Most retailers have cheekily bumped the price back up now the game has got some actual features rather than being a generic sandbox. It was under a tenner and in most bargain bins for the past year and a half but now as a minority of people have 'forgiven' Sean Murray for lying to them for 3 years straight; retailers are swooping as wallets are slowly opening. The publishers have also kept the price at £39.99 on Steam which insulting really.
Developers are being very cocky an arrogant about the fact they've added about 3 out of the 37 features they talked about before launch but from a non-brainwashed standpoint, it's nothing to be proud of.
I'd avoid it on principle as the game was sold on a pack of lies and even now, only a few things have been added that were initially promised and they only did that to cover their arses from refunds and litigation. It's still a threadbare game with very little to do.
30k for a Cat? Got to be a joke surely?!
There were a few missiles thrown during the game and some blocked stairways but the cat invading the pitch was deemed the most serious offence 🤣

Steampunk has a very distinctive style especially in regards to the clothing. The vibe is very much vintage sci-fi with an historical twist.
I hope character customisation lets me play as this guy
Anytime MW2, please let this franchise die already,, please let this franchise die already, is written, the phrase 'please let this franchise die already' pops up. Who's been fucking around with the forum coding? Bet it's Diddums!
If I saw this and hadn't seen the BF5 reveal; I would never have ever guessed this to be a Battlefield game. It looks more like Far Cry 5 or some warped Steampunk themed shooter than a WW2 BF title.
I'd like to see WMD from BO1 return as that map was great in all modes. Summit is another iconic map but they didn't do a very good job of re-imagining it in BO2. Actually most of Treyarch's remakes have been pretty bad previously apart from Firing Range (Studio) Stadium (Takeoff) was another good map that went to shit when it was remade. Slums would be a good map to bring back too I reckon.
*Edit The previous leak was partially correct but I'll list the confirmed maps here instead. Names subject to change on the remakes:-
- Frequency
- Contraband
- Payload
- Seaside
- Jungle (Black Ops)
- Summit (Black Ops)
- Firing Range (Black Ops)
- Slums (BO2)
- Nuketown
Yep, it's not even nostalgia that makes those games good - they are genuinely excellent titles that are still incredibly enjoyable today. No SBMM or competitive bullshit on shoebox sized 3 lane maps - just pure varied fun despite some annoying elements. You don't need an over the top story, Hollywood actors or cartoony gimmicks to make a great experience yet these developers don't seem to understand that.
I cannot believe they aren't doing a modern day Battlefield 5 - what a wasted opportunity. This could've put COD to bed entirely with sheer ambition and really push the Frostbite engine to its maximum potential. I can't recall anyone asking for a WW2 shooter in the BF community and this industry is saturated with World War themed games. Another developer that's completely out of touch with its very own players and the wishes of the wider FPS community.
That's been the problem in this franchise for so many years now. They thought competitive was the way forward (along with wallrunning and outer space) when 99% of users are casual and not even a nosedive in sales and player counts couldn't hit home that this isn't what people wanted. The brand has failed miserably with the competitive focus so instead of writing it off; they've copied every other game in the last few years in one last ditch attempt but it will be the same old story I think; only this time, the competitive-heavy format will put people off entirely from purchasing. The series cannot get a foothold in the eSport arena and it makes very limited revenue from streams which is why nobody plays it.
How hard is it to make a military-themed 6v6 FPS with boots on the ground with real weapons, equipment and vehicles FFS without having to add farcical features such as superhero abilities, knee sliding, OP weapons and cartoony gadgets. This picture springs to mind again:
The one positive about this is that you wont run into a troll team all running the same specialist - 5 players all with deployed shields headglitching would be pure hell!
I do think this game could have a lot of exploits attributed to the fundamental design and that's something that simply can't just be patched out or changed easily when it's nailed down like the health regen.
Bad week for Sterling - turns up late for training, found to have a tattoo of an M16 assault rifle and now gets booked for diving against Nigeria in a friendly. It'll be interesting to see how he does in the World Cup after such a terrible tournament last time. He has improved for City under Guardiola from when he was at Liverpool but I think he's been heavily carried by the rest of the team. He has a lot to prove to justify his price tag and starting in the World Cup. Last thing we want is another Theo Walcott.
Haha yep! These 3 games have all recently come out of early access so the prices have shot up sadly but hopefully there will be some decent discounts on them in the Steam Sale. The Forest is still attractively priced at £15.49 though but Ark went up to £49.99 which is a massive jump. That game is decent and very similar to Conan. Subnautica is £19.49 which is a pretty good price also so if you want something now, The Forest and Subnautica are still great purchases at full whack but Ark at £50 is too much even being a good game.
Looks like Tony has been on the Kronenbourgs again but it's an interesting theory. If Henderson is gonna fit in, I'd rather see him sitting deeper than playing a more creative role with Alli and co. I'd go for a more 3-1-4-2 formation. Our defence's pace probably wont be a problem but the speed of our mental awareness could be the issue and players like Kyle Walker who couldn't even handle Will Grigg and John Stones could get torn apart in the blink of an eye. We'll be then relying on Jordan 'concedes 3 goals a game and is still our best goalkeeper' Pickford to bail us out.
Ark Survival Evolved is a very good choice and is similar to Conan Exiles but is set on a tropical backdrop with dinosaurs. You can play solo with PvE . The Forest is another good PvE experience set on an island - it's just come out of early access to very positive reviews too. Subnautica is another fine game set in the ocean which is highly rated. These games should all be in the Steam sale in 3 weeks too!
Exactly. You could land 6 hits against a user with 150 health and not kill them then they shoot you once in the shin with a sniper and you die. They can then press L1 and heal straight to 150 in a second whilst you have to respawn. The quick ADS and high rate of fire on the snipers (lol) will make it easier than ever for quickscopers.
Just imagine having a couple of snipers headglitching using the specialists deployable wall shield over an objective with medic health boosters behind them - they'd be nigh-impossible to kill and any hits you land they can counter with an instant health regen. The amount of potential exploits in this game is very concerning.
It's 25% off but even that's no different to the discount on offer on the likes of GMG when the game was released sadly. With the summer sale just 3 weeks away, it may only get reduced to 33% off - just depends on how the game performs now against a tougher discount window with even more titles on offer. I'd struggle to even be interested at 50% in all honesty!
I didn't get it in the end and the more reviews I see, the more glad I didn't. Doesn't seem a bad game but lots of bugs and flaws still persist it seems. Seems worth getting if you are a huge fan of Warhammer and have friends who also have it but other than that, it seems a comfortable pass even at such a reasonable price.
150 health but snipers are OHK anywhere on the body it seems. Treyarch toned down sniping in BO1 after MW 2 but they upset so many quickscopers that ever since, sniping has been prominent and very easy. Even without aim assist now, sniping looks easy to pull off still.
The one thing that's worse than getting killed by a quickscoper is having quickscopers on your team going 5-23 trying to get that montage clip. The fact that the maps are so fucking small now, there is no logic to having snipers in the game at all other than for the premise of quickscoping which is not using the gun as intended - this was an SOH exploit from the old MW days that for some reason has been carried through numerous COD games when it should have been eliminated and not encouraged.
Most of the quickscope community are now grown up or are playing Fortnite and have long abandoned Call of Duty. They don't need to be catered to anymore.
