  1. Aston Villa 4-1 Wolves Aston Villa 1-3 QPR Thanks for fucking up my accumulator Villa Oh well, at least Mourinho has come unstuck
  2. Oooooh you're showing off now. FYI my tin opener Robert Dyas and was once on the QVC channel so suck on that
  3. Jesus Dave, my electric tin opener is more powerful than that
  4. I missed a 96% hit on X-Com 2 and was so enraged that I uninstalled the game. After calming down I then had to re-install the whole thing again! Hopefully we'll get some new gameplay videos this month but from what I've seen so far it does look very good and the combat system is slightly more detailed albeit very similar to X-Com. Just hope the campaign has plenty of varied missions.
  5. I'm keeping an eye on this one. Made by the same team that did Shadowrun too. X-com with mechs sounds very intriguing.
  6. I'll take a wild guess that Nuketown will be a pre-order bonus as usual. It was so bad in BO3 that I uninstalled it so I wouldn't have to play on it ever again. Treyarch have some of the best maps in the series such as Summit, Firing Range, WMD, Jungle and Standoff but I wouldn't want them to recycle/remake/re-imagine any - I'd rather have a fresh batch this time around and no sniff of NuketoIVn either. I have a horrible feeling this game will have a Battle Royale map too so COD can keep up the tiring trend and also win back some of the kids that went to Fortnite plus all their trusted cakesocking YouTuber's.
  7. I have all the DLC's but you don't really need any of them as the core free updates make up the meat of the improvements and the DLC usually just adds minor things such as new races or gameplay features that aren't a necessity. Paradox's content policy is rather confusing and complex especially to unfamiliar players as the DLC's can be tied in with the new updates. Many people are enraged by the developers holding back essential gameplay mechanics behind DLC paywalls on games like Europa Universalis IV but with Stellaris it's not half as bad as most mechanics can be used in the base game and the expansions aren't really required but are worthwhile in some respects. Stellaris's expansions worth getting especially at a reduced price in the sale is the Synthetic Dawn pack which adds robotic AI which can be great to play as or against especially as there are story elements also added to the campaign rather than just being a basic generic race. Utopia is the first expansion and that allows for megastructures and more advanced government features - not ideal but adds some extra depth. Apocalypse which is the second major expansion that was just released recently adds space pirates and more end game elements such as planet killing colossus weapons - this stuff is more for the end-game. The DLC is quite pricey and non-essential especially as the 2.0 update which was free, contains the bulk of the new features. Worth picking up in the sale down the line after you've become familiar with the game. The rest of the DLC is fairly minor and surrounds portraits, new races and minor story extras. The total DLC cost is about £35 at full price but that can easily be whittled down to about £27 in the current sale. The base game alone is worth playing as is though and anything else can be experienced in the future.
  8. Jamie Carragher not doing the Scouse stereotype any favours Don't know why these pundits make such stupid mistakes to put their very comfortable and well-paid jobs at risk.
  9. Another 'full house' at the Emirates yesterday
  10. Not only did the thing look like a VHS player but the always online, compulsory Kinect and no pre-owned games was a disaster right off the bat and then the ones that did buy it after the infamous u-turns found out that the console was dreadfully underpowered for its cost and then there were little good games available. Hard to believe this was the follow up to the iconic 360! At least Nintendo have learned from their mistakes whilst Microsoft just keep on making more and more.
  11. The Switch and the PS4 have one thing in common; first party titles for their own in-house developers. Quality and quantity of games matter so much and these consoles have stacks. Doesn't surprise me that Nintendo are thriving so well - the Switch launched with more top games than the Xbox One has mustered in 4 years. This is where Microsoft have struggled throughout and deservedly so after their woeful entry into this generation with a VHS player, Kinect, no devs and needing to throw money around at the likes of Titanfall just in the hope of getting a foothold in something 'exclusive'. They may have the Xbox One X which is complete overkill for gamers and devs but if you've got jack shit games then what's the point and it just proves how desperate and wayward Microsoft have been this gen from start to finish aka now. There's absolutely no point in the XB1 at all really which is a shame as the 360 was a wonderful console. Just goes to show that money can't buy success now matter how much you throw around and if you don't have your own studios you ain't got no games. I hope Nintendo can maintain their quality titles in quantity also, and that they continue to attract developers and other major games in years to come. It's definitely been a very encouraging start.
  12. I think it's supposed to be set between Black Ops 2 and Black Ops 3 which is good. I'm hoping it wont look as cartoony as BO3 did and hopefully there wont be things like specialists either as that was a bit of a downer for me and the campaign was god awful; probably the worst I've played in the series. Treyarch are the only decent devs left that you can trust so I'm sure they'll deliver something half decent regardless but I can't see them ever producing anything like they did with WaW, BO1 and BO2.
  13. Big 5.7gb patch was released yesterday to fix outstanding bugs and improve some mechanics along with the save system. I'll have to check that out today as that was a big stumbling block for many users.
  14. According to the rumours it's a near-futuristic setting but more likely to be BOTG than advanced movement. We'll have to wait and see though.
  15. It does feel like an Elder Scrolls game without all the fantasy elements which is actually really refreshing for an RPG surprisingly. It does take a bit of time getting used of how the mechanics and interface work compared to other games as it's more sim-oriented i.e the way you are dressed and how you act can impact how people see you. Very smart and ambitious game and the story/cutscenes are very impressive.
  16. I don't think anyone is calling Battlefield 5 shit and they'd be fools to write-off a videogame so quickly but there is certainly widespread disappointment in the Battlefield community of the direction DICE have chosen as barely anybody expected or wanted a WW2 themed game especially coming off the back of BF1. The general hope was a new Bad Company or modern day game to maintain the series variety. There was even hope of a sequel to BF2142 to keep the franchise feeling fresh and varied but the strong rumours that it's going to be WW2 is massive hard-on killer especially with the amount of WW2 shooters in the market right now. It's also quite hard to envisage a WW2 title really pushing the series and shooters in general forward. If Treyarch nail modern BO4 then Battlefield will once again be chasing shadows and it'll be that which feels stale.
  17. Brought the release forward to before Red Dead Redemption 2 cheeky bastards!
  18. Confirmed First game came a long way after launch so I'm fairly happy about this. Many lessons have been learned and technology has grown since so hopefully we'll get a highly ambitious and well-directed game right off the bat this time. Hopefully a fresh and original setting too. Would also like to see the Dark Zone scrapped altogether and PvP across the whole map instead to add some real tension and a bit of realism.
  19. Map editor info Seems that the co-op, although the whole campaign can be played in this mode; only the host's story progress saves although the second user still retains any unlocks and looted items. Map editor could be fun if it's crammed of assets and creative tools.
  20. I used to be quite competitive back in the 360/PS3 gen when COD was decent and it was always fun improving and unlocking challenges. I've kinda outgrown that and eSports just doesn't appeal whatsoever. Not sure if that's down to age or if I would have hated it back in the day also. I now prefer more relaxed experiences in a variety of genres where enjoyment takes priority over performance. After getting back into PC gaming a few years ago and having sampled some incredible titles away from the mainstream AAA trash that have plagued this generation; I'm always looking for new niche titles. Due to time constraints, family and work I can't always game comfortably without interruptions so I am limited especially with MP titles and gaming with friends but any time I do have I use wisely hence nearly 600 hours in American Truck Simulator
  21. £12 here if you're interested https://www.cdkeys.com/pc/games/stellaris-pc-cd-key-steam and that price will likely remain at that level from that site so you can grab it whenever you have some pennies spare. I picked up Apocalypse and the Synthetic Dawn DLC today so I'm good to go - just need to find the spare time now!
  22. Definitely worth picking up especially in the sale as the price drops considerably. Keep an eye on this site for all PC games https://isthereanydeal.com/ which tracks live pricing on numerous sites to get the best deal(s) possible on games and DLC.
  23. I'm over 15 hours in so far and really enjoying it. It's such a relaxing game in a truly stunning world. No serious bugs yet thank god but the combat is very cumbersome at times and things like lockpicking and pickpocketing could have been implemented much better. Seriously immersive game though and it almost feels like real life at times. Intriguing story and some really entertaining quests too. I've got my horse now and riding around is jolly good fun
  24. I really need to get back into Stellaris especially with the 2.0 update recently released along with the Apocalypse DLC. I bet quite a bit has changed as Paradox really do push the boat out when improving and adding to their games and that's not taking into account any extra content. I may have to replay the tutorial just to refresh my memory!
