Happy birthday to our resident grumpmeister @crispymorgan (yesterday!) and our real life Destiny inventory manager @Bluebear!! Hope you have a fab birthday week both!

It seemed a mixed bag from those people because of how they felt about the Division 1. That's my summary of the ones I've seen. If they didn't like bullet spongy type bosses then they won't like them going forward. I don't know what they are expecting though.

I played some games with last night with @Jason and @TigerBurge. I think I was the weak link as we had loads of games because we kept dying reasonably early, without me I'm sure they lasted far longer! 😂 However, it just seems so addictive. The smoothness of entering games, how you pick your legend, the flying down as a team and the initial hunt for loot - it all adds up to repetitive fun. We'll see if they add different modes but I'm really comfortable if it stays as a 3-man team game for a while. Would be nice to play as a slightly larger squad though which is my only slight so far. I mentioned before but pinging is seriously the best addition to this game mode. They should all have it.

I played 30 minutes last night which was enough for me to confirm: 1) Its just like Division 1 with some tiny tweaks 2) I'll be buying it I might be holding out for some subtle variety in endgame however 8 player raids is enough for me to buy after that. Also, let's not have this debate that it's too similar to Division 1. Its obvious that's what a sequel needs to be like so if you didn't like the first (after update 1.8, not at launch), then best not to buy it and moan at others. It's boring before we even have the debate.

I'm on it but don't really use it. I have to get more engaged with it tbh however I always worry that is seen by your current employer as you're looking to move away. Having said that, it definitely helps get your networking up in and around the industry you want to work in.

Really enjoyed trying this out over the last few nights. It's so good damn smooth when you shoot, run, go on zip wires. The ping system is nye on perfect and I really enjoy how you all can fly down together. Apart from that means @Diddums sends multiple pings points to make it look like you're having a epileptic attack.

We're missing a really good new Splinter Cell. Went back to Division 1. Would be good to get platinum on that. Also want to do a few raids on Destiny. That itch never goes away though.

I didn't like him initially but found I was watching him more often. I think he is sometimes too critical of games at times but being a YouTuber trying to get hits I suppose you have to be more vocalised in one camp more than balanced. I watched this some time ago and I think he's pretty right on Anthem. Microtransactions I think hes spot on. What I found is that maybe a 50 hour'ish game is good for a lot of people here. Sometimes our minds trick us to say that we won't like this game if I can't play it solely and for the next 4 years. It will compliment other games out this year I still reckon.

No hype due to no marketing means this has received way more hype than expected from an EA title. Great idea though to utilise their best FPS game they've made as the framework.

Tbf, we've had a few over the years. (Crash team racing, Street Racer I think?) It would be amazing to have something to rival Mario Kart on a console other than Nintendo's own.

When you're winning it don't half help enjoy the game even more. Nice stats on that evening mate, glad you're enjoying it. I know theres quite a few still play it atm. I'm keen still but will try Apex Legends before I come back to it.

Well, we had MK double dash which was sort of a team type game and game modes that supported team play but we'll have to see how this works in more detail. I want it to be good because a Mario Ksrt style game on the PS4 would be incredible. I'm worried it won't live up to expectations. Maybe it's a tidy buy at 20/25 quid and if a few of us try it and see the potential fun in it then I'm up for it. Do we know what max players it can support in a private race yet?

Just catching up on old threads and forgot to say the day we managed this in a party of 6 was really fun. It felt partly like Mass Effect 3 MP abit with the objectives and waves. Never really a fan of the endless one but that's just my personal opinion when it comes to modes without an end goal or objective. Could play this more often if I could understand more of the game e.g. how many different types of missions, players to upgrade, etc.

Best thing ever!! I can switch off pedestrians, make him invincible too! When games are difficult to find for a lad who can't mentally cope with losing, this just breaks it down to be a simple type of Burnout game mode where he can just pick any car, drive around wherever and make the biggest crashes where he wants! Shame it's not in online mode, you could really have some fun with this type of mode. Thanks again!

They'll be 8 player raids in Division 2. Granted don't know how many but that's why this initially gripped me.

As much as I disappointingly didn't get to try it and wanted this game to be a mainstay for FG like Destiny, I just can't see myself now buying it at launch. I have an urge to, but if many here are sitting tight and waiting then I'm happy to stick with Destiny and look forward to Division 2 instead. I'm sure it'll save me a tenner if I wait a few months.

Morning FG! January's been one of those months for me but also a lot of people here. I apologise in advance for not being around enough to positively kick you all up the arse to have fun and be merry. I'm hoping a new month ahead and the seeing the games coming out over recent months will give us some fresh playtime fun to get some groups together. I learnt alot about last year, we had a lot of grouping together, did far more activities and game nights across multiple games...actually more than the days we started playing Destiny 1 without it feeling like it! That doesn't mean it didn't take a ton of effort though to sort. Physically and mentally. We hit over 100k posts at FG and I also learned at the end of year our average age of FG is 33. Probably not surprising to regulars but it also shows why we're active at some parts of the year and not in others. The post count states though show we have something we should keep going for the sake of everyone's home from home. We got a bit of feedback from some of you - thank you massively for doing that survey I created. Overall rating out of 10 was 8.29. That surprised me. Can't deny theres a few low scores in that average and that backs up my sentiment that I always think we can make FG far better than it is so it's a place to look forward to stopping by. Things that people have asked want more of: • More threads on various topics • More FG videos • The attitude we all have to one another to help • More events • More PC Gaming • Quizzes Things that people have asked to look into as they need more work, in no particular order: • Calendar and also how to make events more accessible • Grouping up online • More diversity across gamers and countries • More interaction on posts • Consolidate dead spaces on forum • Integration with all parts of FG • More social presence • Images • Streaming • The battle between WhatsApp and use of any FG elements • More people • More regular people • Grab back existing groups of members I'm going to start looking at getting an FG Roadmap installed so you can all see what we're hoping to do in the future and how close we are getting it. We'll also have a suggestion tracker so you can continue to add ideas but in an easier way. Ultimately, we just need to group together and #makeFGgreatagain. I haven't got shirts or some fluffy thing to get you back over to FG like a few years ago. I'd hope that's not needed to make you enjoy this place and that's not why I did that sentiment (although a merch shop wouldn't go a miss). Yes, it's annoying how people take this and run away with it. Also, yes its annoying he didn't realise it would blow up like this. Shit happens. I won't change my opinion on what I think of him because of this. I love Twitter but hate it for partly contributing to this type of news. I think it's best put - Before there is a problem, we already know there is a problem. Ah, the glorious world we live in today. Be good to each other, don't be a total cunt and be happy. I'm pushing to sort my PC setup out this year as it's not what I intended to have (thought she'd buckle, there we go, you learn everyday). I can play PC, I'm just being realistic to my time invested currently on PC games atm based on my past year of gaming.
