  1. Cheers @Shucker! Have we still got 3 Nightfalls then? I seen Bungie tweeted out the 'Ordeal' one is on but wasnt sure as i haven't done one yet.
  2. Nice Keegan! Glad you made it over here buddy, take a look around and get involved where you want. You always played Destiny type games or have you been into other styles of games? Enjoy your stay at FG buddy 👍😎
  3. Well, finished the campaign last night. Had a few goes on Vex new stuff too. So here goes. Hot take. Destiny positive guy thinks its worthwhile. Well yeah, duh. But it shouldn't be a surprise if you a regular player of Destiny that enjoys the games ways of giving different activities and rewards in the way it does. It will always be worthwhile to these people as you will get you moneys worth in terms of time. I think if you strip away the bias views from Destiny lovers I actually think Bungie has been extremely clever with making this content in the way they have at one of the most defining moments Bungie will ever have with Destiny. If you have committed to move away and be independent from any publisher, make a stand and change the entire base game plus most of 2 years worth of content free to play, enable cross save across multiple platforms, with a few new ones in there as well, you can start to ask how the hell could they make a brand new expansion that is a little bigger than Rise of Iron? So clearly the right thing to do was to 're-imagine' content from D1 in the main. Yeah, other people will straight away go for re-used, recycled, same old content, etc. I can understand parts of it but it really has 'evolved' into something new. It doesn't feel old however you get the best of both worlds because from time to time you recognise an old Helium Filament run and get that nostalgic boost which many of us do ask for. The campaign is relatively short, same as most campaigns. In the main i'd say it was slightly shorter than I hoped, being a lover of the story and unanswered questions. However, it was quality over quantity. The updates they've made to it really stand out. Notice how you had other NPC Guardians shooting the Hive down next to you as you battled through? It actually felt like you were finally part of a wave of Guardians, not just Billy no mates here to save the day again. Enemies have been created at the optimum damage level to the relevant Power level you expected to be around. The Hive hit slightly harder than usual and the Nightmare versions did make me jump back from time to time. Spoiler paragraph ahead - In terms of Quality though, for anyone who loves the mystery of Destiny or even kinda half gets it, knew how impressive it was to turn the corner after hearing hysterical screams from Nightmares, to a huge glowing Earth in the sky....to then be presented with the first ever Pyramid ship we've seen in-game was breathtaking. It sounds like most Destiny regular players have found this to be the best surprise of all. And that was pretty much topped by going into it by the end. I won't talk more about it, you really have to do the campaign to experience it. The dialogue and ideas behind the Nightmare's work well, although its a shame with Destiny's story its very difficult to connect back to open endgame content. I think the only way would be to hold back multiple additional missions along the way, but then they'd be told off for holding back content. It would be cool to have extra dialogue through the next 3 months - maybe the dungeon will provide this. Replayability of the Moon and Nightmare Cryptoglyph to farm weapons i'm undecided on. Thats because I haven't played it enough yet. I actually went instead to do the Vex Invasions and then the Vex Offensive first. Now that was a lot of fun. Not groundbreakingly hard but another variation and change up that made Menagerie a winner. However, this is why I said earlier that Bungie had been clever. This content is actually part of season 8. But you get that included in Shadowkeep if you buy it. I'll come back and talk more about the content in a few weeks I reckon. The great thing now is that we kinda know what to expect in how these seasons go. I've paid my money for the whole year, and now I get to sitback and watch it all the content drop. TLDR, Even if specific Shadowkeep elements are potentially lighter than usual, the huge amount of changes that have come at the same time mean its possibly the best ever time to hop back in. A game you'll continue play alongside everything else. Its the Constant One.
  4. Game has been delayed for a few months until March 2020. Good idea if it's missing those extra bits even after this launch date.
  5. What's the compatibility looking like? Controllers, headsets, PS4 games, etc? I'll need to check the link later.
  6. 7.0 Available to download now.
  7. This isn't like the Ubisoft of recent years. I'm really not sure why they'd do this unless it's purely for experimental purposes only.
  8. I know it won't suit everyone but for the ease of being able just to have 1 or 2 extra voices in a chat it will be so much better than most in-game chat options. We have so many moments where we miss because we cant record in game chat that this should really be beneficial to us all. Also, under the radar a little bit is the remote play for mobile. I've already had a friend at work say that he'll be remote playing at home and at work on his mobile so he'll actually play more playstation than now. You may find those bluetooth gamepads are a high seller at £20.
  9. Man, I wish there was a Photo mode for Destiny. This moment was possibly the best reveal I've experienced so far.
  10. Bloody App links! 🙈😭 Go to the quiz via browser.
  11. So later this week we'll be able to hear AND record 16 of your lovely voices!
  12. From Playstation Blog Our latest software update for PlayStation 4, version 7.00, is launching this week worldwide. This update includes new functionality to key system features including Party and Remote Play features. We revealed a number of features included in the newly enhanced Party prior to its beta earlier this summer, and here are all of the details that PS4 players can look forward to experiencing. Party Feature Update For PS4 fans who love to play alongside their friends or other community members, the Party feature has been rebuilt to include new features and services including: Maximum number of Party users increased from 8 to 16 Network connectivity improved Audio quality improved Accessibility support with Chat Transcription has been added (US Only) Within the Party feature, you will experience better network connectivity and audio quality. The improved back-end now improves network connectivity and allows users to overcome connectivity issues previously experienced when connecting with other users. Lastly, the Party App will also offer a new Chat Transcription feature for US users via the PS4 Second Screen App on your smartphone or other mobile devices. The new feature supports US English and converts party voice chat to text, or enables you to enter text that is read aloud to other party members. If using your mobile device to connect to your PS4 during a Party, you will now see a new Party tab has been added where the new functionality is available. Remote Play For those who want to stream select PS4 games on mobile devices, Remote Play can now be used on smartphones and tablets running Android 5.0 or higher. Just download the PS4 Remote Play App from the Google Play store to use the feature. Meanwhile, for iPhone or iPad users, the Remote Play App has been updated so you can now display the controller at all times and lock the screen orientation. Also, players will be able to use their DualShock 4 wireless controllers via Bluetooth for Remote Play on an Android, iPhone, iPad, and Mac. All you need to do is update to Android 10, iOS 13, iPadOS 13, or macOS Catalina (releasing in October) to use this feature. As a reminder, a PS4 system with a wired connection via a LAN cable is recommended.
  13. Man, you must be one lonely sad soul to be a proper sweat on a Mouse and Keyboard for a mobile game. That's why I initially thought they were bots instead of real people! 😂
  14. So. Shadowkeep. Be good to hear all your first impressions. Be good to know what's the best thing about it and also what would be the first thing you would change if you could? Once I've finished the campaign I'll put up my initial thoughts as I've still got a little bit to do.
  15. Laymen Gaming / SkillUp absolutely hammered this game. They've backtracked today on the 'Time Savers' as there'll be out much later in the game but lots of microtransactions still to be everywhere across the game.
  16. Why am I not surprised to see this.... Damn! Yes! Although people wont have downloaded it I imagine?
  17. Come on then, a few options for tonight...what do you all want to play together for some shiz and giggles?
  18. CoO is widely known as the worst story campaign parts, including the planet and infinite forest - good concept, poorly executed. Warming is something they realised had to better and was. Story has always been shortish compared to overall content they offer. They brought alot in that one though, some really good exotics to chase and secrets to find. Whilst CoO story was poor, dont forget the grind for Osiris weapons. A few are really decent and Saint-14 quest was pretty special and cool to run through which drops around 5 weapons into the CoO weapon grind (Saint-14, one of the most known Titans in Destiny Lore, you know the one with the Helm of Saint-14 helmet that blinds enemies in a Titan Bubble super? that one). His Shotgun as the reward is a good one to own and use in PvP.
  19. Not gonna lie, mate at work just played a game next to me and it was actually way better than I expected. Looks pretty smooth, hit registration was on point. Controls work quite well considering it's on a phone. I imagine it's even better with one of those bluetooth controllers. Unfortunately, there was quite a few monetization ad-style overlays between games that you have to skip. Obviously want you to invest in it but for a free game on your mobile it could be worth a few games if people do play on their phone quite a bit. Cant believe I'd say a mobile game would be better than half decent, but it is.
  20. Out now for Android and iOS.
  21. I believe it's actually EDZ this week. But yeah, it's always been the case that when the Flashpoint rotates to a place you dont own you may not be able to do it....however all free players get access to all destinations so I imagine you can?
  22. Yep, all new people that just go for the free version will still get patrol access to every destination. And yeah, the moon has been revamped super well. Its very eerie too, really cool and dark feel. I feel a first impressions thread coming along.... Any others in for the game?
  23. Don't hate me...but I never played it as a kid. Only when I was older and now own a N64. I'm glad it was loved so much though - just couldn't get a hang of the weird ass controller! Would be a good game to remake for a current gen console though.
  24. That won't go away just because of this game. The great thing about that one is there is a lot of us that already own it. And that you can have big parties within it.
