Sorry misinterpreted that. These unique guns will be unlocked for campaign and you can change your load outs. So if you wanted to redo certain missions you can go into the menu and change your whole load out using those guns that you have found.

It did feel like DMZ. But I did finish the campaign. Any of the orange loot boxes you opened you received a unique weapon that will carry forward to multiplayer. Plus the unlocks for each mission you complete you get rewards.

Thanks. I have done it both ways and it still does not work for me.

Probably different based off of location. There are a lot of lobby's with ground war in my region. Which could explain why you don't see many ground war lobbies in your region. Probably not a popular game mode.

Either way. It is what it is. I only played Ground War. That's how I achieved all of my long shots with exception to doing SMG's. I just now started my SMG camo journey and getting some of the launcher medal achievements for using gold or platinum camo.
I use to like HC mode but not playing the maps much I don't know them like prior CoDs.

Go play Ground War. You will get all of your long shots there.

Well that was a bit of understatement as I realised last night I'm halfway through Polyatomic now with 25/51 done.
I probably could have finished all Polyatomic's by now but slowed down as, while unlocking Polyatomic, I've been making sure I've completed the gold and platinum mastery challenges too. So I've unlocked Polyatomic on guns but carried on using them to get another 100-200 kills with it. I haven't done the Polyatomic mastery though as I figure I'll do that when I go for Orion.

It was Meh. But I got it anyways. I really liked the MW2 maps for the most part and I am hoping that I enjoy Zombies. The last blackops that all I played because I disliked the MP so much.
If not that's the way it goes. If I get 5-10 hours of enjoyment out of it, it about the same as going to the movies, games, theatre so I am ok with

I think you can carry over paid bundle guns and skins but MW3 will have it's own selection of base weapons. I'm not sure if MW2 progressed base weapons carry but certainly paid-for content is. If base weapons are available with progression attached along with the bundles on top then that could have a dire affect on the basic MW3 weapon pool is my concern and as per usual, the developers are very vague about this.

Who else thought that the Stryker SMG is soooo good? Also the MCW (ACR) is so good too. Anyone else like the certain guns from the beta?

One issue I have found is recognizing enemies and friendly. It's very faint to tell when you are in the heat of battle. I have found shooting friendly quite often. Hopefully that will be more recognizable later on.

I'm liking the movement. Like the handling. Just trying to figure out the attachments and "perks" based off of gloves, boots and other equipment. Only about four games in and still getting a feel for it.

Been enjoying RL a lot, it's always been my go-to game but I'm glad a few FGers are starting to play it regularly too.
Nice goal @crippled_viper!
Need to remember to record and upload a few of mine.

I've done a few tournaments. Gotten pretty lucky to be a tournament winner.
Thanks @GazzaGarratt

Anyone tried those tournaments at all? Never seemed to spot one open when I've been on but thought they might be good fun to try. I also don't know why they can't make Chaos 4v4 competitive too. Yeah, there is more unpredictability in it but its still the same game so can't see why it wouldn't hurt. Maybe the games at the Elite level last forever perhaps? Who knows.
Great goal anyway Matt @crippled_viper!

Been playing some Rocket League with others. But I was able to capture this.
*To add links into the post is not loading a video. Not sure why this keeps happening for me. But I haven't had it work yet.

crippled_viper reacted to Greboth in Tips to make you faster
As we've got a few more faces racing who are new to the game / series, I thought I'd do a small update to this.
Firstly, a couple tips about the HUD
1. Gear indicator
This is the gear the game thinks you should be using for the next corner and will flash red when the game thinks you need to brake for the corner. In my experience, it's too conservative and will always tell you to brake too early and mostly to use a gear 1 lower than actual. However, it acts as a good starting point if it's a track you don't know and as you get more familiar you can start pushing your braking point later
2. Throttle position
GT7, much like GT Sport, the lower the Traction control (TCS) you can use the faster you'll be. Though it's always important to remember, lower TCS will save you 1-2 seconds a lap but set it too low and spin, that'll cost you more like 20-30 seconds. You can however do a little practise of using lower TCS as the throttle position goes white, as in the screenshot, to show you're at 100% throttle but if you engage TCS, a portion at the top will turn red to show how much the game is limiting your throttle. If out of every corner you turn it red, try to be a little more gentle and ease on to the throttle. If you never turn it red, try turning down your TCS. It's not quite that simple as at lower levels TCS cuts in later so you can be more aggressive with the throttle before it activates but it's a small part of the picture of if you're over-driving the car.
3. Driving assists
Which nicely leads on to driving assists. I think Phil mostly disable these on the server due to a certain Mike incident. However, much like TCS, they turn red when the assist is active and again, like TCS, activation of an assist will generally cost you time in GT7 (ABS it the exception to this rule*). So again, if you're constantly activating these over a lap, try being smoother, easing the stick to steer rather than 0 - 100% steering instantly etc.
*ABS is the exception to this rule - technically speaking ABS does also slow you down too BUT it's incredibly hard to threshold brake without locking up. Lock up - and you'll be slower. Don't brake quite as hard to avoid locking up - you'll be slower. There's a tiny tiny margin in the middle where braking without ABS is faster. So keeping it ABS at default will overall make you faster as you'll be far more consistent.
Smoothness
I've mentioned this a couple times and I want to explain some of the theory behind it - Slow is smooth, smooth is fast. Often times you'll a lap where you're on the edge and you have to really work the car will be slow and the laps that feel slow will be your fastest. Keeping the car balanced, with little to no understeer or oversteer, will mostly feel slower but is considerably faster. Now the question is how to achieve this smooth is fast - this can be broken down in to the 3 areas of a corner; braking, turning and accelerating. In a perfect world, each should only be done once - brake before the corner and come off the brakes as you turn in, turning to the maximum lock required for the corner at the apex, then start opening the steering as you feed on to the throttle. If you needed to get back on the brakes then you braked too late, if you get on the throttle before the apex you braked too early, if you need to change steering input you turned in too early or too late, if you need to counter steer on corner exit you got on the throttle too early or too sharply.
I'm not saying you should be thinking all this all the time but it's something to keep in your mind while practising or watching a replay of your laps. As you go round the lap, make a mental note of things such as braking too early for turn 3 and too late for turn 9. Then the next lap, make small steps to correct these on the next lap while making mental notes of thing for next lap. Basically small incremental changes each lap can equal a decent improvement on overall lap time.

I am led to believe after watching Nero all mw2 weapons will carry over into mw3 and all the attachments you've unlocked plus skins etc. Wether you use them is upto you. @Plumbers Crack

This will definitely be the sweatiest COD to date and SBMM is already heavily tuned up in the beta it seems. It'll be even worse on release because the whales will be armed to teeth with their P2W bundle weapons which even nerfed, are still better than the base weapons. I think users can carry over their skins too, so day one you'll have people dressed up like Barbie and Godzilla running around with their weapon of choice from any one of the 15+ £25 bundles previously bought. I think this could be a bad experienced even for seasoned returning players that haven't played for a while.
Another interesting thing is Activision have merged MW3 with MW2 and Warzone on Steam to form a centralised Call of Duty AppID. They've basically done this to swerve any player count scrutiny for the multiplayer portion meaning they have effectively closed and DMCA'd every API at the expense of MW3 appearing as DLC ironically. Too bad they didn't strategically centralise the entire new era Modern Warfare 2019, MW2 and MW3 into a collective package so users could cross-play maps across games but instead have made a knee-jerk decision to do it just to cover up any potential dips in popularity.
