game I've played to date along with AW. I never touched BO3 cause let's face it, it's pretty much Halo with more different guns. To save myself from the rage coming with unloading half a clip at someone and getting 5-7 hitmarkers without killing then getting turned on and killed in 3 shots, or getting shot around corners, I'm staying away from this.

I have to say bo2 and 3 were saved by hardcore mode, however hardcore seems to work well in treyarch games but crap in infinity ward and sledgehammer games

World at War and Black Ops 1 and 2 are 3 of my top 5 CoD games. I hope 4 is solid. I'm enjoying WW2 though. Don't get all the hate. It's fun.

Yeah I’m the same. However I loved MW3. Think it was more so that’s when all of the Xbox guys started playing together

BO2 was absolutely horrendous to play in Core and that's the game that made me switch to HC. HC in that game and BO3 was great fun and so much more enjoyable than Core as I encounter all the same issues as @ChaosGladiator 

Also, the maps in COD games can make or break a particular game and Treyarch always make excellent maps. I just hope to god they don't bring fucking Puketown back AGAIN! I hate that map with a passion and I'm just sick of ever fucker choosing it and then quitting 30 second later when they've been spawn killed 5 times in a row

Yeah I switched to HC in bo2, tried to play with Americans in core and it was pointless worst hit detection ever.

Im guessing nuketown will be back, thunder already made a video saying it's more than a possibility.

I'll take a wild guess that Nuketown will be a pre-order bonus as usual. It was so bad in BO3 that I uninstalled it so I wouldn't have to play on it ever again. 

 

Treyarch have some of the best maps in the series such as Summit, Firing Range, WMD, Jungle and Standoff but I wouldn't want them to recycle/remake/re-imagine any - I'd rather have a fresh batch this time around and no sniff of NuketoIVn either. 

 

I have a horrible feeling this game will have a Battle Royale map too so COD can keep up the tiring trend and also win back some of the kids that went to Fortnite plus all their trusted cakesocking YouTuber's.

That's what annoys me. They have so many maps that are 1000X better than Nuketown yet they keep bringing it back. It was *sort of* OK in BO1 but it just doesn't work with how fast the game is now. Bring back WMD! That map is excellent.

Absolutely man. DI for life [emoji16] The game was solid but the good times we all had together stands out to me more than the game itself. Thinking back though, it was a real solid game. I'd add it to my list.

This game could be CODs last chance for a lot of people. The general consensus is that they've released 2 turds over the last 2 years. This needs to be good or the series may be in trouble.

This will definitely perform better than Sledgehammer and IW's games I bet but even that might not be enough. Fortnite is dominating YouTube and Twitch that nobody is really interested in COD now and that includes even Activision's paid bum-boys. I've seen that content creators and Streamers barely get any ad money for COD-tagged videos now either so the franchise may struggle to capture the widespread audience that it used to. I bet they'll include a Battle Royale mode in a move of desperation and that may draw in more but it's a tiring brand of a tiring series in a tiring genre that's really running out of innovation and ingenuity. If Treyarch can't do it this year; COD is done with I think. 

 

I'm really praying that Treyarch do their best though as I'm pretty sick of Battle Royale now.

Other than the jumping crap, I really enjoyed Infinite warfare. It actually had more interest to me than CoD WW2
