My problem with subscriptions is that game devs can now get lazy as there's no competition. In ye olde' days you'd have to spend you had limited cash to spend on games so you had to choose, which made game devs fight for your money with all manner of fluff and extra features. 

Nowadays there's no incentive for them as it all goes in to the subscription service anyway. If they don't like your game they simply delete it and download another one, and they know this.

I remember playing the original back in the day at a mates. 
 
Taking turns on an old pc, windows 95 on an old dell I think. 
The game was monstersly difficult, hard as nails. 
So rewarding to progress even a little. Some of the missions were long, but the graphics and immersion were glorious. 
 
Makes for a change from all the Sim city, Roller-coaster Tycoon and Batman cartoon maker I was playing at the time. 

Just Delta Force after shortening the name of the game. Still don't know what to make of this game 🤪
 
 
 

Theres always been WhatsApp groups, Brede. I can't stop them. If you look back a few years ago, I tried to embrace everything for the sake of all. Discord, WhatsApp, FB and anything else you can think of.
 
We're likely nearing that cycle again of basically me tearing it all up and bringing it all back...but part of me after the last two times would just love it if people wouldn't be so lazy in life. I feel the pressure myself and I can't lie. If I'm not doing events, sending messages, thinking of ideas to get people to play games, no fucker does. Well, some do, but when they realise they get not much joy after a few times, they give up. I don't blame them - I suppose I'm the only one who's decided to do that for 10 years here.
 
I'm now nearly 40, so life does change and evolve. But I wanted FG to be FG for all, not FG that is a check in cos Lee asked them to. There is always ways to rejuvenate the place. But people have to WANT to do that. And before anyone asks, god I've tried multiple ways to get people involved, drafting ideas of different roles, changing forums around to accommodate stuff, etc. Nothing has stuck so far, otherwise it wouldn't just be me.
 
We all have the gift of sorting this out. And I'll still be me trying to find ways of doing that, but I also know that the ones that don't want to, won't want to until they fully have an epiphany and maybe if I say FG closes for good? Who knows. I just don't think a bold statement like that should ever be needed when I know there's 100 odd regular FGers that could be active and they don't. How many times do I have to say that if we were all active and took a tiny interest each day, then it would actually be the best place on the internet cos so many would be chipping in n loads of different stuff.
 
 
I suppose this thread was eventually going to tip me. I'm super conscious I haven't updated my PPR in months and I'm usually the one that says practice what you preach. I think I'm gonna give myself grace just this once for the past 10 years.

Funny enough I got round to playing it and for 10 quid to upgrade to the ps5 version is well worth it.

I will never admit it! NEVER!

Still need to pre order this so will most likely bash it out for a few weeks till I get bored with it.

Palworld is fucking great. Already have it on pc but will be picking it up on ps as well just cause it’s a ton of laughs. I mean, who doesn’t love a bit of pokemon on crack? 😂

I really liked the look of this one, love an action horror/supernatural game and this definitely looked like something I could get into.
 
I havent played the first one yet, but this looked really good too. Defimitely have to play the first one since it's free at the moment 🙂

So I have just watched the state of play from last night, there are a few games that have jumped out for me as something I'd like to try (bare in mind some of these aren''t PS5 exclusive) -
 
1. Hell is us - This is a 3rd party action game, looks quite dark & gritty akin to Hellblade maybe. Could be interesting -
 
2.Archeage Chronicles - Biggish game that again could be interesting, looks quite pretty and may even have mp elements as you seem to be fighting alongside others -
 
 
3. Palworld has come out on the PS5, I do have this on game pass and have meant to play it through, imagine it could be more fun with people though I imagine it's not a game FG would be particularly interested in?
 
4. Lunar collection hsa been remastered which if you are a JRPG fan like me may interest you. Admittedly I was caught up with Final Fantasy in my younger years so I will have to give it a go at some point.
 
5. Fantasian Neo Dimension - I haven't gotten round to trying Fantasian as it was locked to apple arcade but I always thought it was worth checking out so this could be on my radar, again another JRPG -
 
 
6. Dragon Age Veil Guard - I have been a big fan of this series even platinuming the last game. I love the world and lore so I will be all over this on launch (first time I have booked a day off for a game release in a very long time!)
 
 
 
7. Ghost of Yotei - Ghost of Tsushima sequal, this doesn't look too dissimilar to the original game to be honest visually so it will be interesting to see if there are any new mechanics in there -

So as lovely as it looks I will probably give it a miss sadly, though it will jump up in value I also feel like this is going to be a forgotten console generation anyway. I am going to keep my funds at the moment for the next Nintendo Switch which can't be too far away I hope!

At last! Sony finally have a game to show off the PS5 Pro with instead of recycling 4 year old titles.

So there is Whatsapp groups? This almost killed this forum a few years back, and I thought people agreed to use the forum and not chat groups. 
I thought this might be the issue again, with the low activity in the past months/year..

Not sure if I'm blind or if the search isn't working well but I've noticed a few threads missing including Age of Mythology Retold one, an Assassin Creed Shadows one which I was going to necro today plus this has bugged me in the past where I swear threads have been created for games and remember posting them but I can't for the life of me find them again.
