  1. Ubisoft have announced a new F2P The Division game Playtest registrations go through here https://register.ubisoft.com/division-experience/en-US Here's everything contained within the franchise past, present and future
  2. Can't believe this thread is from way back in 2017! New gameplay today and it looks very good
  3. I think they started losing the plot with the franchise from 5 - that was like an arcadey co-op title with a combat-heavy focus and no real story. 6 was an abomination and then there was all this fringe titles for handheld systems and spin-offs. I can't believe they followed-on so badly after the fine work they did in RE4. It feels like they were rebooting the series and becoming more grounded with 7 but instead turned it more into the usual corridor-horror with some tacked-on RE sterotypes. That still was a decent game but we already had so many of those from Amnesia to Outlast. It was a fresh Resident Evil but nothing we hadn't seen a million times over in recent years prior.
  4. Reviews are out and there are plenty of 8's but it's clearly nothing groundbreaking. A few are also saying the game ends up as a Call of Duty by the end with so much exhausting and more prominent combat scenes. I saw one in a maze-like temple area and it looked a total clusterfuck of a shitshow. Journalists are usually very generous towards bands like this too and from some of the comments made in these reviews, it sounds like a slightly above average game at best with lousy combat and flawed design. Disappointed but hey ho, that's £50 saved!
  5. The PS5 version of Wreckfest I believe costs an extra $10/£10 for the upgrade and is available in June. If you don't buy this, you continue with the PS4 version on the PS5 without the upgraded features. I don't believe THQ have announced the dual compatibility between console generations however I would estimate that you wont be able to crossplay and will have to downgrade (if available) or not upgrade at all. For £10, that is solid especially if you land it free on PSN!

  7. The PC market is massive for Battlefield and they probably determine that many people who wont have access to a next gen console may have a PC to fall back on regardless. I'm definitely glad it's a current gen title as that shows some ambition rather than it being held back and then simply forward-ported.
  8. Probably because Treyarch have recycled so much in the last decade, it's likely not seen as viable that they remaster any old games even if it's just the campaign portions. I would love to see a BO1 remaster though! The only reason COD 4 was initially remastered was to bail out Infinite Warfare from potentially horrendous sales figures and these remasters are now seen as calendar filler for Activision where they can be paid off twice rather than a bonus and something nice for the community. I already paid £20 for MW2CR and it'll probably cost another £20-25 for the MP and then they'll want £20 for MW3R. Easy money really.
  9. Apparently coming out sometime this year with Q2 likely and an initial Playstation timed exclusive. Leaked from a top source. What a calamity traditional COD could be this year - MW3 campaign remastered with MW2 MP remastered and then people still playing Cawld Wore. I was secretly hoping we'd get MW3 fully remastered and then that blended into MW2 complete so we'd have all the classic MW COD's in one package. Once again, it's gonna be another lopsided mess of disappointment.
  10. Two screenshots likely form the imminent reveal trailer have been leaked - confirmed as legit too. Game set roughly 10 years into the future using current real world weapons.
  11. Pitch invasion at Old Trafford😂
  12. Just finished the PC demo and the port feels really good. Like the PS5 version and RE7 prior, the mechanics don't feel great though - very clunky and cumbersome at times and the combat really lacks something. Game looks fantastic though but even after 3 timed demos and the Maiden standalone, I'm still very undecided.
  13. The writers knew exactly what they were doing😅

  16. I grabbed the game for £9 on CDKeys and have just finished it in 5 hours 20 minutes. It's definitely very watered-down compared to RE2 and even things from the original have been omitted but I did still had a lot of fun. The horror aspect takes more of a backseat and the action comes thick and fast plus you aren't bogged down by too many traditional puzzles. I did like the pacing overall and the combat was fairly enjoyable. The locations are very linear though - typically in RE games, areas branch out and you can unlock doors to find shortcuts which makes backtracking easier but here, the areas were fairly simple and there were lots of blocked off places and inaccessible doors. Not a huge issue as everything seemed very focused and you didn't have to worry about running backwards or around the same location(s) They definitely could've done more especially as this is a mainline standalone game and I wouldn't dream of paying full price for it - £12-20 is fair for a one-time playthrough. Not interested in any extras or doing a new run. I enjoyed the story and characters too and definitely glad I got round to playing it although it's nowhere near as good as RE2 remake.
  17. I remember all the leaks back in 2018 that said Modern Warfare 2 was being remastered and the campaign was completed. The rumours dried up for a couple of years and then the game came out of nowhere. The big thing was that the leaked pre-release trailer stated it was produced in 2018 which proved that the rumours a couple of years previous were 100% correct and didn't stem out of nowhere with people just looking for clicks. I firmly believe the game is 100% finished and Activision are merely looking for an appropriate window to slot it in where it doesn't detract from CW or Warzone
  18. Picked up Resident Evil 3 for £9 on CD Keys - bit watered down when compared to RE2 and it's not as horror-focused, but still great fun
  19. I reckon they'll hold back until they see how Battlefield 6 is shaping up. If COD 2021 is absolute crap then they may throw it under the bus and hope for the best regardless. If it has some potential then they may delay and focus on Cold War Warzone in the meantime and let BF6 have its time. MW2 MP Remastered is probably good to go and has been for a long time so they may open the doors to that in a couple of months once Warzone gets stale again and for before Battlefield hits. Had Battlefield 6 not existed, they probably would've bundled WW2 Vanguard and MW2 Remastered like how MWR bailed out Infinite Warfare. Activision have certainly got some tactical decisions to make these next few months..
  20. My understanding is they want Warzone to be based on the current Call of Duty at that time so if the next game is based in WW2, it will revert to that eventually. It sounds like they'd rather use new content rather than bring back old stuff for this mode to keep it remaining fresh. Bit risky if people hate the new map or game it's built on, but drive space is probably another factor as you say and they probably just want to keep things as simple as possible.
  21. Possible we wont even see a new COD this year If it's as bad as what's been mooted, then it's for the best and I think most people will be happy for it not to release at all.
