For the first time ever, I will not be getting a new console either day one or even within the first few months. There is no need to pay £70 to play an old gen title like Assassin's Creed Valhalla when I can get it on PC for £36. Both consoles have a very limited selection of release titles too. I'd rather wait and then pick up a better version of the consoles i.e PS5 'Slim' for instance rather than being stuck with a first gen unit all the way or having to upgrade to a new model. I had my PS4 since 2014 and it took 4 YEARS before quality games began to release. When I look back at the shite I had - Killzone Shadowfall, Infamous Second Son, Watch Dogs, FIFA 14, Remasters galore - it was just a waste of money and it wasn't until God of War did the games truly begin to shine. All the other multi-platform guff I had on PC for much cheaper. I think the PS5 looks very good and Demon Souls will be an amazing launch title but I'm not sure if it's viable yet. Let everyone pre-order and then just pick up a better unit in the future. If the cooling is as bad as it is on the PS4, I may never pick up one at all though.. -

If you're gaming in 1080p then it'll last many more years but if it's 1440p then the card will probably only have another couple before you'll be gaming with barebone settings and missing out on all the lavish new graphical features. If you go up to a 3070 then that'll give you a good few years of 2K at the very least with a strong performance return and the RTX extras.

Exactly the same as last year which was the same as FIFA 19 which was the same as FIFA 18 which was not too indifferent to FIFA 17 which was very similar to FIFA 16 which was basically just FIFA 15 which was a slight improvement on FIFA 14. Basically £70 for a patch

From interviews earlier this year, the PS5 will have a 825gb SSD and it also supports additional third party storage however only certain types will be compatible to maintain speed consistency and the correct size also applies. This could end up being an additional £150-240 looking at comparable 1tb drives and any official ones may not be much cheaper either. The way it's going, people will need a separate drive just for Warzone alone😂 I think 3rd party controllers will also be widely available at launch and after but many first gen ones may miss the benefits that the official PS5 bad offers until more development is done on them in the long run. I don't believe PS4 pads are compatible with the new console so that would also render all third party ones obsolete too.

I've done a bit of research into this console last couple of days and on the face of it, it may seem a very attractive purchase at such a low price however I don't think this is the case. Firstly it's only 1440p and despite the potential 120fps, it's nothing gaming hasn't seen for nearly 6 years and a step backwards for those using the XB1X or those looking for improvement across the board on that. This is also an all-digital console yet the SSD is only 500gb so expect to be able to store no more than 3 games at a time. There is also expected bottleneck issues going forward, so even with these specs, games may not reach the consoles potential. This means many titles may only be 2K/60 and the unit becomes dated after only a couple of years. I do think this is great business by Microsoft because it almost guarantees that they get paid off twice because people at some stage will have to upgrade to a XBSX or a future variant. Rather than someone buying the first gen console and keeping it throughout like some that owned the Xbox One VHS version, this format allows them to bait people in and then still get paid off full whack down the line. This does not bridge the gap between both generations IMO and just like the Xbox One S and the SAD, it's a bloody waste of money. People would be better off saving and sticking with the current gen or taking the full plunge on a Series X.

Rumours of a 3060 also being announced soon that is very similar in power to the 2080. Should also be priced nicely if the 3070 is anything to go by. Still waiting on confirmation of the 3070ti.

I've watched stacks of feedback from various content creators so far and this is the general gist:- - Visuals are decent with plenty of neat next gen-type effects but not a major step up graphically - Storestreak system is a bad idea where poor players can benefit but seasoned ones can thrive even more - New VIP mode is hit and miss - Vehicles are quite OP but can be destroyed with ordinary weapons - Wildcard additions are way too generous - Some weapon animations when moving look cumbersome, clunky and awkward - Movement feels more like WW2 than the recent fluid BO games along with the refined BOTG MW - TTK is pretty good - not as slow as BO4 but not rapid like MW - Quickscoping is way too easy - Larger modes not as enjoyable as the standard 6v6 - Footstep audio is good but the weapon sounds and general vibe is rather drab PC gameplay also released with next-gen comparable specs

Some more - I kind of get the impression that the content creators dislike this game but none have the balls to really speak up and tell it how it is. Everything seems so muted and flat with the reception and it's clear there are some major issues.
