Weirdly, one that sticks out is the Cricket World Cup final England vs New Zealand. Insane game. Scores level and tied at the very end, which is rare in itself but then the Super Over was effectively ending level too but England winning on countback for Wickets.
 
So many random things happened. Bear in mind our captain Stokes is a broken injured man through it all, and to top it all off, England actually ended up as the winner. I accidentally punched my ceiling jumping up in celebration 🤣
 
From just under 5 minutes, it is absolute carnage.
 
 

Apologies for the video quality but it was quite a while ago.
St Etienne had a certain Mr Platini playing for them. This was my first "European Tour" and it was almost a bucket list destination. That was after hearing the "Green Roar" against Liverpool FC on a tinny tranny in the '70's. The green roar was quite muted as the game went on and the home support melted away as the fourth goal went in 
 
IIRC the away support for that match was about 400. The coach trip was 18 hours each way with two drivers hot shopping. Despite all the fan problems of the time, there wasn't a single arrest at any of our EUFA Cup away games.

Football? Oh go on then. There's so many, probably why we love the game so much.
 
But this following 2 minute montage just reminded how much I was so behind the England team in 2021. That was a magical day. A time where everyone doesn't believe we can beat big teams. That Southgate can't do it. That Kane can't do it.
 
What a day that was. I'm literally tearing up watching it all over again. And again. And again. This is what we live for. ❤️
 
 

Can't see it being dropped. We can't be the only league without it when you go to Europe and big international tournaments it will be on I would suspect.
 
Let the teams have 2-3 calls for VAR through the game that can pause the game up to 3 minutes at a time. Works in other sports but doesn't take the responsibility away from the man in the middle that everyone has to accept their decisions.

Mine is the 2008 Wimbledon final. Was actually the first Wimbledon I ever watch properly and the Nadal Federer final for me is the best sporting event ever, so glad I saw it as it happened

Microsoft are the new EA; buy loads of studios and when they don't make billions just close them down.
After they shut them down one of the MS execs came out and said they want to focus on smaller games. The type of game that Tango had just made with Hifi Rush 🤦‍♂️
Game Pass just isn't sustainable and MS seem unable to work out what to do to fix it, apart from putting the price up.

Studio closures to cut costs, failing game pass and Phil Spencer going against everything he stood for. Sounds like an absolute shambles.  The fact Bobby Kotick got a near $400m payoff is absolutely nuts. I did predict that all this would happen in the Microsoft/Activision takeover thread and how it would be a catastrophe for gamers and developers. Funnily enough, not even the shareholders are seeing a benefit of it yet!

I've now read that Sony seem to have still not made the game re-available in the 177 countries they are not in so even though PSN linking was made optional again, I don't think this is the end from a Sony perspective. I do think things can change in games over time, especially in live service ones like this one but clearly if they knew this before as an option that may happen then all they had to do was communicate it. Mental how many things fall over in the world just because someone didn't say something at the relevant time.

This was my point Lee, however I think the issue that James has explained is that this wasn’t an original part of the game and now that it’s been sold all over the world, it would be terrible to then say they can no longer play the game.

Mental that all the teams at the bottom of the Championship won on the final day. I don't think I've ever seen that, you'd have expected at least one to falter but all 4 involved won!

Funny thing is I actually agree with your point and everything you’ve said about it.

There has been an update for this game so I'll boot it up later this evening. It needs a lot of work on optimisation and even with low settings makes my PC work its arse off. Fantastic game otherwise.
 
I actually went back on Tarkov after their backtrack, which runs like a dream..
after lots of years of optimisation tbf

I wonder how many people will change there stream reviews after this?
 
Happy for the fans and developers who didn’t want this change.
 
However, it did seem quite petty to me that people didn’t want to sign up for an account to play a game.
 
This is exactly what you have to do to play any EA game online, and I didn’t see the difference between that and this.
 
It's probably just more that it wasn’t a thing at the start and they instead rolled it out after people had already been playing it for months.

I don’t appreciate your tone with this response.
 
However if that is the case that’s pretty shit, I just thought this was a verification wall they were adding (hence why I brought up EA). If this is the case it makes no sense. Why would you get rid of that many players?
