  1. This post need's deleting, if you wanted a thread on 2000's games, go and make one instead of hijacking mine!! 😁
  2. I am a big fan of the originals, I just never got round to picking this up. That said if anyone fancies playing it through on co-op I am very much up for that 🙂
  3. I am not really too bothered about clans, feels a bit childish if anything just to encourage competitveness and let's be honest any clan with @slamminbones is going to end up last 😜 I would probably be more open to Lee's sort of suggestion, maybe picking some older games and having more, I want to say retro but just games of yesteryear. The likes of older battlefield games or maybe an older halo game, minecraft etc.
  4. I have not played this since I was much much younger, I think what put me off is that my brother sunk his life into it and he spiralled. Like completely screwed up his life and it just put me off the game, not necassarily the game's fault but because I gave him so much aggro for it just would definately look saft if I ever went and gave it another go. That said I want an MMO to get back into but none of the current one's particularly excite me currently.
  5. Just looking at my retro collection the last few days, it's quite brilliant when you consider how old some of it is and how well it has lasted. But it got me thinking, will modern consoles last as well? Will we even be able to play half the games in 20-30 years time when they have turned off servers and you can't get the day 1 patch to make a game playable? Are we just going to have a load of doorstops in a few years time?
  6. For me I have a few, I think it would be really difficult to choose 1 - Trails of Cold Steel - These are JRPG's with a sort of Westernised story i.e. when you really look beyond the JRPG element of it with the cutesy characters, females with big chests it plays out like a game of thrones style of thing with some of the politics going on. The Witcher - For this to be on none of your lists so far it is criminal. This for me is just the best game full stop. The story is brilliant and only adds to it. The last of us PT 1 - That has to be on anyone's list, the relationship between the two characters and the journey they go on. Chrono Trigger - This game takes you through so many worlds and there is some really creative elements within. Final Fantasy IX - For me it's like going to the theatre in the way the story is told, the relationships and then they way life & death is explored. I mean certain moments with Vivi are heartbreaking.
  7. I was born in 1990, that's no excuse! 😛 A lot of my gaming was gameboy / megadrive to be fair. The gameboy was the first one my parents bought me but I got the mega drive quite young as I was given it by my cousin, he was much older and I think at the age where gaming got left behind a little while he went off chasing girls and such I suspect.
  8. Would be good to get a couple more on fifa from FG, otherwise the month seem's ok but I find I just add PS plus games to my library these day's and never actually play them.
  9. Looking back we were in a state of transition, moving away from 16 bit graphics to experience our first forray into 3d. A lot of the 3d models were blockish and certainly would not hold up well today, heck it's not often you see someone make a 90s style game but people do keep going back to our 16 bit era. So, are there any games you remember fondly? For me it'ss the obvious final fantasy games, but in addition to that I always remember fighting force. Spending a lot of time on streets of rage when I was younger I suppose this was the sort of game that evolved from them, walking around 3d levels beating the crap out of people. So, are there any that you remember fondly?
  10. I loved the mickey games when I was younger. The music is still quite delightful even today 🙂
  11. So we managed to get on this last night, Lee, Tom and once we managed to install the games (the auto downloads did not work for various reasons). Anyway I had a lot of fun with this, it's a very different pace compared to Helldivers, COD etc. I managed to kill Lee with a bomb thinking friendly fire was off, we almost burnt down the ship multiple times, I watched Tom raise the anchor while the ship was in flames all next to him, we also locked Tom in the brig only for him to die and come back as a skeleton (just on my screen apparently). Oh and if your crew mates are drunk definately don't fall off the ship! It runs really smooth and the gameplay is quite simple in all honesty but it was kind of refreshing to play after some of the recent multiplayer games we have been into. There was no pressure to do anything and I think at the end of the session we were just sailing about aimlessly, playing music and just visiting random islands and such. I am quite looking forward to diving back in and unlocking more quests and such.
  12. Yeah I enjoyed just pottering around, it makes a nice change of pace from most games in that there is no urgency or rush to do things ^_^ Definately up for more of it and sorry I had to disappear, my daughter is awful at night when she wakes up ^_^
  13. Another RPG that I spotted in the past week, I don't think we have a thread for this but watching it, it looks very Game of thrones esque. Don't suppose anyone knows much about it?
  14. I loved the first game though I never completed it. It's exactly my sort of game, couple this with the likes of the witcher and I am in my element. I know there was a lot of uproar around the views of the person who created the first game but you can't take anything away from the original game. The trailers for this look more of the same but much better quality, so more polished shall we say. I will have to get back and complete the first one before it's out!
