  1. Would be good to get a couple more on fifa from FG, otherwise the month seem's ok but I find I just add PS plus games to my library these day's and never actually play them.
  2. Looking back we were in a state of transition, moving away from 16 bit graphics to experience our first forray into 3d. A lot of the 3d models were blockish and certainly would not hold up well today, heck it's not often you see someone make a 90s style game but people do keep going back to our 16 bit era. So, are there any games you remember fondly? For me it'ss the obvious final fantasy games, but in addition to that I always remember fighting force. Spending a lot of time on streets of rage when I was younger I suppose this was the sort of game that evolved from them, walking around 3d levels beating the crap out of people. So, are there any that you remember fondly?
  3. I loved the mickey games when I was younger. The music is still quite delightful even today 🙂
  4. So we managed to get on this last night, Lee, Tom and once we managed to install the games (the auto downloads did not work for various reasons). Anyway I had a lot of fun with this, it's a very different pace compared to Helldivers, COD etc. I managed to kill Lee with a bomb thinking friendly fire was off, we almost burnt down the ship multiple times, I watched Tom raise the anchor while the ship was in flames all next to him, we also locked Tom in the brig only for him to die and come back as a skeleton (just on my screen apparently). Oh and if your crew mates are drunk definately don't fall off the ship! It runs really smooth and the gameplay is quite simple in all honesty but it was kind of refreshing to play after some of the recent multiplayer games we have been into. There was no pressure to do anything and I think at the end of the session we were just sailing about aimlessly, playing music and just visiting random islands and such. I am quite looking forward to diving back in and unlocking more quests and such.
  5. You can put me in too
  6. Yeah I enjoyed just pottering around, it makes a nice change of pace from most games in that there is no urgency or rush to do things ^_^ Definately up for more of it and sorry I had to disappear, my daughter is awful at night when she wakes up ^_^
  7. Another RPG that I spotted in the past week, I don't think we have a thread for this but watching it, it looks very Game of thrones esque. Don't suppose anyone knows much about it?
  8. I loved the first game though I never completed it. It's exactly my sort of game, couple this with the likes of the witcher and I am in my element. I know there was a lot of uproar around the views of the person who created the first game but you can't take anything away from the original game. The trailers for this look more of the same but much better quality, so more polished shall we say. I will have to get back and complete the first one before it's out!
  9. I will double check the update when I get home 🙂 Ah bummer on the crossplay! I am happy to begin a new one if you want ^_^ I don't mind either way.

  14. I have picked this up and I think this early access but not sure. Anway I am putting down the PS4 launch and if anyone's interested I will be on this 🙂 Feel free to join up with me for some seafaring.
  15. With the tv series doing so well and the games generating additional interest I thought I would see if anyone is interested in jumping on fallout 76? I played a decent amount of this and can imagine it would be good fun to play if we can get a group of us ^_^
  16. The thing with triple A games now is justifying the price, smaller studios are able to make great games even graphically now with current software and that's only going to get easier as ai becomes much more implemented within the industry. I will keep an eye on this though i'm not sure I will have time to play it just yet.
  17. @GazzaGarratt could you update the date on the thread please? Also I have picked this up so if anyone wants to squad up come the end of the month I plan to put some events up 🙂
  18. So just before the tv series got going I began playing New Vegas again and with the series getting people playing the games again I thought I would start a thread and just see if anyone has any memorable or favourite moments from the games? I have platinumed 3 and 4 now with the intention to try and get New Vegas as well. Also played 76 which is quite good fun now so might jump back on it as I imagine the player count has gone up. Did anyone blow up Megaton for example? Watching Liberty Prime decimate our enemies or even getting your first piece of power armour and feeling a bit god like.
  19. I am onto episode 4 now and it carries on strong. You obviously appreciate everything more if you have played the games but it can easily be watched without any other knowledge. Some funny moments in this too!
  20. I am kind of done with the series again I think, it was good fun playing the last game with FG. This one with it essentially being dlc that we have paid full price for it kind of left a sour taste and then you see crap like this and it's just a bit scummy. I know you have to blame people buying stuff like this but equally so it's just scummy from the devs.
  21. I watched the first 20 minutes yesterday and was quite enjoying it but the kids then became a pain in the ass so couldn't really get going. I am thinking I may suggest to the missus tonight we watch the first episode once the kids are asleep and give gaming a miss for the evening, see how far we go ^_^
  22. My copy is ready to go now I have finished Final Fantasy ^_^ It tends to be cheaper on pc, fairly sure I saw it on cdkeys for about £40 when I bought my copy.
  23. A few from the latest Final Fantasy VII game -
  24. What eejit would do something like that?
  25. With Dragons dogma and it's reception I thought it may be worth a separate thread? Micro transactions have been around a while with games like Fifa and FUT, in fact from memory Two Worlds 2 had them? They are here to stay but are they being implemented in the right way? I have always been fine with them bringing in cosmetic changes to a game, visuals, the way a character looks. Pay to win is always a no for me. Studios do mention fairly frequently now the financial burden of making big triple A titles and looking at way's to recoup their costs, some have opted for higher game prices but then gamers complain about the high prices (we still yearn for yesteryear when a game cost £40), they bring in cheap simple DLC or in the latest attempt bringing micro transactions into games that maybe do not fully warrant it. So, do they have a place and if so how would you implement them? Or would you prefer that video game prices just go up instead and we keep away from them? To me they are the equivalent of netflix and such bringing in adverts and / or strategic placement of items in films or games that advertise a product to generate additional revenue and generally people have not really been too bothered by these sorts of things.
