I mean. Can't be worse than contest mode, right?

Happy birthday to @jordie1892 and @Plumbers Crack ! Hope today is as awesome as you want it to be!

I think our first raid on PC went well! And, it seems like the 11AM ET/4PM GMT on Saturdays works for everyone. Only exception is that my next 2 Saturdays are a bit full with other plans. I'll still post a Destiny 2 PC event, but you guys can decide on what you want to do during those times. I think just getting the rest of us adjusted to playing on PC would be a good idea anyway. I should be back on schedule for July 24th. (Side note - my next 2 Sundays are MMA free with a schedule change... so I'll be around for our usual PlayStation raids on Sundays for those two days)

I want a Dragon Age 4 like I want a Days Gone 2 or a second season of Jupiter's Legacy or a second season of Yona of the Dawn or a third season of Seraph of the End, etc. I want it. But, I am highly realistic that it will never happen. BioWare's swan song was Mass Effect Legendary Edition. I think BioWare fans need to accept that. The video I posted and the announcement of no DA4 reveal should be enough evidence to never expect the game to come, or even if it does as a happy surprise, it will not be what it was envisioned to be. It will most likely be another confused game like Andromeda and Anthem with the numerous "starting over" issues. Again, the original idea of Andromeda and Anthem was pretty stellar. The mess that was released was... well... you can't expect a fish to win a land race, and you can't expect a cheetah to excel at flying. Just sayin'.

I find that my tolerance for anime hack and slash games is relatively low, and this is coming from someone who enjoys anime. But, that said, I think I might check it out if you are enjoying it!

@Tar-Eruntalion 's first raid! That was pretty awesome especially as some of us were getting reacquainted with keyboard/mouse for D2. Thanks @crispymorgan and @Ajay for hopping in and tag-teaming! Extra kudos to @TurboR56Mini for playing team captain, @Riff Machine for taking some of the more difficult roles like blocking templar teleports, and @Bluebear for always being up to take on new roles and stuff 🙂 If people are up for it, we can keep this time slot for PC raids. I'm home by 11AM ET/4PM GMT to do it.

I mean... he does have a PS5 at the gym... lolol.

If my MMA coach changes his mind on training for Sunday, I'm in. Otherwise, I'll be at MMA.

Ecstasy. Regular tab the first time. Double tab the second. Both Playboy. I had various groups of friends who never interacted with each other. My drug friends were in deep. They were honestly just trying to help me through a traumatic time and didn't want me to be all PTSD and stuff lol. They didn't know better, and I didn't care. Shit was a blast for me lol. People can experiment if they want, I feel. Just know your sources lol.

Yay! Thanks for the run! Awesome to have @Mazzer66 and MrSwainey101 join! Hope to see you both on for more raids 🙂

MCU - Shang-Chi and The Legend of the 10 Rings Trailer
RenFengge replied to LordBaguette's topic in Movies, TV & Music
I finally watched the new trailer... and I'm so excited for this movie. Especially on getting to learn the MCU origin story of Shang-Chi since he doesn't really have much of one in the comics. -
I've blocked/forgotten large swaths of WoW from my brain. Been a bit lol. This... this is why I do not mess with WoW or FFXIV or more immersive MMORPGs. I mentioned originally that I am quite self-aware. Thus, I know my limits. I know what's going to cause me to cross the line, so I don't wander too close to it. As a teenager, I was introduced to a certain drug. I took it twice. I knew I liked it all too much, and told my friends and anyone else to never ever put it in front of me again. To this day, I still want it. It's still on my mind. I still have only positive feelings about it. I know that if offered to me, I would take it. For online games, it is the same thing for me. I do not touch WoW or FFXIV. I joke that no one would see me again for a long time, and I do somewhat mean that. I played Neverwinter Nights back in the 90's. My goodness, I would sneak to our computer room, cover the modem to shut it up, and play... only to be scolded later on the internet bills lol. Games like WoW and FFXIV... games that are incredibly in-depth and not really so much of a "here's the same 5 activities to do every week" and more of an active world... I'll get lost in them. I scoff at spending real money in Destiny 2 for aesthetic items because you can spend real money in WoW and FFXIV for useable in-game items via other markets. Pay-to-play is dangerous, but the economy of those worlds is something else. Like I said. I'm very self-aware. I know my limits. So, while I do want to load up WoW and FFXIV, I just won't... and take safety in my single player games and handful of other multiplayer games that do not beg for my attention all waking moments of my life.

Absolutely concur on that. I think we've all gone into this discussion previously and recently, especially when discussing EA. Game publisher overlords wants to monetize everything about gaming and make it a GaaS. So, we get shallow and casual games as a result. Gone are the days where there was a plethora of deep, unique games to play. The wonder of "going to pick out a new game to play" is gone. Gone are the days of going to the video game store to randomly pick out a game that looked fun and enthralling, sinking hours and days and weeks into it, then doing it again with another game... amassing a big collection of games that you could probably replay (I mean, I must have replayed A Boy and his Blob more times I can count). Now, publishers generally want something easy and sucking money out of players every chance they can get. So, we're looking now at games going down the lines of gambling. For those who are addicted or unaware of their addiction tendencies, it's not going to be alcohol or drugs or the casinos that's going to get them into crazy debt... it's going to be games that end up being pay-to-play. Somewhere in that above mess of words is a train of thought lol. Apologies on that.

My response to my mother when she came into my room that morning being all "You need to get off the computer and do something and get sleep" --> "IT'S SUMMER VACATION!!! I HAVE NO SCHOOL RIGHT NOW!" I don't know of many people who have strong willpower in shutting off Civilization at a decent hour lol.

For me, personally, I seem have a keen self-awareness when it comes to things for myself. I love my video games, there's no doubt about that. I have played to the point where I have dreams as if I was in the video game I was playing, speech bubbles and all. Once, as a teenager, I was scolded by my mother when she came into my room one morning and was shocked that I was up for over 24 hours playing Civilization. I have sometimes become a bit obsessive about a game and having it in my thoughts whenever I have a moment to spare. However, I also know when to stop. For example, during my first play through of the Mass Effect Trilogy, we had plans to meet some friends. Yes, I played the game up until we had to leave. I know when to stop. I know when to put a game away, so it does not get in the way of my actual life. Sure, there are times where I may neglect work a little to play a game... but I'm not exactly going to ignore work either. All about balance really. To @LordBaguette 's point - he's right. People have addictive personalities or not. Those who do just swap out different addictions. I've seen people trade drug and alcohol addictions for fitness. Heck, the Whole30 protocol stemmed from one of the creator's addiction. In simplest terms, addiction is about dopamine and regulation. It can be for almost anything, and video games are just another thing that our brainiacs are recognizing that can fall into it. At least with certain addictions, it can be channeled for good things. There are studies where kids who grow up with video games actually have better problem solving skills than non-gamer kids. I'd have to find it again if anyone is interested. I cited the research for my own paper on video games a while back.

Try! I was super nervous about my first raid too.. especially one outside of my usual friends. But, honestly, I think the group who will end up doing this will be really chill. No pressure. 🙂 Come. Learn. Enjoy! Get loot. We don't have a set PC raid team anyway. So, come! Plus, @TurboR56Mini and I have done it enough times... and @Riff Machine sort of as well. @Ajay has been running it on PC with his friends, so he's pretty solid in it and could teach. It will be fine. 🙂

Do you know why I work out? Because I have always enjoyed watching the athleticism of my favorite super heroes and game characters and want just a sliver of it. Also, because I really hated not being able to train with my cousins growing up since I was the only girl. Anyway. Thought I would start a thread about random fitness gear (whether it be gym clothes or actual gear). Being that we're all gamers, and I know there's quite a many comic book fans in here, I present to you... fitness gear where you can sort of dress up as your favorite comic book character. Wolverine. Captain America. Black Panther. Flash. Batman, Thor... Women's stuff supposed coming soon (whomp whomp): LOGAN S2 Bundle WWW.SUPERX.CO BUNDLE INCLUDES LOGAN S2 Premium Hoodie LOGAN S2 Premium Joggers Free Exclusive ORIGIN Tank Top Free USA Shipping Look & Feel Like A Superhero The LOGAN Series 2 Hoodie is the newest addition...

Let's get this going for our PC Destiny players! We'll probably do VoG, but we can look at DSC too for an easier PC run just to get feels for this. Feel free to put your thoughts in on what raid you want to do.

First Half of 2021 Wrap Up 3 more workouts done since the last post in here. I'll be taking a breaking from logging for a bit. Let's see if I can stick to my overall goal this way. Wrapping up the last 6 months of my health and fitness journey. In terms of the scale, I'm only down 12lbs. In terms of my clothes and overall fitness, I'm in a pretty solid place of progress. No one can guess my actual weight or come close as they tend to guess about 40lbs lighter. Again, I'm just built differently. I've always been the strongest female in any of my gyms. Never the fastest. But, I'll happily sit here in clothes that I used to wear about 10 years ago without a struggle... knowing that when I can do the last of my "shape up" it will be the most healthy slim body I've had... ever. My slimmest days are behind me in a sense that I was skinny and fit into the typical Asian standard but also weak. I'll take my additional muscle weight happily. Today was my last MMA session in my original pack. It was a good wrap up. Last week was a lot of shoulder work push-ups, pull-ups, strict presses, push presses, push jerks, split jerks), and I knew I had overworked my right shoulder - especially knowing that's the one I have to strengthen after getting the mass removed. Luckily, Jonesly is a doctor specializing in these sort of things lol. Went in the gym today, told him my shoulder was wonky. We did an assessment and agreed that today's session would be another without much use of my arm. So, we focused on a new block and check. Hilarious thing when we got into sparring. My body just did not want to use the new moves. Just revert back into what I learned in Eskrima, which is avoidance lol. Anyway, at the end, we did some breathing techniques then discussed what my week is going to look like. Which is rest and soft muscle work. No exertion. I looked at the workouts for the week at my HIIT gym, and so much of it is arms based. I guess it really it is a rest week for me then. So, there it is. 6 months down, and we'll end on a nice, relaxing note of a rest week. Back at it on Saturday with my weightlifting again, and Sunday with MMA. 🙂 Here's to the second half of 2021, and now it's time to pick a tattoo artist to work me me on my year-end tattoo!

@Diddums - I see you have a sous vide! We have the same one too. Love it, but haven't used it in quite some time. Can you tried to make brisket in it? It's just... amazing. Sous vide the brisket with the seasonings, then finish in the oven for the typical crust. And, now I want brisket.

Let's get the PC raids and players going! Let us know when works best for you to run raids. We'll go from there. If a different time works better for you and it's not listed, feel free to post in the comments.

Lol.. "taught Greydwarfs to throw better" Patch 0.155.7 Fun with AI patch. Gameplay wise this patch mostly fixes AI issues, as we tried to make monsters slightly more aggressive and attack your buildings etc. When they are not able to attack you. It’s fun for the whole family! Also it's midsummer here in Sweden, so we celebrate by temporarily making the Maypole buildable. 0.155.7 * Random save bug-fix (Solves a very unusual case of world corruption caused when shutting down) * Monster AI tweaks (More aggressively attacking structures when unable to attack the player among other things) * Open container fix (Fixes issue where you had to click a container multiple times to open it in multiplayer) * Taught Greydwarfs to throw better * Event trigger tweaks (Wolf event only triggers after Bonemass has been killed, Moder army can trigger in mountains etc.) * Long forgotten Blob event enabled * SFX volume setting fix (Used wrong DB conversion) * Maypole enabled (Happy midsummer!) * AI flee behaviour tweaks (Bosses don’t run from you anymore)

RE: all things anime... @TurboR56Mini wasn't home yesterday, and I did not feel like playing much after the gym. Well, I did, but Mimi wanted me to stay downstairs with her. Decided I would surf through our streaming services to see if there was an anime that looked interesting to binge watch and fell on Demon Slayer - Kimetsu no Yaiba. I think I'm up to episode 8. So far, so good. Definitely a good binge watch. I don't think it's as deep or as heartbreaking as Sword Art Online is for each's respective first season, but I can definitely get into it. Found out that there's also a movie coming out tomorrow on Funimation, and there's a stage play/live action version? Seems like I hit the jackpot lol. If anyone else has watched it or read the manga, would love to hear your thoughts! 😄
