  1. I bought FIFA 18 cheap in January and played about 5 games then uninstalled it! It's so arcadey now and scoring is just so easy - even on the hardest difficulty setting you can split the defences so easily with a through ball and score every time. You can do the same online but it makes the scripting even more prominent. Even the FIFA screamers have moved on to Fortnite it seems. EA seem to take one step forwards one year and then two back the next.
  2. RIP. Wasn't a fan of his music - some of it hurt my brain to listen to but it's sad to see such a popular global artist die so young at only 28. No cause of death yet but it seems he did suffer alcohol-related health problems in recent times.
  3. Ah the self-proclaimed 'greatest minds in football'. He couldn't get get the Oxford or Grimsby jobs so I'd laugh if he gets the Arsehole one!
  4. Apparently it's like LawBreakers and Overwatch and by the sounds of it, if these rumours are to be believed; it is destined to be a total fuck up from top to bottom https://charlieintel.com/2018/04/19/rumor-new-call-of-duty-black-ops-4-leaks-indicates-mp-is-similar-to-overwatch/ I've never seen such concern with a Treyarch game or any other title in the franchise like this. It seems like an absolute calamity and with Activision already cancelling the campaign, it sounds like the multiplayer should get the chop too. At this rate it'll be BO4 with only zombies and an unfinished Battle Royale mode! These are only rumours though but the way the media have pounced on them suggests there is some merit and just knowing the Activision canned the story because it was basically shit suggests there is development hell going on behind the scenes.
  5. Yep, it's unclear how far into development the campaign had been but Activision weren't impressed it seems. Doesn't ooze much confidence in Treyarch for the rest of the game either. If Raven don't finish Battle Royale before release and it cannot support 100 players; the whole package will be a joke at this rate. Activision have paid the price for their lack of innovation over the years and now they are desperately chasing the trends. They should just accept that their brand is getting destroyed by an early access free to play game and instead of hopping on the bandwagon; maybe innovate or rejuvenate even if it's getting too late.
  6. So sad and only 62! What a TV legend. ''Next time you're in the supermarket and you hear the beep; think of the fun you could be having on Supermarket Sweep''
  7. Only 1500 players currently playing right now which is just 15 matches globally. A Battle Royale game really needs 150,000 players on at worst to remain sustainable. This game wont be DOA; it'll be dead after a week at this rate.
  8. Yep! I've read that it wasn't like Treyarch just neglected the campaign to prioritise the multiplayer and zombies - Activision actually cancelled it because it was 'too out there' and 'outlandish'. After Black Ops 3's ludicrous campaign, I can kinda believe it. According to the latest update; the Raven's Battle Royale mode might not even be ready for launch and they aren't even sure if it'll support 100 players. What an absolute fiasco this could turn out to be. In the past 30 days we've gone from Modern Warfare 2 remastered without multiplayer to Black Ops 4 without a campaign!
  9. Even though the campaigns are fairly short and not everyone plays them; they remain an integral part of the experience and give the game its identity. If this is true and they remove it in place of a Battle Royale mode (how fucking original) then that would probably be the end of the franchise for me. What's worse is that Raven Software are doing the BR portion apparently and they are god awful developers who somehow even manged to ruin Modern Warfare Remastered and then went into hiding. I can actually see Call of Duty becoming a card game in 3 years time the way the industry is going.
  10. It's just a cash-grab attempt with minimal risk - plaster together a game based on the current top genre and hope you get just a tiny slice of the market. If it fails, they've only lost a small amount of money and it's taken them no more than half a year to test the water. Saves them spending 2 more years on a game that may be DOA and when Battle Royale has fizzled out. The problem they had with LawBreakers was 4 years of development making a game in a saturated genre that cost a fortune that in the end nobody wanted to play. They've done the exact opposite with this one at the expense of ethics, credibility and quality. It may make more than LawBreakers did even being free and cost a lot less money to produce but it's not done the studio any credit. Boss Key Studios could've easily tried to make a decent single player game or look for a gap in the market but instead, once again they are trying to chase easy money in genre that is dominated by rivals even more prominent than Overwatch.
  11. Man City 2-3 Man Utd> Man Utd 0-1 WBA WTF. Man City champions then!
  12. Liverpool v Roma and Real v Bayern. Roma shouldn't be underestimated but Liverpool could certainly powerhouse themselves into the final. I think Real will probably have a bit too much for Bayern in the end especially if the ref is on their side too Arsenal have Athletico Madrid which is the tie they probably wanted to avoid. Win that and they should win it but the home performance is key and not to concede an away goal. Neves definitely for me. Ronaldo's goal was great but there have been better in the football league this season that don't even get a mention. Even though Wolves have bought the league and broke all the rules in the process; they've had a great season.
  13. Ah I see - Lawn Bowls must be the one where they have coffee and 99p ice cream cones available from the shack then. Gotcha
  14. I really like Bowls but it's quite a dangerous sport and there tends to be crowd trouble at games.
  15. This has thrown quite a few people https://steamcommunity.com/games/593110/announcements/detail/1667896941884942467 as their profiles are now restricted even if they were entirely public before. You may have to tweak these to restore your account visibility like it was before because the new default setting removes many standard visible features.
  16. Looks amazing
  17. Devastating finale at the Bernabeau tonight - Juventus were incredible but it always was going to end in such a dreadful and predictable way.
  18. Yep, out of all the businesses I work with, shop with or am registered to; only Greenmangaming have so far acted upon this forthcoming change. Just hope any company that dodges this gets held accountable with the penalties outlined. I hope I don't get flooded in the last couple of weeks before the deadline but that's the way it seems to be heading.
  19. Big changes starting next month to data protection in the EU which you may start noticing as businesses prepare for this implementation. You may receive emails and other documentation which outline existing and new permissions on how your data is stored and used, plus how firms are able to contact you and what information you want to receive from them. More information about this change here http://www.wired.co.uk/article/what-is-gdpr-uk-eu-legislation-compliance-summary-fines-2018
  20. Oh Dear, Boss Key Productions, the makers of the megaflop LawBreakers have announced their new game; Raidcal Heights which is surprise surprise a Battle Royale game. Lawbreakers is probably the biggest failure in gaming - it wasn't a terrible game but it was the wrong game at the wrong time and had absolutely no appeal. It was also destroyed by its competitor Overwatch and performed even worse than Battleborn. Now they are going down the BR route which is even more brutal as Fortnite and PUBG dominate this space and with H1Z1 going F2P and Paladins releasing their own Battle Royale clone soon; I can see this game failing miserably too. I don't know why they've gone down this route I honestly don't. ye
  21. I quite like this advert which is popping up quite a lot on TV although not as much as cunting Trivago. The beer itself isn't very good apparently and has been likened to piss water.
