FYI, I'm still working with the developer of our tournaments application that is great to holding information like the results and league table. If I can get him to create something before the next season I will try because its so much nicer to have it all inbuilt within its own section.

Points for the team thingy should be just simple - whatever you get where you finishing is added up together per duo. I think I'm with @jordie1892 for it to be a lottery. If we didn't match up skill levels based on previous scores then I'd say otherwise. At the end of the day its easy to get carried away with these things. We have to remember the recent GT Sport League and the FIFA Euro League we've going on here has been successes because we all have fun and don't go too uber sweaty on these things. Definitely wanna see some full grids (16) over the coming months and this helps it happen.

You can essentially download both now, similar to other games that have a PS5 version. I would suggest to do that which is what I will do. I've been trying to search to see if cross-gen is or isn't enabled and I can't find concrete evidence, although based on previous games decisions I know, all bar one (FIFA) allow you to play with PS4 folk and vice versa. However, I'm sure I read before that if you're on PS5 and you create a lobby that now can hold up to 24 players on PS5, it won't work for PS4 people. This for me is the challenge as I usually do the lobbies on FG Friday when i'm on but need us all to join. Lol, just realised I ask this question over a month ago on their Steam discussion board.... So it should be cross-gen enabled and hopefully it'll notice when a PS4 player jumps in a lobby it will restrict cars to 16 to save messing around with our versions.

I think the car manufacturer restriction scares me a little. Only because we all are still varying skill levels and what gets us through some races is the fact we can be partially competitive with whatever cars do well on tracks. I mean, what we could do is a little test of that, perhaps in the second race in the night possibly? Doesn't have to be mapped to points but certainly worth a try for a few weeks. Although working out manufacturer is a little difficult outside Audi and Peugeot for all around reliability! 🤣

Tom @LordBaguette is screwed then, as his teammate will be hammering him if he CBA's again! Overall I think its a great idea, definitely gives extra vibes on how to approach races alongside helping more people learn the game more. We've done a great job (well, not me, others!) in terms of helping many of us lesser experienced folk get better and understand more about the finer details. This seems a great way to keep people engaged and something else to aim at. Btw, if you wanted utilise some of the software we have on here atm, a subtle different way you could do it is, is each week one team are up against another team and the collectively points each teammate gets is their overall score. I'd love to in one sense because everything looks cool in those tables! but I do think you'd probably want some decent attendance. Either way would love to make it more than just an individual race so great shout @jordie1892 !

What a league race this week! Lots of things happening, it felt like most drivers were in it with a shout. @JBR-Kiwi had a cracker of a race given for the fact I think he got away from everyone else without a scratch the entire race! Everyone had struggles but came through the pack well - most notably @Mikepjbell and @phil bottle. And then @Greboth making his way back from dead last to second was an achievement...probably lucky it happened on the first lap! I somehow spun the car nearly half way through the race whilst sitting in 3rd after such a good start - devastated. @crispymorgan really held the second fantastically well, but came unstuck right at the end with @Lurch driving fantastically consistent throughout to get 3rd. Commendable mention for @Macca89 too. If he starts to understand more about the strategies that can be done, i really think a higher position was available. I think James just edges it from Phil tbh. Phil nearly nicking third made his strategy pay off but in the end another solid drive from James on this track sealed him a great finish. Crispy is so close to nailing the entire pack though if he can get the strategy right. What's your vote? Poll is above 👆 and sound off below 👇

I'm still amazed but equally not surprised we can do something like this and have a real good bunch that not only tries to compete against each other but also is trying to help each other improve. I even felt at one point @Macca89 who has picked it up relatively shortly was gonna get a great race result if it wasn't for the strategy. @JBR-Kiwi is bang on. Strategy is absolutely coming into play, which I love seeing unfold. At one stage last nights first race I don't think anyone knew what was going to happen - probably the only guarantee was my spinning out 🤣 - but its things like that which keeps every week interesting. Fair play to Greebs taking the hit when he made a large error on Phil. Stuff like that happens and he did amazingly well to get back through the pack to still push Kiwi at the end. Everyone had a great race and it makes me continually wish I had more time to practice as its really enjoyable practicing and learning with everyone. Wish we could find more time for races again! P.S. And one day that grid is definitely going to be full! Good turn out again.

Here we go. New season is nearly upon. And a NEW 6 player experience! Alongside VoG Raid 😎 Season starts from May 11th and ends August 24th Hopefully with people returning and new players wanting to have a go on Vault of Glass, the extra 6 player activity is just coming at the right time!

Has that been 100% confirmed though? I didn't expect them to exclude PS4, Xbox One people, especially with the lack of next gen systems about. Yeah i'm hoping to hear more soon. Weirdly, i'd like us to be hyped for something new of late. Miss the buzz (well, not all the time 😄) of info being leaked ahead of the next big game

THE news we've been hoping for, and i thought it was lost to Microsoft after previous rumblings about a possible deal. I think Sony have absolutely pulled off a huge deal here. Discord is ridiculously powerful - to the extent that we use it here intergrated with the home of FG. I've always seen it as the instant chat version of what gamers are more likely to use as its so easy and you can hook a ton of other things to it. Very surprised to see Sony pull this off but finally we get to look forward to better party systems that should include the infamous LFG options that massively open up social games even more. Keeping a close eye on this one for sure!

It takes a lot of effort and upkeep to ensure everything is ticking over and I'd like to think we've all done our best of this covid period together at FG. As we come out the other end I'd like to think/hope we can continue the good deeds we've done with keeping us all active and having opportunities to get together to have laughs and help each other. I'd like to welcome Chad @Riff Machine as a Moderator to FG. He's also an admin on the FG Discord as he's stepped up to help out where possible around FG after being a part of the furniture for quite a while now - and it's perfect timing to as he's also just past his 1 whole year of sobriety, so I think doubly-thanks appreciation posts are welcome! Well done mate! 🤘 I'd also like to welcome La @RenFengge as an Admin to FG. She's already been around pretty much everywhere and anywhere all over FG if you've seen any bit of here. From organising Destiny raids, welcoming new people in their own PPRs, posting invaluable stuff, and an all round decent person. This will give me certainly a huge help, like she already has been doing - La is busy behind the scenes helping me fix our merch supplier issues, and trying to help secure places/activities for more physical meet ups too. Its been a real joy to have you here, La (and you too, Carl! 🤣) Both Chad and La are also over the Atlantic if you hadn't worked that out already so hopefully this will also help whilst the European lot are asleep. Don't ever think we haven't stopped reaching out to our old family and friends to bring them back into the fold and get their lazy ass thumbs up and running again - and new FGers too 😄 Exciting times ahead, with some updates and lots of fun in store for the rest of the whole year but for now I hope you all can get behind my words as I'm sure you'd want to wish them yourselves a warm welcome and congrats to their changes. Another decent race yesterday. Portugal was bound to be less incidents although it was good to watch strategies unfold. Hamilton and Verstappen are really a stride ahead of others. You could see on a track that Bottas is extremely quick at, he just couldn't handle the pace and made costly errors to lose his places. It felt like Hamilton was in the zone this week and was pretty much unstoppable. Norris yet again driving phenomally well. Can't believe he's 3rd in the rankings, its super to see although I think he was abit unfortunate not to come higher because he had to switch to Mediums to cover the Sainz pitstop 1 lap before and then a few laps later people started to realise the Hard tyres were working slightly better than Mediums. The last few laps got interesting to try and get the extra point from the fastest lap. Red Bull thinking lets try and knick the point, and then Mercedes covering with Bottas. I mean, Verstappen was probably a little unlucky to get his lap wiped as it looked millimetres but it was better to see stewards be consisitent at this race as they picked up every time it happened as opposed to previous races. Definitely a great start with two manufacturers very competitive and seeing McLaren slowly edge themselves closer. Even Ricciardo had a great race after a really poor qualifying. I fear Ferrari are inevitably closer to pulling out of F1 though. They just look a distant memory of what they used to be back in the day. I'm not a personal fan of them but the sport needs them regardless.

I agree with this 100%. As soon as I saw 'Campaign' in the title I sighed. I agree with you again though if its remastering MP side of things. We've proven that the private lobbies are where its at and we need more flexibility in that sp[ace around game modes and party sizes.

I just don't get how that email in unattrievable. Thats surely against Yahoo's terms of service, as they can't just remove you as the owner that email address...because if so you can just register that same email address straight away as a new person. You tried that btw? If it then says email address in use its pretty clear you can get it back again. Not sure why Yahoo are being arseholes though...

We're nearly there, and this week's TWAB gave us the date we needed to know so we can start planning to put a few teams together and enjoy this raid like previous Destiny 1 players loved and enjoy watching new players experience the different challenges we'll face. The date? Saturday 22nd May 10AM PDT / 6PM UK Time Gonna use this thread for 2 things; Stuff/info that was covered off in this week's TWAB and anything that people find oput about the raid as abnd when it becomes available Start understanding who would really enjoy to try this on the first day and week of launch so we can create some teams So for now, here's some basic stuff to know from the TWAB. I'll try and summarise the main points first: Vault of Glass will launch with Contest Mode (explained here) enabled for 24 hours. You will need to be at 1300 Power to be at the cap for all of the encounters. THAT IS 10 POWER LESS THAN THE CURRENT SEASON CAP SO YOU MAY ALREADY BE READY FOR DAY 1. Clearing Vault of Glass with Contest Mode active is the first step to access the new Challenge Mode in the Director and the Tempo's Edge Triumph. Completing Tempo's Edge, a curated list of Triumphs, in this newly unlocked Challenge Mode, will be how a fireteam crosses the World First finish line and claims their prize. To enforce the Triumph requirements in the Challenge Mode, your team will wipe if you fail the success conditions during each encounter. They've been pretty clear they want to try and keep as much of the original aesthetics so broadly the raid should go as most that have completed will know, however there will be updates to bring it into line with Destiny 2's state of play so I'm still expecting a few mechanics, areas and enemies to be tweaked so its not all the same. So, who's up for it?! I'll add an event on the Calendar too (see below). Be good to know what experience below you've had before (if any) and if you do fancy getting involved in the festivities in the month ahead! Totally interested @crispymorgan , ofc you knew I would be though when it comes to all of us 😎❤️ Just a few thoughts as i'm still looking at separate big meet ups with La and even just some day activities because I suppose the one big thing we don't know what to expect yet is what countries what border to border regarding Covid, which is a bit of a bitch to book anything abroad right now. Also, need to know budgets, possible dates, inventory crap we need, and if thats flexible per person - some might wanna go for a 2 days, other for 4, etc. There's loads more questions obviously, but these ones will help initially so I can understand what i'm also planning with home breakaways and the FG ones too 😘
