  1. Just finished a mission which had quite a bit of combat in it towards the end and I must say it was an absolute catastrophe. The aiming is wonky as hell, gunplay and bullet effects are terrible, AI is laughable and the mechanics feel very clunky. Jackie also kept getting in the way when I was shooting and wouldn't shut the hell up talking. My character kept colliding/clipping with bodies and debris on the floor which was very frustrating. The AI spams grenades so even in cover you aren't safe but this is also a pretty effective (and cheap) way to fight rather than wasting bullets. This aspect just feels so dated and poorly implemented.
  2. Performance seems to have improved in the seemingly more demanding areas which is very weird. Game itself has also got better but there are definitely a lot of bugs particularly with NPC's. Combat is pretty woeful and not too indifferent from Deus Ex Human Revolution. The menu interface is very convoluted and needlessly complex - takes a lot of getting used to along with all the items and their functions. Seems like they've tried too hard at times. Anyhow, I've gone more into the city now and it looks staggering at times The story is very weak - I seem to be doing things and I don't know why. The characters are also pretty bland and I'm not really sold on the writing either. Jackie seems good but I feel like I've missed something. At the start of the game it advances 6 months but the mistake they made is not communicating anything from this period because it's clear a lot of it is relevant to what I'm doing now.
  3. Done just over an hour so far and it's way too early to judge however as Chaos said above, the UI is way too busy and had similar performance issues to Phil but those improved once I toned down the shadows. Disabling chromatic abboration, film grain, depth of field, motion blur and lens flare also makes the game look far cleaner - I really hate all these headache-inducing post-process effects. I also must have pressed the action button 200 times already and I'm not too keen on the writing style so far. It does look great though and I'm sure I'll get into it. Cannot wait to see what the bugs are though🤣
  4. Nvidia Game Ready Driver just been released. Make sure you download that shit before playing. AMD drivers also out earlier I think.
  5. This is a deserved outcome with some hilarious circumstances - TLOU2 was leading by 43% to 31% in the final stages before Neil Druckmann (creator of TLOU2) dropped this Tweet; Funny how everyone who didn't enjoy this game is still a 'hater'. Anyhow, this put gamers on alert, many of whom didn't even know about these shitty awards and suddenly everyone en masse started voting for Ghosts of Tsushima instead. This made Neil Cuckman issue this Tweet; Anyone familiar with the story of Druckmann and TLOU2 will know that for weeks they falsely copyright struck down several content creators who merely talked about the game after it was leaked. Livelihoods were put at risk and some channels were permanently marked forever even for doing nothing wrong. However videos that praised the game during the leak period were untouched and even praised by the studio for outrageous double standards. Druckmann also made some horrendous accusations to individuals and encouraged friends and fans to bully them to extremes. GoT went on to win GOTY with huge victory margin and massive turnaround; TLOU2 probably would have won had Druckmann not piped up. After the result was announced, as per usual the activists pretending to be journalists of gaming were out in force blaming right wing terrorist groups and homophobic transphobes for Ghosts taking the title and anyone that bought the game being 'violent' towards women. The same accusations made against people who didn't enjoy TLOU2 as a game back in the summer. Personally I am baffled that The Last of Us Part 2 was even nominated because outside of its staggeringly beautiful world, it is one of the most embarrassing and error-strewn stories I have ever come across, with some amateur execution that defies logic along with calamitous mistakes and dreadful pacing. It's almost like fan fiction crafted by a middle school teen level of quality and probably the worst narrative I have ever seen in any piece of media. Miles Morales also got nominated and destroyed which was an equally weird inclusion. I'm not too bothered about the devalued GOTY tag but this outcome and circumstances really made me chuckle and it's another great victory for a deserved winner and gamers alike.
  6. Or they'll use it to sell the next console - the Xbox Series X X😂
  7. Halo Infinite now expected to release FALL 2021 Halo Infinite release date pushed to late 2021 – nearly a year after Xbox Series X launch | TechRadar WWW.TECHRADAR.COM Big changes are coming to Halo Infinite What an absolute shitshow - that's practically a year after its initial date. The feedback they received has probably pushed them into some serious changes especially in regards to the presentation.
  8. I love GGReloaded's video on it
  9. Great article Cyberpunk 2077 trashed over trans issues: Activist ‘gamer press’ doesn’t want good games, it wants victimhood WWW.RT.COM The hotly anticipated Cyberpunk 2077 has become a hotbed of... Once again a popular game being baselessly trashed by insane writers pretending to be videogame journalists. They only do it to peddle their own propaganda of nonsense and their sheer anger towards publishers and gamers is not hidden in the slightest. Essentially if you buy this game you are a transphobic and alt-right. If you don’t agree with them then you are a terrorist too! I really miss the days when games journalists were real gamers and qualified journalists. Nowadays they all seem to be angry activists who can’t stand someone being happy or something being successful and instead project their own issues onto everyone else or something unrelated they are reviewing. This game is by no no means perfect by the sounds of it but some of the criticisms are basically made up by these morons and when people challenge them on their nonsensical claims, they get branded an anti-trans nazi. Thankfully gamers are absolutely shredding these clowns and it’s another nail in the coffin to modern games journalism. Also Ghosts of Tshushima won GOTY at the Game Awards and these writers were accusing people who didn’t vote for TLOU2 as being right wing homophobes😂
  10. Another one bites the dust TWO DAYS LATER WHEN CAUGHT...
  11. Seven Enhanced FREE on Humble Get Seven: Enhanced Edition for free WWW.HUMBLEBUNDLE.COM For a limited time, get Seven: Enhanced Edition for free and keep it forever, courtesy of Humble Bundle! While supplies last.
  12. Reviews are out and the game is ranging from 7 to 10. Bugs and over-ambition seem to be severe drawbacks but it still appears to be a spectacular experience.
  13. Cracking goals for Spurs this evening! I must admit Arsenal v Wycombe next year looks like a tasty fixture😎
  14. I've recently used GOG Galaxy for the old Metal Gear Solid games and it's a pretty good client/launcher I've found. Clean interface and it does the job.
  15. Activision also recently released their figures and there were apparently 200,000,000 paying customers in the past year of Call of Duty on all platforms and Warzone has seen up to 30m players a day at times which is huge numbers. Let's say season one launches at 10m prospective players are playing Cyberpunk - Activision could miss out on $50m in just one weekend on an average spend because players are elsewhere. Usually the launch week is the big one for new content and if users have their heads buried in Cyberpunk, getting them back on board may not be hard but spending will be. They want them in the game and spending day one. The big question will be is one week enough...
  16. Activision wouldn't want season one to launch when a huge chunk of users are playing Cyberpunk. It would be a huge hole in their player counts and their pockets with microtransactions. I had absolutely no intention of playing Cold War on season one launch day or even over that weekend and I think a lot of users are planning the same. Had Cyberpunk not been delayed, they would have had a clear run but that moving to the 10th really upset the apple cart and bringing season one forward would've caused a lot of problems for players even with the content finished. A delay was the only way really.
  17. Monster Hunter movie just released in China and this scene is left in BIG OOF😂
  18. GoldenEye in real life
  19. Two huge names leaving the studio to join the rest Mass Effect and Dragon Age heads Casey Hudson and Mark Darrah have resigned from BioWare | PC Gamer WWW.PCGAMER.COM The departures leave BioWare without a general manager. Literally unrecgonisable now. Dragon Age 4 will be revealed at the Game Awards soon plus hopefully we'll hear more about the Mass Effect Remasters.
  20. Cold War Season One delayed by a week until Dec 16th. A disappointing blow to an already depleted product but it was clear they were gonna get bummed by Cyberpunk on the same day otherwise. Definitely a business decision.
  21. May grab this as a souvenir Cyberpunk 2077 is getting a massive 464-page strategy guide at launch | PC Gamer WWW.PCGAMER.COM That's a lot of official strategy.
