I listed the mods we are using, and there are really amazing youtube guides out there.
 
Also, tomorrow I will most likely build the portals to the other worlds at the spawn. That way you guys can get a feel for them as well. 

I started on the very very early versions of Minecraft on pc. Moved over to Xbox then ps4 with Alex. Looking at the pc version now, it's bat shit crazy how much stuff there is.  It's daunting at the moment, but love the community feel already.

This all seems interesting, bloody incomprehensible and an enormous time sink!!

Think of it this way. Minecraft is a community/ neighborhood. If you are looking to buy a home, and the neighborhood looks like crap, then you won't want to live/play there. If it looks nice, then you want to, and whats more, is if its really nice, then you might want to spend money on it.
 
 

So we didn't have any backups yet, we hadn't hit the time frame where I felt it was needed yet. They are active now however.
 
The particular issue we are having isn't fixed yet, but I know not to attempt to sort out the permission again. Once our current ticket is closed I will open a new one based off of this error. (TL;DR I learned from my mistake)
 
I don't mind putting in the work to make a nice place, as you all have probably noticed I feel passionate about these things, and will try to make everything look nice, clean, and inviting for others.

I will build a cathedral on par with this.
 

So, some folks build a column of dirt way up above tree's, and then build a single block wide road of dirt stretching across the sky. Its hard for mobs to spawn up there, so I get why they do it, but it really makes things look like shit. Thats what I was referencing in the rules.
 
Most roads that I build are 5-7 blocks wide. 5 would be out and about in the world. 7 if its a main highway, or if its in town.

This is something that I will handle on my own. You guys don't have to help at all.
 
My plan is to do a N <-> S artery, and an E <-> W artery directly out from the spawn to the World Border. If people want to build branches off of it, or have me do them, thats fine. I will just do the main ones as its a ton of work, I will do it in creative mode, and if it follows a pattern then it tends to look better.

Get him back on the forum and tell him providing he eats Jam sandwiches that have 'My name is Dylan' printed on them whilst he plays.

Martin and I found some randoms and had some awesome games as a 6 stack. However, placement yet again comes in to shaft somebody. Mart ended up around 1000 below where I am. It's utterly retarded that it does this.

So, as a group lets work on this.
 
Trying to not be as strict as most servers, and not as freeformed as others
 
Clearly mark your build area!
  Respect other peoples build area's. Don't just wander into someones house. Ask first before you build within sight of someone.
  Don't destroy the terrain just because you can. (Example: Dylan liked to set trees on fire to mark the way to his house....) Replant Tree's - unless its in your build area. If you can't replant the massive trees that are everywhere because you dont have the saplings, don't chop them down. You will get the recipe eventually. (NOTE The saplings you get from logging are not the ones you need to regrow the larger massive trees.) No Single block towers No single block wide bridges/ roads in the sky Be careful with the pranking and trolling. It sucks to be working on something niceonly to have your neighbor building a massive Pikachu in the sky. Don't kill Villagers! People can trade with them Don't build Villager Farms. They crash servers Don't build mob spawners. Unless handled right, they crash servers. I will work on one at the spawn once everything else gets sorted. Don't build massive animal farms..... See above If you loot from villagers, take the chest as well, so others don't think stuff is there

Where I spawned is marked Spawn. Its in the middle of a massive forest.
 
I moved the spawn to a better spot for you all to get to a mix of biomes, also near a massive tree. It is marked New Spawn. I am going to build the spawn base around the tree, so please don't chop it down. 
 
 
 
 
I have the coordinates and can show people how to teleport to the old spawn. The grey mass on the map to the west of that spawn is a mass of mountains that go passed the build height limit. I can't even imagine building in them, you will be mining non-stop
 
The white lumpy island  south of the Mountains is a Witchwood Forest. Witchwood is used in a lot of end game recipes, so be careful chopping them down.
 
South of the new Spawn is a some flat lands, and a nice wasteland as well as the green water to SW corner is another wasteland.
 
North is an Ominous Forest. What this means is that the sky is always dark, and that the water is poisonous. If no one builds there then at some point I might add something there.
 
Lastly, in the far SW is a village that is jacked up. If a brave soul wants to go down and help rebuild the roads and things, the villagers will pay you in emeralds.
 
With my having flown around and generated the chunks, you guys should be able to get to stuff fairly easily without issue. I am going to work on laying out town. If you see a spot you want to be in, let me know and I can try to teleport folks there tomorrow, or tell you how you can do it yourself.
 

Update - I'm just trying to find an american polo shirt provider that's relatively decent but cheap. I also just want to try and just double check the UK size is what you'd expect. I'll nip to one of the local people to try on one of the samples.

Just thought I'd put some of the fighting game Terminology below for people to understand some of the mechanics if they are not familiar awith it it:
 
Crossup - A jumping attack that land on the other side from which you jumped. Extremely difficult to defend as you will generally be blocking in the direction of the jump
 
Cancel - Inputting another command/attack whilst the animation of the previous attack is in progress. This cancels the full animation of the attack whilst still giving the full damage and enabling a link to another attack
 
Meter - A total of 4 bars that can be accrued over the course of the fight to give different affects 
 
Meter Burn - Using a bar of the special meter to give an extra affect to the special moves.
 
Trait - A special ability unique to each character which will affect how they perform for a short period of time or give a unique ability
 
1/2/3 Buttons - To make remembering combos easier the buttons are often referred to as 1 - Light, 2 - Medium and 3 - Heavy. This aids in cross platform confusion
 
50/50 - An attack string that can result in an overhead or a low attack. Therefore giving the defender a 50/50 chance of getting the block string correct
 
Safe - A string of moves that, if blocked, cannot result in you being hit in completion
 
Punishable/Unsafe - A string of moves that, if blocked, can result in the opponent punishing with a free attack if timed correctly
 
Armour - The ability to absorb an attack without the resulting knockback/knockdown but will still take the damage
 
Anti Air - The ability to deal with an enemy jumping in
 
Projectiles - Any attack that fires a projectile which travels across the screen independent of the activating character
 
Footsies - Keeping the range between the characters at a safe distance with the hope of getting a small hit in.
 
Chip - The amount of damage taken when blocking attacks from an opponent
 
Combo/String - A series of attacks that link together without any interruption
 
Throw tech/escape - Pressing the throw button just after the opponent has initiated a throw will result in a throw escape
 
Hit confirm - Performing a safe attack, recognising that this has hit and then going on to perform the Unsafe portion of the combo
 
Juggle - Performing a combo whilst the target is airborne from a previous attack/combo. Therefore juggling them in the air where they are defenseless 

There's a pretty number of characters to play. After the tutorial get receive enough eternity splinters to unlock one character. You can change to any character at S.H.E.I.D. HQ and play as them, but you can't change out characters when you're out and about unless you've unlocked them. There aren't really any support characters in the traditional sense. I've only played as Captain Marvel so far, and she has a self-heal you can use after a short timer. I assume other characters have it as well. There are also items to can equip that will also heal others a bit as well, but I'm unclear if it is only for party member or anyone friendly within range. 
 
There's a pretty good number of characters to play, some of which surprised us a bit, i.e. Angela (Chad was more surprised/impressed with this than I b/c I had no idea who she was. She was originally in Spawn if you are like me and unfamiliar with her) and Blade. It's a nice mix between characters seen on TV and in movies as well as those most people might not be as familiar with if they don't read comics.

I'm not really one for microtransactions, but if I enjoy playing them enough I can see myself buying skins for Squirrel Girl's current costume, for Old Man Logan, and possibly Angela.

I had a go of this round my brother-in-law's and it is fun - it brings back the enjoyment of early burnout.  Trying to work out how to hit the perfect lines to start crashes off but to be able to get around and cause more and hit the bonuses!  I will be buying it next time I get on the PS4.
