  1. As every year now comes along I hope this becomes a welcome addition as it's a moment where we can say thanks and well done to some of our awesome family FGers out there. We've had a quieter year this year as opposed to 2018, so I didn't feel it was right to have as many awards as last year. This is something I hope that will change for next year but for now I am still thankful to be able to give these following 4 awards out this year! Lets not keep you waiting any longer: FG Archbishop of Banterbury - @Nutcuttlit This award was made to shout out to the funniest and jovial member of the year. Nutty without a doubt keeps everyone smiling and laughing online and has been there many times to help people out when they need support, even if its to jump off a different game. 'Scottash' has just one of those voices that lifts the mood, even if hes calling someone a ?!£$&% after he's been smashed off the track on a FG GTA Friday race. He shows his heart on his sleeve, very rarely down and has a heart of gold so I was super delighted to give him this award this year face to face. The world needs more Nutty's thats for sure. FG Hall of Fame - @Stretch616 The first of two Hall of Famers this year. One of the oldest original members to be a part of our family, even before we became FG. His support through difficiult periods has always been gratefully received and even when he couldn't be around he would always be letting me know he was around and trying his best to get online here or on his Playstation to support the FG nights. He's continually supported every event and challenge we've tried to set ourselves and we wouldn't be where we are today if it wasn't for this guy, like most of the original crew, getting FG out there and making people realise this is a family. I know this first hand because if it wasn't for Stretch, I would have never been a part of FG. Its been a long time since our chat about Destiny and for him to explain what FG was to me. He wasn't wrong. FG Hall of Fame - @BO7H B4RRELS This mighty american legend is from the 'Alliance' days of old when the two groups formed to be a big family. Tommy has always put FG in a special place and has supported Feel Good ideas and events, regardless of which side of the ocean it may be needed. Hes stayed with us through all of those difficult days. I don't think for one second that if I asked Tommy to give support to something I know he'd do it in a heartbeat. His life advice is always gratefully received and he should always be seen as a veteran FGer that can help anyone here if they are struggling. I appreciate the support hes given me over the years and it was only a matter of time until he made it into the Hall of Fame. FGer of the Year - @Greboth Well, this beauty of an individual has surprised so many people with the amount of effort and commitment to FG like no other this year. He took over being the resident Minecraft expert with not a huge background in mods, etc, to sorting out a server and modifications for a small amount of people. He's created helpful FTB mod guides, he's given generously to pretty much every Feel Good Fund presents, he's baked and created a 50th Birthday Cake for one of our very own FGers, he's built a bespoke racing car setup just for our big FG weekend, hes setup the regular time trial runs that we have on Gran Turismo, he's...you get the picture. There was times about 2 years ago that we would chat and he would literally go out of his way just to be around for myself, helping with posts and whatnot which even got myself through difficult times so this year isn't a one off. He typifies FG and is a perfect role model for our family of gamers, new and old. Congratulations to all. It was nice that I was able to give out 3 of the 4 awards this weekend just gone because I was with them. Clearly would've done the same with Tommy but, you know, flights and stuff 😉 Lets have a great end to the year and do even more awesome stuff into 2020 so these awards can keep coming like a Steam Train! GGFG
  2. Yeah, I won't be surprised but totally devastated if so. I won't even then have the need to go to browse the local CeX and Game shops as much if this happens.
  3. I think the new armour system is starting to make sense a little bit. But really is no point in worrying about it until you are nearer 950. My grind for light has gone tbh. Yeah, I want to be higher but its throwing me enough stuff that it gradually goes up anyway. Bounties and Season Pass levels are the new grind and a pretty cool one for me. Totally the right move to have it. I thought you could fail Vex Invasions Bob, as there is a timer when crystals pop up. Don't get me wrong, not sure how people could fail that still anyway but its a nice variation when they have some fantastic guns available that you can go and farm. I've used the Scout Rifle and SMG in Iron Banner last night and they did pretty well at a much lower light level. I'm keeping a Scout Rifle roll with Triple Tap and Dragonfly for PvE.
  4. Really? I mean I was worried as i was 908 last night but I didn't feel like I sucked that bad. Made me realise if I was a higher Power level i'd absolutely wrecking which is a good feeling. From last night 👇
  5. Not gonna lie, this update was built up from the best marketing I've seen in a while to cover up a huge downtime in the game. Showing a black hole for the best part of 2/3 days will hilarious (although my lad was crushed 😂) The initial updates look pretty smart too. Watching my boy play on the map and some QoL updates. I need to look more at how the challenges have developed. Graphics seem smoother and the ability to carry your teammates to safety after getting downed is pretty huge imo. Anyone played on it yet?
  6. Hell yes @Shucker. I'm back from the dead near enough so I'll do some. Also....its Iron Banana baby!
  7. I don't think itll be that bad as the challenges and objectives on the Director seem to be for a lot more places around the new DLC.
  8. I dunno, from a non-veteran of CoD, this could be a good thing. I never Prestige cos I lose the chance to play with all of the weapons. Seasonal ranks are a kind of the way to go lately. It keeps things fresh and something for the CoD regular to chase. Look at Fortnite. Destiny before that and now again. Seasons really do keep the player engaged as someone always wants the new feeling throughout a lifespan of a game. That's my hot take on this.
  9. Just getting back to this @J4MES OX4D. As 900 is the soft cap, only powerful rewards will give you higher numbers. Just look at the yellow stars that are called Challenges on the Director. Eventually that'll get you to 950. Between 950 to 960 is called Pinnacle rewards which I wouldn't worry about right now. Personally, I think the amount of activities now that are available has kind of took away the need to grind for Power. You'll pick up Power just by doing different activities. I actually think grind has now moved to the Season Pass now which I think is a better move overall.
  10. It probably is but whilst that's part of the problem, the facts are that there is a significant advantage. Unfortunately it doesn't matter if it really doesn't impact on most of us average players, no one like an unlevel playing field.
  11. That looks incredible Adam! @Dr Diamond How was the rugby atmosphere while you were there?
  12. Lovely. Can't wait to have to buy another hard drive.
  13. So where does this making people stand playing Blizzard games like Overwatch and WoW? Do you vow not to play them or carry on? Genuinely interested in what people think and how they feel about this.
  14. Nice little trailer. Never played the Spec Ops back in the day but looks like a good MP co-operative mode.
  15. Developer kits are always a little more chunky and dont end up being final versions but this one certainly looks out there. Let's hope physical game versions arent being phased out either...
  16. Nothing confirmed yet about headset though? Yeah, that its abit annoying about your Scuf. I hesitated because of the talk next year about a new console. I mean it could be worrying too early because there may be compatible options and adapters to make this stuff work on a PS5. I mean Astros are USB and optical so you gotta expect the PS5 to have them as standard?
  17. Nice to see it but I've always been bothered that if they do all go fully crossplay, I want to know what their controls are in place to stop Mouse & Keyboard players playing in twitch based PvP games. It completely ruins the playing field for certain games. Also, I wonder how much MTX and DLC will be pushed in the next 12-24 months because of this. Clearly companies won't get that extra cash that they rely on from certain players buying multiple copies of the same game. Great for consumer but unsure on how it impacts developers.
  18. Cheers @Shucker! Have we still got 3 Nightfalls then? I seen Bungie tweeted out the 'Ordeal' one is on but wasnt sure as i haven't done one yet.
  19. Nice Keegan! Glad you made it over here buddy, take a look around and get involved where you want. You always played Destiny type games or have you been into other styles of games? Enjoy your stay at FG buddy 👍😎
  20. Well, finished the campaign last night. Had a few goes on Vex new stuff too. So here goes. Hot take. Destiny positive guy thinks its worthwhile. Well yeah, duh. But it shouldn't be a surprise if you a regular player of Destiny that enjoys the games ways of giving different activities and rewards in the way it does. It will always be worthwhile to these people as you will get you moneys worth in terms of time. I think if you strip away the bias views from Destiny lovers I actually think Bungie has been extremely clever with making this content in the way they have at one of the most defining moments Bungie will ever have with Destiny. If you have committed to move away and be independent from any publisher, make a stand and change the entire base game plus most of 2 years worth of content free to play, enable cross save across multiple platforms, with a few new ones in there as well, you can start to ask how the hell could they make a brand new expansion that is a little bigger than Rise of Iron? So clearly the right thing to do was to 're-imagine' content from D1 in the main. Yeah, other people will straight away go for re-used, recycled, same old content, etc. I can understand parts of it but it really has 'evolved' into something new. It doesn't feel old however you get the best of both worlds because from time to time you recognise an old Helium Filament run and get that nostalgic boost which many of us do ask for. The campaign is relatively short, same as most campaigns. In the main i'd say it was slightly shorter than I hoped, being a lover of the story and unanswered questions. However, it was quality over quantity. The updates they've made to it really stand out. Notice how you had other NPC Guardians shooting the Hive down next to you as you battled through? It actually felt like you were finally part of a wave of Guardians, not just Billy no mates here to save the day again. Enemies have been created at the optimum damage level to the relevant Power level you expected to be around. The Hive hit slightly harder than usual and the Nightmare versions did make me jump back from time to time. Spoiler paragraph ahead - In terms of Quality though, for anyone who loves the mystery of Destiny or even kinda half gets it, knew how impressive it was to turn the corner after hearing hysterical screams from Nightmares, to a huge glowing Earth in the sky....to then be presented with the first ever Pyramid ship we've seen in-game was breathtaking. It sounds like most Destiny regular players have found this to be the best surprise of all. And that was pretty much topped by going into it by the end. I won't talk more about it, you really have to do the campaign to experience it. The dialogue and ideas behind the Nightmare's work well, although its a shame with Destiny's story its very difficult to connect back to open endgame content. I think the only way would be to hold back multiple additional missions along the way, but then they'd be told off for holding back content. It would be cool to have extra dialogue through the next 3 months - maybe the dungeon will provide this. Replayability of the Moon and Nightmare Cryptoglyph to farm weapons i'm undecided on. Thats because I haven't played it enough yet. I actually went instead to do the Vex Invasions and then the Vex Offensive first. Now that was a lot of fun. Not groundbreakingly hard but another variation and change up that made Menagerie a winner. However, this is why I said earlier that Bungie had been clever. This content is actually part of season 8. But you get that included in Shadowkeep if you buy it. I'll come back and talk more about the content in a few weeks I reckon. The great thing now is that we kinda know what to expect in how these seasons go. I've paid my money for the whole year, and now I get to sitback and watch it all the content drop. TLDR, Even if specific Shadowkeep elements are potentially lighter than usual, the huge amount of changes that have come at the same time mean its possibly the best ever time to hop back in. A game you'll continue play alongside everything else. Its the Constant One.
  21. Game has been delayed for a few months until March 2020. Good idea if it's missing those extra bits even after this launch date.
  22. What's the compatibility looking like? Controllers, headsets, PS4 games, etc? I'll need to check the link later.
  23. 7.0 Available to download now.
  24. This isn't like the Ubisoft of recent years. I'm really not sure why they'd do this unless it's purely for experimental purposes only.
  25. I know it won't suit everyone but for the ease of being able just to have 1 or 2 extra voices in a chat it will be so much better than most in-game chat options. We have so many moments where we miss because we cant record in game chat that this should really be beneficial to us all. Also, under the radar a little bit is the remote play for mobile. I've already had a friend at work say that he'll be remote playing at home and at work on his mobile so he'll actually play more playstation than now. You may find those bluetooth gamepads are a high seller at £20.
