Absolutely insane, how can anyone justify this.

    Is it literally cosmetic?

Sounds like pay to win at that price.

It's more than the base game cost. 🤢

I think this is misunderstood. You need to buy a set of skins which will cost you 9600 CoD points. They are 2400 CoD points each. If you buy them all you get the glove. So you're not really buying a glove for 9600 Cod points but you kind of are.

Personally I would never do that. I don't bother with purchased skins or blackcell.

However people should be clear that they aren't charging $80 for a single item.   I don't understand why someone for pay $15 for a skin, but I tend to not comment about what people should do with their own money

Do you feel scavenger gloves are that useful? I run the ammo box on my classes which then allows me to run some different gloves but I guess it depends on your playstyle.

thanks for the response, very useful 🙂

I prefer to have the ACS to hold/capture objectives. Same with the trophy.  I will use one vs the other depending on the team I have. If I am a team that doesn't play the objective I use the ACS as that is like having a team mate caping and I can move onto the next objective.

So yah the gloves are essential.  If you camp however, they are useless. You got to move around and pick up that ammo

I would think with SND you would want the trophy so that you can plant the bomb without worrying about being grenade or RPGed

  3.

Depends on map and game mode for me

Something like TDM I use the MCW or BAS-P depending on the size of the map.  BAS-P for longer range. I use the Assasin Vest in that case

Something like  DOM/Hardpoint is use the MCW or Rival 9.  I use the engineer vest with tac mask + EOD + ACS  or demo vest with 2 letals which depend on map (claymore vs semtex for exampe or drill charge)

Something like  KC is use Rival 9 and combat knife with the coms vest

On maps like wasteland, estate, rundown I switch to the KATT-AMR sniper

All my classes use the scavenger gloves

Mostly use the ACS or trophy system

I run UAV, Counter UAV, Sentry for KS

Pro tip if you're came grinding and you have one of those "get 25 tac stance kills" challenges: Go into Hardcore Meat 24/7. Kit your gun out with all attachments that help with tac stance spread and then go into your options and make the centre dot on your screen as big as possible. It took me 2 games to get 25 tac stance kills.

Will keep that in mind thanks. Tac stance is a pain in the ass. I find it's a great way to get yourself killed rather than being an asset

Meat is turning out to be a great map for me.

Yeah that's not really detrimental enough tbh..

I don't know. Most people seem to favor Rust, Shipment and highrise. It's not like you won't know where they are. Also I tend to use thermal sights on almost everything so it's relatively easy to spot them.

Most people don't even seem to bother with UAVs. The SAM KS takes them down in no time. The skulls might be missed a little.

I think I am going on 8 hours and there are still maps that I gave yet to play because everyone always picks the same ones

Did this even get out of 'beta'?

Activision has announced Call of Duty DMZ will no longer receive new content updates, sounding the death knell for the mode.

Half arsed support and a lack of monetisation opportunities for Activision. Shame because they could've done so much more to it with a dedicated team working on this mode.

There was monetization with the DMZ "pay to win" skins. It's too because I really liked the mode. What they did with it is they turned it into Zombies which I play as well and it is enjoyable. Main difference is that there is no PvP but you can squad up in order to get a 6 man team going. Will see how that goes for battlepass progression. T

Well it didn't take long for some to find a glaring issue with the progression system and tbh he's right. Having played yesterday I already prefer this over mw2 simply due to the maps. Also sbmm 🤣🤣 they really need to tone that shit down.

    However

Coming back to this, the issue was a non issue in my opinion. I am already done with all the unlocks and its not Christmas yet

Did it by playing MP and getting the 3 challenges done. Also winning games. My w/l ratio is about 1.5 so not bad but not stellar either

playing Zombies (that's good for another 3 challenges) and doing contracts. Contracts count like wins. If you got a squad and play well you can do 8-10 contracts in one game

playing Zombies and extacting gear and guns which means you don't have to use points for the unlocks. That's how I got all of my lethals and tactical unlocks as well as a number of guns. I had the MCW when I was at level 6 for examples. That's a default gun in Zombies. All I had to do is jump into the game and extract. Took less than 5 minutes.

When I checked I had about 6.5 hours of game play in MP and was level 55. At 11 hours I had everything unlocked.  Hardly worth a rant

I won't lie I am having immense fun knifeing people 😄  I have started to use one of the new guns (Holger) which is also pretty good. I'm torn at the moment, if I start using the gun more my K/D will increase, I think I am sitting around 1.1 at the moment which is 0.4 off the last game. Running round with the knife is holding me back in that sense but on the flipside I have probably picked up the most kill confirmed tags than anyone in the world the past week because I can't avoid them after stabbing someone in the back 😄

There is also quite a funny animation sometimes when you knife, it sort of just jabs the knife out into the player and honestly it is the most pathetic way to die, it looks like someone getting stabbed by a butter knife from my view 😂Couple that with the enemy trying to do it, that's when I know I have won because they are blatantly raging and wanting to get their own back 🤣

What's your setup? I use to love Maraton + commando + lightweight + tac knife to enrage people. It's the only nuke I ever got on MW2. Got it on the quary map.  Might be fun to run something similar again

The matchmaking in this is so blatantly rigged that it's just ridiculous.

One match you're up against G Fueled bunny hopping sweats who play like they're in some sort of tournament. Next match it's like you're up against players who've never played a video game before.

There's nothing satisfying about doing well when you don't know if you actually played well or if the game put you up against a load of Timmy-No-Thumbs.

Welcome to call of duty! Are you new here mate?

It was most noticeable from MW19 onwards. Cold War, Vanguard, MW2 absolutely riddled with that STD ahem I mean SBMM.

I don't know that you arguments make sense.  If you a strong SBMM you would either always be playing againsts the tournament sweats (if you rule)  or always be playing the Timmy-No-Thumbs (if you suck).

Server based and no SBMM should be giving you random skill levels.

My main complaint is the jackasses in objective modes that don't PTFO at all. When you are in a game of DOM and someone gets 0 caps but 30 kills, they are useless to the cause and they should immediately get thrown into 20 consecutive matches against bunny sweats 😉 . Same with KC that picks up 2 tags all game

I'm sure you should be able to yes great call. Normally once I unlock create a class I forget those exist. Also just realized my wins weren't counting because I hadn't done 3 daily challenges🙄👍

Exactly. The default all count for the challenges. Zombies also count. So that’s more daily challenge. Additionally if you extract with something equipped in zombies it unlocks as well. That how I got my letals as well as some guns in no time at all. So there are ways around it.

I have not been paying attention to the unlock but I don't see his issue being an issue. Go and unlock everything up to level 55, the very next day do your 3 daily challenges, isn't that going to unlock everything that you needed that challenge for and unlike his rant you won't have to wait until Christmas but you will need to wait a single day?

I played for a few hours yesterday. Tried Core to start with but the TTK just pissed me off. So I jumped into Hardcore and enjoyed the game a lot more.

One thing I don't like is that the colours in the game are very dull. All brown and grey. I wish it was a bit more vibrant.

Go and customize. I believed you can competely change the colors if you wanted to

As ever with CoD the hit detection is meh.  Dying to what feels, and weirdly occasionally sounds like, a sniper shot but seeing the kill cam and it shows you getting hot 4 or 5 times.  Yet other games, going on a spree knowing the enemy team are probably at the end of the horrible deaths.

That said overall, I enjoyed what I played last night and great to be playing the old maps again.  The new unlock system is weird in that it doesn’t really tell you what to do or how to do it - in that it says complete 3 daily challenges to unlock.  Which I unlocked but as far as I can tell I didn’t complete any daily challenges so I dunno.  But I like the system in general, being able to unlock the perks, greades, kill streaks etc. you want rather than just grinding levels unlocking loads of stuff you’re not going to use to get to the stuff you want.

Go to the progression option. In next to social and customization. If you look at that it tells you the progression for up to level 55, the guns, the operators, the missions and a bunch of other things.

I played it. It was OK but nothing great. I used the new guns and the old guns.

The TTK for me was better this time as compared to Beta. I am using snipers and the M4. Snipers are a one hit Kill.  I probably would enjoy it more if I had teams that play the objective and weren't so stupid. Why play domination if you can't be bothered to get onto the flag when you spawn right next to it

Zombies are a disappointment so far.  They aren't as intense or fun as regular zombies. The maps is much to large and you can simply run away or drive over them with a car.  Unlike DMZ other players will not be able to attack you so it isn't as intense.

I think I made it to level 16.

I don't see myself playing this as much as did MWII

I managed to watch the whole thing on YouTube - seems like there's only about 3-4 traditional COD missions (which weren't great either) and the others are just lame padding using Warzone assets that offer nothing to the story or wider narrative. This nauseating obsession with armour plates is also getting a bit cringe now too. This campaign was definitely the MW2 DLC (and definitely unfinished) to introduce Makarov, but now they'll have to make MW4 to tie the thing off when the real MW3 was likely supposed to be out in 2025.

They've thrown the brand under the bus and made series look a shambles all because they didn't have the balls just to sell it as a premium DLC and take the hit from the people they disappointed with MW2 not wanting to buy into the new content. They'll get away with it still but this is just another example of the community being completely screwed and let down.

The amour plates is total dmz. They are essential in dmz

It did feel like DMZ. But I did finish the campaign. Any of the orange loot boxes you opened you received a unique weapon that will carry forward to multiplayer. Plus the unlocks for each mission you complete you get rewards.

Where did you see that about the orange boxes?  I haven’t but I haven’t been paying attention.

I completed the campaign. It was a dmz tutorial set on easy. I think if you play dmz and did shadow company and crown missions you appreciate the story line a bit more but I think the 4/10 review rating is well deserved.

Based on what you said I can see a point for the campaign as a looting excersice but little else

Is Shoot house the new Nuketown? Kind of feels like it.

I wish we could get some of the Original MW3 maps back too, like good ones. Not Strike or that other massive downtown one we had in MW2.

I guess nuketown is a Treyark map so it does not show up in infinity ward games.  I rather dislike Shoot house. I never played that map well. Great for getting sniping kills if but other than that not really my still based on the fact that I mostly play DOM or hardpoint.

I would say the replacement is more Shipment. Although Shoot house has the multilevel and the windows like nuketown

Has anyone actually played the campaign yet?

Reddit aren't happy about anything! Especially COD.

I did the first 4 missions. They are a lot like DMZ missions with less and easier bots and no enemy operators.  Nothing special.

I would describe it as a DMZ tutorial.

I think I did the first 3 and didn't even realize I was done because I was expect way more than that.

Rather underwhelming so far. Only reason I am doing them is the rewards and to get the weapon blue print at the end

Also if you played DMZ and the missions you probably have more of an appreciation for the campaign. A lot ties in with the Shadow one and Crown missions that people had to do.  The Koni are a big part of those missions and the enemies as are the missiles, missile sights and some of the other stuff. However a good campaign would be able to stand on its own

Hold on, I'm paying £60 specifically not to play that fucking lighthouse map, that fucking black gold map and that fucking border crossing map - they better not be bringing them back !

They say it's a dedicated play list. So I thing you can avoid them

Also there will be voting. So maybe people will vote against the shit maps, or maybe for just to troll people

  18.

from the  Call of duty site

"To further augment an already-impressive selection of Core 6v6 maps, we are excited to announce that a number of fan-favorite Modern Warfare II maps will gradually become available to play in Modern Warfare III throughout the live seasons. The initial selection — scheduled to be four Core 6v6 maps that include Farm 18, Mercado, and Shoot House — will become available shortly after launch in a dedicated Playlist"

The critics will say, see told you it's just an DLC or expansion pack.

I am ok with that. We get new operators, new guns, the MW2 2009 maps (which I mostly liked), a new campaign and zombies.

As long as it plays well I'll be happy with it. Too bad DMZ doesn't seem to be getting anything

  19.

It was Meh. But I got it anyways. I really liked the MW2 maps for the most part and I am hoping that I enjoy Zombies. The last blackops that all I played because I disliked the MP so much.

If not that's the way it goes.  If I get 5-10 hours of enjoyment out of it, it about the same as going to the movies, games, theatre so I am ok with
