    yeah!

I cheesed it using this method, you need to make sure you have armor piercing rounds, but I am trying to clear the castle normally for a different mission where I need to plant some documents from Al Mazrah in the castle at the moment, I can usually get all the way to the top room but the riot shield guys in that top room are insane.

I have not gotten that far but tried drill charges? That a molotovs are my go to shield guy extermination method. But I prefer the drill charges since you can do that from behind walls. Wonder they didn't do that in the video instead of firing also

I’ve been stacking battle rage with a uav then popping the battle rage when appropriate, if you can get a streak it works really well and is extended with each kill.

that’s the only real problem with dmz solo you have to be ready to die and lose all your kit, you can quite easily take out a squad if you get the drop on them but if a squad gets the drop on you then you are mostly stuffed.

the good thing is that’s it’s reasonable easy to get kitted back up.

Just not getting maps that are conducive to it. I get 1 or two kills per rage, then it expires before I find anyone else. This is where you need shipment/nuketown kind of maps. I think I am 10 kills aways so plenty of time still. Will see tomorrow what the two new challenges are. Did you notice if we can mix and match the quest items? Some from MP and some from WZ? I was thinking of just doing the 5 contracts instead as its a hell of a lot less boring that trying to get kills with a kit I never use

I find it's quite a fashion trend at the moment for governments to just mandate things rather than promote and fund good ideas and investments.

Twisting the hand only makes people double down.

I've always lived by the philosophy that if an idea is good it needs not be forced. A flowing river will always eventually find the fastest route.

I wish I could comment more on the actual subject but I don't own a car (or even a driver's license) and don't plan to anytime soon. I'm quite happy cycling, walking, getting the bus or getting a lift to places.

Well I guess that is a comment in itself which supports what luseth has to say. That gets much harder however once you have two kids and do everything you have to do as a parent. My 26 year old son is the same. He has a license however. My daughter no license either. Both are downtown dwellers so there really is no need for a car. Hardest thing is groceries and everyone delivers these days or UBER it back home

It goes hand in hand though doesn't it? Public transport and it's reliability issues. If more people used public transport rather than individual cars, it would mean less traffic on the roads allowing buses for example to run more on schedule and to also run quicker because they are not sat in traffic. More people using buses means that more buses required and with more regularity. It is easy to blame it on poor public transport but it does require a shift in attitudes from the populace as well does it not?

I am not sure how it works in the US but here if they put on more buses right away to try and improve the system all that would do is put more traffic on the roads and make things worse, people won't suddenly one day go oh there are more buses I will start using them, they will likely carry on as they are and those additional buses would take up more space on the road and likely be empty. It requires a mentality shift as well as investment and improvement in the services.

I don't disagree it requires a change in mindset. However for that a good system is needed as people already have it good in terms of moving (although the environmental impact is bad)

    In Ottawa

    - Busses have their own bus lanes, so the traffic impact is minimal

    - We have an LRT. It's ridiculously unreliable. So much so that there was a provincial enquiry into it and the Mayor and City manager were accused on incompetence.

    - The city had recently invested $6B into that system and yet you cannot go North/South using it. Only east/west. There are a lot of people south including our Airport. However money is going in but the results are not what people want/need

    - The system is designed to take people from suburbs to our downtown which is where most federal/city employees and the 2 universities are located. That's great for that group. Horrible the others. There are of the others.

    - With people's busy lives of dropping off the kids, going to work, picking up the kids, taking them to Hockey/Soccer/Karate, going home, cook dinner, do the homework people are just not willing to sacrifice that extra time to bus it. You get a hell of a lot done with those two extra hours a day.

I think the ideal scenario for us would be that your first insure vehicle should have to be an zero emission/Hybrid vehicle. Most people have two cars or more anyways. Then you can get whatever you want. I think in this country it would have a impact without changing people's lifestyle too much. Most people have relatively short trips where they can charge daily.

The AI seems to be fixed now, only had a couple of dmz games yesterday as I need to do the crossbow event challenges so have been doing some MP but they were much easier in the games I did do and I didn’t get swamped in reinforcements

Good to know, yah to 50 battle rage kills are driving me nuts

But how often do you travel that far?  I don't know about your situation or Canada's but in the UK the average journey is only 12km.  I know for me, out of a 250 mile range EV, I could get around 6-7 regular weeks of driving out of it before I'd need to charge it.  That's not to gloss over the other problems with EV's, of which I agree there are many, but range is often given as an excuse when in reality, the range of EV's easily covers 99.99% of journeys.

Often enough for it to be a problem if I had only 1 vehicle. My wife's family and our son Live on Toronto and we are in Ottawa. We probably make the trip 8-9 times a year. So I need something that can carry 3 adults and a mid size dog (which is one of the  reason for the SUV).

My biggest problem is lack of a "personal" station. Like I said getting one would cost me $35

Agreed @techno we should really just be looking to move away from everyone owning their own vehicle. Public transport should be good enough that it's not needed, there shouldn't be a need to commute to an office for work when you can do it from home. I mean there are cities now trying to move away from cars altogether (just thinking of Oslo in Norway here).

That's something the doesn't work that well in America again. The public system is quite poor and most companies are now insisting on a hybrid model where you need to go in 2-3 times a day.  For me to bus it to work requires 90 minutes 1 way. To drive requires about 20.  That's to go between two major suburbs 20 km apart. People just don't to spend an extra 2 hours a day on the bus if the can avoid it. They if you miss on you have to wait another 20 minutes.  There's usually ample free parking and gas here is $1.4 a litter so people drive. Not great for the environment but I can understand why people do it.  I live in the Capital, so you would think the public system would be top notch. Smaller cities are even worse.  San jose was pretty similar. To go from our place to Intel headquarters was 11 minutes by car (6 miles) and about 70 minutes LTR/bus

  7. I liked the technology but they are over priced in Canada in we lack the charging infrastructure.

To get a charging station in our Condo is $35K. Most parking spots in Ottawa/Toronto/Montreal (which are major cities) have 2-4 charging station for 500 spots. Most gas stations and rest stops do not have charging stations so you cannot charge your car

In Canada where it gets to -25C regularly in the winter and the distances between cities can be quite long (over 400 km between Ottawa/Toronto) your car might not have the range to get you there.

The need to fix that before it can become viable if you have a single car or all EVs.

I would have no problems with getting one if they could get me a place to charge it easily

Ah once again you come on with your non argument especially as it seems you don't know anything about the guy. How was cold war for you? Vanguard did you play that?

Maybe I should post murdashow video instead I'm sure he got enough kills to back up the argument.

Cold war I got to prestige 5 or 6. Played a lot of zombies, soloed everyone of them. I got to round 100 with a few players.  Great fun. Unlocked all operators and guns and a number of skins

Vanguard had nothing I liked. So I didn't play technically. However a played a fair amount of Warzone. Unlocked everything possible without the MP game which I never got. Had all the guns and a number of operators.

Not once however did I complain about those games or the developers that put it together

How's shipment 24/7 working out for you?

So kill cams have been removed from core. Is this a bug or intentional it's hard to tell these days with all the incompetence around.

Well the way this guy died and kept getting his ass handed to him I can see why he would care about lack of kill cams and complain about worse cod ever. I guess when you can't beat them, you go play destiny against AI

Then they either bugged it or changed it part way through season 1 because I deployed into Building 21 countless times on a single keycard. Honestly though if it stays this way I can't really see myself going into Building 21 I'm not hunting Al Mazrah for a keycard or 40k from the buy to roll into Building 21 and die to God Tier bots immediately.

Maybe I never noticed then as you would need to extract with it and that really happened to me in building 21.  At one point I had 5-6 of them and they seemed to be getting used up

  11. 6 minutes ago, Tove said:

Building 21 now consumes an access card when you enter. So you need to either buy or loot one each time you want to take on Building 21

It was like that before, there was also the blue and red card for certain areas. What's changed?

I was rolling in a 4 man yesterday and we called in three exfil and when we called it in this triggered two choppers worth of reinforcements, one of which landed right on the exfil spot.

I haven’t managed a single exfil on the new map yet,

I did two but by pure luck. I called in the SAM site first and we managed to survive.  Once that was done, the choppers can come and attack you.

Luckily the same site was very close to the extract point

  13. Well I tried it and didn't like it

The guns and attachments  you can use are limited as are the perks. For example no thermal or silencers

You only get the predator as a KS

The connection wasn't that great. Maybe due to a small player base

I also really wonder why some players decide to play this. Why do rank play if you aren't going to go for the objective and just hide in a corner to get kills. That's what MP TDM is for. All the modes are objective based

I went for some DMZ on Ashika Island and man that map is tough, because it’s smaller and everyone spawns around the edge of the map and you have to push inwards to do basically anything you find that you come across other players really early on.

I did some missions on Ashika and then dropped over to Al Mazrah and finished some more missions here, I finished with a few 6v6 games. Looking forward to jumping back into DMZ tonight and making progress towards that third insured weapon slot.

Yah that map hard. I think you need a good squad to succeed there. I did do a few extractions but there is little loot from what I saw. I tried to do the gas can one. There are only two fuel stations and none had the cans. Could not find vests either. Backpacks are not a problem. Will take time to get use to it

AI's are crazy I just got spawn rushed by a group of around 8 AI's

So much for the balancing uh?

Did you try the new map? Those are insane.

I think you need a real good squad to make progress with those. Will see with the missions are like.

Ranked play was awesome in Black Ops 2 yet they've bollocksed it up ever since when they have attempted it. This looks a bit better but with such a competitive core casual playlist, I'm not sure if there will be many adopters outside of the sweatiest of the sweats especially with it being more watered-down and having a more strict ruleset. Competitive is something COD has always struggled with in terms of enticing players and viewership and with it coming so late, I'm not sure how much appeal there will be unless there are significant rewards. I just wish they built upon the foundation of what they created with BO2 and delivered with that through the decade rather than trying to integrate the competitive aspect into the core playlists and then attempting again now and then to see if it would fly as a standalone. They even tried to build BO4 around this entirely and then just gave up.

Can't see many content creators going for it either because they will be exposed for how shit they are not being able to compete against bots in VPN lobbies.

    Nevermind blackops

Use the COD mobile. It exists for multiplayer and battle royal and it seemed popular enough each season.

They had pretty good rewards in terms of skins and blue prints so that was the incentive to play. If I remember right the skin was for BR and the blue print for MP. I think you had to get to gold to get it so it wasn't ridiculously hard. You got a picture frame (calling card) to reach the top tier.

Mobile is about the integrate WZ2.0 so it would be a good time to sink up the two

Well Karen, if you paid attention you would ask yourself what the hell is a playist. We all know what a playlist is, but a playist?

Also competitive is  4x4 and not 6x6 so a top player only has to carry 3 sorry asses instead of 5

The "playlist" is also limited to hardpoint, control, S&D according to the announcement (I hope that's wrong and there is actually more than that).

I think its good in one sense as for your first ever season of Ranked, there isn't any Skill Rating to go by so I like that everyone starts at the same level playing field.

That being said, don't be surprised to see them after this Season. They'd probably get criticised if they don't do it in future seasons as people will expect to slotted into where they think they should be far quicker.

Equally, means its easier for them to throw in the gamemode quicker without developing the placement matches. 😄

    That's how cod mobile worked.

First time you start at the bottom.

presumably you progress to something better

your rank for next season is established for next season, however there is a max which I think is gold

If you pass on the season, the next season you start at the bottom again

The biggest problem was that once you got to the high ranks, getting a match was hard. There weren't enough players to match up quickly and that was top tier gold. So I just stopped playing it
