  1. November's Monthly Free PS Plus Games: Nioh - Metacritic score 88, User Score 8.5 Outlast 2 - Metacritic score 68, User Score 7.0
  2. For me, the challenges concept is great just delivered barebones. I'd love to see them flesh it out with things like: UI mid-game letting you know once you complete a mission objective Filter to show completed challenges allowing you to see whats left to do The ability to choose maybe 3 max missions at one time. 1 feels a little harsh Separate ways to see rewards and what they actually mean. I want more incentive to tell me theres a reason why you should select this mission Blueprints sound great too but they're not in your face and couldn't see where to activate them. Sometimes just a bright flashing option over what's new would be a delight to see so it stands out there's something there.
  3. Its that time again everybody. The time where we do our best to raise as much as we can so we can give out some awesome goodies to the people of FG. I actually think we won't raise as much this year, as I know everyone has been far too kind and generous with other things we've done so there won't be any pressure to give, like always. Obviously, it may be a smaller pool of items we can do but as I've kept up with most people's lives this year I don't think that's a bad thing sometimes. I'd like to do something slightly different this year which is we will gift out games such as CoD MW, Destiny 2 Shadowkeep, Sea of Thieves and many other things to people we can see that would benefit. Alongside that if we actually get enough, we'll do a few vouchers too that will be raffled out so you can buy whatever you like if you get lucky. I'm going to put this out there for a few weeks and hopefully by the first week in December we can start working out what things we're able to give you lovely people. Suggestions If you have any suggestions for us to go and buy and raffle out, please shout below! Donations You can use the donate button on the homepage which is the easiest way via PayPal. If you are donating a larger amount then I suggest you open up PayPal directly as via the donate button PayPal take 5%. The email address is forevergaming.co.uk@gmail.com. Doing things like this is why this place is clearly the best (no bias there whatsoever). You guys and girls do phenomenal things for everyone and its amazing we can all help each other like the one big family that we are. If you want inspiration, you only to look at what we did in the first few years of starting this. GGFG
  4. I'll have to try some care packages out. I've stolen one a few days ago and they aren't widely used yet. Glad to hear they're dropping all kinds of packages as you do wonder if they're just UAV/CUAV like the one i picked up.
  5. I agree mate - The only thing I can think of is that because it works so damn well in PvE as well as PvP, that the % of players using it was just too high and stopping people changing and trying out other weapons. There's actually some decent alternative SMGs out there too. Even the Vex Offensive one is smart to use. Just people don't venture past something they've found that works for them.
  6. Great, that should be it 😄 I'm sure a few will add you up once they're on over the weekend (i'm away but i'll do it when I get back online). Nice to see you settling in already 😎
  7. I think the Recluse one won't be too bad. It still needs to stay pretty useful because its a Pinnacle weapon drop. I will still use it for void and SMG kills along the way. I wasn't using it that much in PvP either so I don't think its the worst decision to keep others happy. OEM - Again, from a Titan that very rarely used it, this seems a pragmatic change but others may think its not enough. I don't see it much and in Comp we've still had games where we've beaten these type of players. I think a lot wear it who need that support, not the very good players that i've played against. Thing is, its an Exotic. So it has to keep some form of exclusivity to the Armour piece otherwise its useless.
  8. Grabbed this from TWAB yesterday: From the Development team: The Recluse Changed the effects of Master of Arms: Removed the precision damage modifier Recluse will continue to receive a damage bonus from Master of Arms, but damage will not default to precision values when the perk activates Many doubted The Recluse when it was first announced, but it has since proved to be resilient to being squashed. Although the precision damage modifier did not actually improve the efficacy of the weapon at its best, it did allow for fairly mindless spraying to be just as good as concentrated aiming. After considering various options on what to do with it, the decision was made to remove that part of the functionality and preserve its activation methods. The alternative was leaving in an effect we believe to be too strong for a Legendary weapon. One-Eyed Mask Changed the effects of Vengeance Removed the overshield granted from defeating an opponent that inflicted damage on you In a previous sandbox update, One-Eyed Mask received some tuning in how Vengeance was applied to Titans. Next Season, this perk will continue to provide health regeneration when defeating an opponent that has inflicted damage upon your Guardian, but it will no longer grant an overshield. So yeah, they're finally getting some form of nerf after months of moaning from the community that it upset the balance of PvP and also PvE to some extent with Recluse. What's everyone's views?
  9. Herioc Menagerie can give you the Iznagi's Burden Catalyst on first completion if my memory serves me right? Also, you get a guaranteed new Sword drop with first completion. There's 3 swords available to drop from it. Other than that its more then for the Triumphs I believe. Matchmaking is OFF for Heroic. We'd sort out a run when we get on I imagine, it is a whole lotta fun tbh as you all can't wipe but can revive constantly, unlike raids. I think so, isn't in 9 branches? @Teenwolf25 or @Kemp210 would know as they were trying to get it done.
  10. End of March 2020 for UK. Pfft. Gutted as I really wanna watch this series.
  11. No worries, at least you know if you ever do change, the master of ceremonies here @Diddums would welcome you with open arms to the game that him who he is today (whether thats a good or bad thing, i don't know 😬). Your Activision ID has a hastag and number after it, otherwise it won't work apparently. Abit like Discord.
  12. I'd love to but just need to understand funds and time at the moment. I'm really loving the updates in your PPR and when i played it briefly with the rest of the gang on PC it was quite intense and hours flew by. Seb's on about PS4 Tommy but i'd like to see what we're all thinking moving forward on this. Would you consider both platforms Phil or is the PC too superior to this version?
  13. I haven't noticed it much really at all. I think it can hurt others and once or twice its definitely happened where I can't do anything in a match whatsover however overall parties have been good so far with us all here. Lots of wins and lots of good plays clipped.
  14. I don't get the community side of things in WoW so I don't the perks, etc from what comes from a Guild. I'd always say it would be cool that we had our own but if it takes others too much time then equally get why we'd join another one. As we're all a bunch of filthy casuals compared to resident WoW players, I don't know how that's viewed anyway in the WoW community. How do I get my character name off you btw?
  15. Welcome to FG @Fusious 😄 There's a few PC players here, @Shocketh and @Dr Diamond to name a few. Let us know what your Activision ID so we can hopefully add you and play some crossplay matches. Which WoW do you play? We've started again this week in a new server on Classic so make sure you look into that if you get chance. Hope you enjoy your stay here.
  16. Yes, here we are again. Another CoD and another year of what the hell the next developer screwed up - or did they this year? Call of Duty Modern Warfare has certainly divided opinion after a strong and solid Beta that was released, coupled with early news that there will be no loot boxes to the sounds of joyous high fives in the community. The game has managed to retain a lot of positives from the beta into the launch unlike other CoDs and has been highly praised on the fact they've kept many underlying mechanics and gameplay to the level that everyone wants. So why the hell are people still hating on this game? Well, we all love opinions don't we? And when it comes to the Call of Duty franchise its unlike any other game that i see out there over the past 5, 6, 7 years that takes this level of criticism. You see, most criticism that is strong usually comes with emotion. And emotion for this game is strong. Possibly the highest I ever see on a game, because it is the basics of boys and their toys imagination of being Action Man: The Greatest Hero of Them All (don't lie, you sang that line in your head, didn't you). So my view of the world as I see it right now for this CoD is that people jump to the negatives straight away, forgetting the positives. I understand that to a degree - this one still has some glaringly obvious ones. Maps - The most open maps a CoD has ever had. Yet still manages to have a 762 snugs for camper based play to pick you off 4 seconds after you spawn Skillbased Matchmaking - Not a massive negative for me, but i've had the odd game whereby you get a Road Rash punch in the face at 150mph, and the same happens every 2 seconds until the round is up Challenges - Can be cumbersome in how they are implemented and only one at a time is frustrating at times Menus/UI - Overall, that is a shambles, like most CoDs because they do not care about it Most importantly though, I find its the behaviours we're all used to that come out because we want CoD to do well so we can get that nostalgic feeling back when we played early CoDs and ransacked every team in town. Let me be clear - This game has the ability to give you that feeling. Open your mind to it. For all the weaknesses, the pros are clear as day and when they get things right, regardless if it is part of Activision, the developers deserve some credit for listening to the community. What am i talking about? Well: Gunplay - These has to be one of the best CoD games ever for overall gunplay. Guns feel solid. Nearly every gun does (apart from Pistols at the time of writing this but thats not fundamentally a bad thing). Gunsmith - The amount of customisation thats available at your disposal is huge. It gives the game a sense of depth to each and every gun. When the game is all about the guns, you want variety at your disposal and you have stacks of it here Changing Loadouts IN GAME - Why o why we have never had this is insanity. It looks like the smallest of Quality of Life changes but it makes a huge difference to the game. Loadouts can be really overwhelming to most people and usually once you've made it you'll stick with it but now theres more incentive to change an attachment mid-game and try more varied loadouts No Prestige - I see this as a massive plus which to some may be surprising. To Prestige in CoD literally helps nothing other than seeing how huge you wanted your forehead to be. I was with many others that used to level up to 55 and never Prestige as i wanted access to all the guns. This way you have that but can still unlock further items and attachments the more you go into the game. Having Season ranks after that level is a way they can keep a certain amount of grind to the game with access to vary the offering to the player base with specific seasonal content in the future. Its a great model to have to help players return more often Choice - In my opinion there's more than enough choice in gamemodes AND maps. Whilst maps require some fine tuning, they aren't all as bad as people say they are. Apart from Piccadilly. Piccadilly can die by being sucked up in large Black Hole with loot boxes. Some have some great verticality and decent sized lanes that have a twisted on how interlocking doors connect each lane. Just because its never been done before doesn't mean its a bad thing. Gameplay - Over the past week i've noticed it doesn't matter what style of game you play any longer. It all depends on what you mode you play in. You can run around all you like in Hardcore and dominate the scoreboard like a madman, or, take it safe and steady in Core. Score and Killstreaks - Not too hard and not too easy to obtain. Not many seem OP and the ones that do, usually can be shot out of the sky reasonably quickly. UAV spamming doesn't seem an issue any longer like it was in the beta. The Personal Radar is a great alternative and also gives away your position so with great reward comes with great risk. Veteran CoD players really need to give this time and try all gamemodes. Clearly, in a party it will ALWAYS be better because people will react to how you're feeling and make you feel brighter. Even if you're team is getting spanked. Our mindsets have to change from this CoD forward. We can't just keep labelling it same old CoD anymore and also running around trying to find the first piece of info to royally fuck it over. Give yourself a fresh outlook on a game that has usual dusty name.
  17. My company match my contribution and then it gets a yield figure - because of this matching I would struggle to do what you've done but its definitely a different spin on things. I'd like to still know in your opinion if there was a that that it would be beneficial to it a different way. Also, don't forget to delve deeper into rule 1 for me. I'm really interested in that one A LOT.
  18. I totally had that feeling too. I think they see what Destiny have and want a piece of that pie. A live service is what a lot of gamers are really enjoying right now, however the hard part is alot of these gamers also want regularly new drops of content to drop. That is really hard to keep pushing out and theyll need microtransactions to help them.with ongoing development. Idc about them if they are cosmetic only. It's even better if you can also earn them all in game through just playing. It doesn't put me off the game. In fact, I'd be more open to it as you can see a game like Borderlands 3 just doesn't have legs in it because it catered for offline mode.
  19. What Would You Do (WWYD) FG? Menus and UI in CoD has literally been non-existent in forever and they've pulled the cardboard out of the cupboard this time round and exceeded to hit that mark once again. I'd love to know what would you change to make it better? I think the game kinda deserves it tbh. The challenge system for me is just so bare that it needs an overhaul although you can see the potential with it. I didnt even realise that a mission once completed just sits there and theres no filter I can see to move it out. If they sorted challenges, then I think they'd be hitting a huge market that love completing objectives. Other than that, it's not clear how the Quickplay filters work, nor it is clear about Hardcore. I played my first HC games last night because it was one of the lads that found you need to press Square on the filtered options. One thing that is great is the attachment system and how you can view and edit pretty easily. They need to keep that part for sure. Anything else everyone?
  20. Came here to post this....not much difference really 😳 Thank God it was sorted. Just shows how much they well and truly fucked up the first one 🙈
  21. I'll join when you've sorted out what the score is. Happy to role whatever Class too.
  22. I think it's all down to how you find that extra cash from a job or different avenue. I've been working that for a while and its finding the one thing that doesn't upset work/life balance more than anything. Going self employed as a contractor would see me nearly triple my salary eventually but I can't do it at the moment because life needs some stability. Not everyone is as creative as yourself, that's not a bad thing, but it does inhibit how quickly you can find that extra avenue of cash. It would be good to explore number 1 rule deeper, specifically how you worked out extra avenues, as after working for a Building Society for 15 years I'm pretty savvy on saving and spending control. Nice thread though mate. I like the thought process. 3 is always the number.
  23. I mean, I don't think it's as bad as that from what I've seen. I think it's just.....different. It's like being tactical ahead of a round of Rainbow Six Siege where you have to be the last to survive the round, get to the other side using gadgets and not engage in any fighting. Simplest yeah? I'm not disagreeing. But I am disagreeing. That's how this game makes sense. By making no sense.
  24. I was but not so much health as I was playing football on Sundays and footy training once a week. Wellness on the other hand was about how I would handle the change in lifestyle and more importantly how my wife would potentially change/feel. Thing is, everyone is different and so is your relationships. I'm more of a person that just wanted Hayley to be healthy and able to cope when I was not around. And when I was around I wanted to do everything to make her job easier. It's why I always woke up and sorted both kids out even still now. Even when she breast fed I would want to pass them to her. That also helps if she has a c-section (we had both like that). Priorities man. Priorities! Without you knowing they just become the most important things next to your wife. So stuff just happens and you don't think twice to give up stuff for them. That didnt mean for me giving up football straight away but when they were old enough to be interactive then you realise how much time you lose out with them when working full time. I didnt initially but I've now fully realised over recent years that a work/life balance is so important. I think you can also miss your own time at some points so that's where your situation, support and your relationship strength truly shows. If you or your wife need some chill time e.g. gaming, then you still need that stuff. Funnily, I can never explain how but it all seems to work out. I imagine everyone just gets used to a new 'normal' life, whatever it is for them.
  25. I'll agree that it's kinda near the end of the line for OW1 because they've been lucky to keep the player base when they dont really update the game pretty much at all. Having said that, OW 1 was primarily a PvP game with PvE simple add ons that were never really updated across 3 years. People clearly want more PvE and I guess its make sense to bring over PvP in one whole game. It's too early to know if the added and new content is worth 50 quid but they also realise the value of this game usually drops pretty quickly to 25-30 within a few months which shouldnt be too far off the mark. Let's hope that in game rewards are all obtainable via completing PvE activities as well as PvP. Be also interesting to see if loot boxes are kept in the game moving forward.
