  1. Just finished my first and possibly only play-through in around 55 hours of being in-game and reaching level 40. Got 34/50 achievements and sided with the in the end. I did stress myself of what faction to commit to and I did a lot of thinking until my brain hurt but each one is has benefits and drawbacks to the extent you're damned if you do and damned if you don't. I thought the final few missions were excellent though and have saved games backed-up which allow me to jump into each faction to complete their respective finale also. I don't think I want to do another run anytime soon although it was an excellent game for the most part. Still have a few loose ends to tie up and achievements to earn on my main file but will certainly look to explore each ending as well.
  2. Preston Garvey:- ''I've got something new for you to do - it's a bit different''.... ...same mission as the last one.
  3. Nice to see this being 'remastered' for March this year. Played this through on my mates PS3 and thought it was a truly unique and unforgettable experience. Not the sort of game you play through more than once but I may make an exception as that was over 5 years ago. Anyone who missed out should definitely pick this up when it's out. If anyone is also looking for something similar; Life Is Strange is an excellent alternative.
  4. What games is everyone looking forward to this year? I'm going for American Truck Simulator, Rise Of The Tomb Raider, X-Com 2, The Division, Doom, Escape From Tarkov, Firewatch, Deus Ex Mankind Divided, Dishonored 2 and Mirrors Edge Catalyst. There are a few more that will grab me but those games are pretty much cemented in terms of a release date. Rise Of The Tomb Raider has already been excellently received on XB1 which is great news but shitty exclusivity as ever. Still not entirely sold on The Division but we'll see in the beta this month but it should be a decent year and plenty to look forward to in the next few months alone. E3 will no doubt bring plenty more along the way.
  5. Another video which surprisingly hasn't been taken down. View it while you can
  6. Happy New Year all!
  7. I've never seen such a lopsided fire like that! Glad nobody was seriously hurt or killed and it'll be interesting to see how it occurred and why it spread that way. I thought funky new buildings like that were almost invincible towards such things with so much high tech features so it's not something you see too often like that.
  8. Have you tried it on Google Chrome or Firefox Tommy? Also after you type in 'search' press enter - I'll write that in the OP as that could be the problem
  9. Open up Steam to your browser; NOT the client and login. Then go to the Ikaruga store page here http://store.steampowered.com/app/253750 On that page; just type in 'search' - not with the commas or in any text box or web address; just type it in on the webpage itself and then press enter. A box should appear and in there type 1v7531. You'll be awarded the Red Herring badge and 100xp
  10. One to watch next year for sure - a nice mix of S.T.A.L.K.E.R and Fallout
  11. Sale is a bit turd-like. No flash sales means that the discounts you see on offer now will persist through the sale and not improve. Also most of the deals have been seen so many times previous and if you didn't get games back then; you probably wont get them now either. No unique deals but pissing around with the discovery queues lands 3 trading cards a day so that's about the only reasonable thing. I've picked up Mount and Blade Warband and Gabriel Knight in the sale plus Squad which is a £30 alpha That's me done and my wallet safe at least!
  12. Agree! FIFA has dominated PES for the last 7 or so years and has turned into a powerhouse whilst PES went the other way but finally Konami have turned it around as FIFA seems to be going stale and not making the strides it once was. Seems EA are just content with minor additions and few improvements each year which allows them to sell copies and milk the UT aspect still. Konami have certainly had to work hard but with the new Fox engine; they are moving in the right direction and have a good future foundation as long as the publishers don't pull the plug of videogames and focus on mobile. Hopefully this will give FIFA a welcome kick up the arse so EA will have no choice but to actually put some effort in - apart from the Ignite texture and animation engine; they're still using the same base engine from 2003 and this is where they can come unstuck whilst PES has a brand new bit of kit with Fox. It's just a travesty that the licence and general presentation is so lacking as the gameplay is close to the quality it used to be back in the day. Both games are way off the likes of MLB and NBA 2K in terms of authenticity and with all the money FIFA has made; that's where the standard should be right now which it is nowhere near. PES has become king again for sure!
  13. Pretty good!
  14. Blatter and Platini banned for 8 years http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/35144652 Wonder if the FA still supports Platini as the new head of FIFA
  15. Real Madrid got lucky today http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/35141793
  16. Siege is currently on a free weekend on PC if anyone is interested https://rainbow6keys.ubi.com/en-GB
  17. No mour Mourinho Hope they get Juande Ramos as a replacement Jose to Man Utd I'd expect.
  18. I didn't get around to picking up the PS4 version - I'm sticking with my P©S3 version at present I'll try and grab it for twenty notes over Christmas I think. I take it that it's a huge improvement with the new engine?
  19. Yep, it's amazing to think I could survive on 2-3 N64 games a year because they cost around £60 a pop yet you could play the likes of Turok, Goldeneye, Mario and Zelda for hundreds of hours and never get bored. The expectations and attitudes these days in the industry is so different.
  20. Kojima and his teams work in the AAA market in the past was of exceptional quality when he had control of content, budget and deadlines so I think he could restore the standard that we used to see in the major gaming market. Other studios that aren't tied to gaming politics such as CD Projekt Red prove that this can still be possible. The problem with Konami, Kojima and the MGS V project was down to the publishers having complete control over the product at a time when they wanted to exit the console gaming market. It was rumoured that Kojima didn't even want to make another MGS title as the 4th was supposed to be the final game in the series and this would explain why MGS V's story was non-existent and didn't want to take away anything he'd made previous when running his projects. I did enjoy The Phantom Pain but it was clear that the game wasn't made with the same level of passion, quality and direction and you do feel that Kojima was under some dictatorship in the process of churning it out. The online aspect stinks of Konami money-grabbing too and out of all the AAA publishers in existence; their online games are the worst I have ever seen yet that didn't stop them creating this microtransaction-focused online aspect in MGS V which was just appallingly concocted. I think Sony and Kojima will be a good partnership and we may not have an end-product for 5 years or so but I think it will be produced in immense quality and in the interest of gamers and not a focus of milking money. It should be a sound investment and something to look forward to. I expect Konami to be wobbling and downsizing in the mobile market in that period and it wouldn't surprise me if they go bankrupt in a few years time and I don't think they'll ever forgive themselves for losing Hideo and his team.
  21. Has finally departed the clutches of Konami and done a deal with Sony for his own project which is great news. Thank christ a talent like that isn't tied down in the same fashion with publishers like Activision, Ubisoft and EA. He'll also be able to assemble a quality team with his longstanding reputation in the industry and deliver games at his pace with no cut content, forced microtransactions and daft deadlines. Konami are really the unsung bastards of the AAA gaming scene along with the usual suspects - they are abandoning their AAA games to focus on mobile gaming with only PES remaining. MGS V was a good game but ruined by dreadful management and other titles like Silent Hill which looked unreal in the tech demo were cancelled. Screw Konami!
  22. This releases on Steam tomorrow 'remastered' https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_smmPB0-oWE Did anyone have this back in the day? I remember my parents spending £59.99 on it all those years ago. Great N64 game in the days when games were pricey but you'd play them for years and years even just solo and never be bored.
  23. Hopefully DICE will remain committed like they did with Battlefield 4 without feeling forced to but as Battlefield 5 is in the works and several key staff have switched projects including Dan Vaderlind; I can only see the 'withheld' material being integrated into the game and then that'll be that. It still seems like a flavour of the month title and there are much better titles out there for a lot less money.
  24. £37 is still way too expensive for this game - I think £24.99 tops. There were many Black Friday deals which dropped it to around the £30 mark but it still didn't tempt me. Trouble is when this gets to a more attractive price; I think the people departing the game will still outweigh any quantity of prospective buyers and I don't really want to join a community that's dwindling. I've been following the player counts closely and PS4 gets around 70,000 at peak right now, Xbox One nets about 40,000 and PC is surprisingly high at 15,000 but just like Battlefield Hardline, Evolve and another brands like this; those figures have a habit of plummeting and a game like Battlefront lacks the core content to keep players engaged and the season pass is just unjustifiable. Bloody EA!

    Squad (PC)

Like a cross between old Battlefield and Arma. Game released today in early access (shame) but is apparently very good indeed and one to watch
