Italy have looked pretty good all tournament. England deserved to be in the final. It was always going to be a tight game. England started well, but I think Italy were better on the night overall. England looked really defensive and the energy and creativity going forward wasn't as good as the Italian counterparts. I feel sorry for the lads that missed the pens, Gareth is a helluva nice guy too! What he has built for England is tremendous and deserves credit. Being Scottish I don't have any hate against the England team and manager. They are all professionals, however the small minority of English hooligans always spoils it for me. If you haven't seen this, it's disgusting. Footage before the game of English fans who didn't have a ticket. They had sneaked in and ambushed Italians as they made their way to their stand. This is why I can't fully support England, this behaviour sickens me and no doubt many others. This was before kickoff as well. 2. @Diddums A very well written and true post. I work in retail on a shop floor. I lost faith last year in March on the original lockdown. Simple rules like distancing and following a one way system between aisles so people aren't making face to face contact. Folk be strolling in the aisle the wrong way, "Oh Sorry Mate Didn't know, As They Grab Their Shit" There was fucking markings on the floor and tape everywhere. Even individual boxes for distancing. Some people queuing patiently at the top of the aisles to get supplies for their families. Some arsewipe cutting in. Jumping queues and playing dumb at the checkouts. Don't get me started on restrictions. People would grab their quota and comeback later for more, and or send in their spouse and double up on limits. Hearing customers boosting to someone that they have been to 4 or 5 shops already and have an online order coming later. I even heard 2 woman chatting about using baby formula for having with their tea and coffee in the caravan holiday during travel bans. Because the marvel had run out. The country up and down is fucked up because of the unreasonable people that reproduced and taught them to be cunts. I missed out on all 3 scans for my baby last year. Yet 6 different households were able to meet at the pubs. Some people haven't even had jabs, others still waiting on a 2nd. People have given up and sick of it all. Can't blame some of them, look at the people making the rules like Matt Hancock, Boris, Dominic Cummings. That bint of a Scottish healthy secretary. It starts from the top. Idiots and terrible role models. I want to believe the world would be a better place. It's just not!

Your right Phil, the original meaning was because it was Euro 96 and the tournament was being hosted in England. It's more like you say a hopeful ode and nod to football coming back to the land it was made famous and created. I'm sure you as many others are more than aware of this. The arrogance from the media and fans in general is the thing that bothers me. Not anyone from this forum, just want to clarify. 😁
  4. A thing I'm very familiar with, not something I've had in many years. I wouldn't say I've had hundreds of them, probably a good few thousand. That's only pill form, the MDMA "off the rock" Crystal form is even better. Pills can be cut with more shite before pressed. Anyone can buy a pill press and make them It can happen through social circles, availablity, peer pressure. I've never been forced to take anything, everything I've had was my own choice. Thanks Phil 🤭 Now I'm not going to derail the thread anymore or go into details about the extensive and vast assortment of chemicals I've enjoyed(Abused) in the past, unless asked to. But I've never been totally addicted to something apart from Marijuana. Again it's something I could take or leave, but always wanted it. If you moderate and cut down intake it's something you can still enjoy, but not be consumed by. So I'm pretty much in the same boat as most about gaming addiction. I've played many different games and enjoyed large periods of obbsessing about games. Gaming has always been free time. Wether it's an hour or 3 hours I have spare, it's never got in the way of work or I've never turned down social opportunities with friends to stay in and play a game. Plenty of occasions gaming back in the day would be social in person. Playing Goldeneye 4 player on N64. Playing Tony hawk's with a friend, racing games, Halo. Sometimes just passing a pad around trying to beat a nails boss.
  5. @RenFenggeOut of curiosity what drug was it you tried twice as a teenager and never touched again? If you don't want to say it's perfectly understandable La. I would like to say I have "dabbled" with various drugs over the years, but dabbled is such a weak term. Gorged and binged and overindulgence would be more the appropriate term. I'm not proud of the things I've taken so frequently in the past, but I'm not ashamed of it either. It's safe to say I've had plenty of good times. Not many bad times either which is lucky I guess. 😃

Holland beat by Czech Republic, that's a bit of an upset. Good for Czech, definitely a bit unexpected. The Dutch got a man sent off and never got much going. Excellent result for Czech.
  7. International Track And Field was iconic. I remember being at a friend's playing it on PS1. We used to rub a glass marble along square and circle for full speed. Some of the triple jump and high jump records we set were nuts! 😄

Scotland were a bit unlucky, we created a few good attempts in the second half. Had good spells of possession, but sadly couldn't do much with it. Czechs looked comfortable and I don't deny them the win. It's just disappointing after a 23 year wait to a major tournament. Their goalie made a couple of good saves and we hit the bar at one point. I liked that we tried and gave an effort to get back into it. We really needed something tho, a point would of been nice. Sadly in my opinion, Czech were our best hope of points. I believe Croatia and England are stronger teams. At least we made it to the tournament, it's great to be a part of it for a change. 🙃
  9. I want to put it out there first that I'm Scottish. Now I'm not anti-english, but I can't handle John Barnes rapping. It's one of the single most cringey things I've ever seen or heard. It's up there in my top 3 of cringe for sure. 😜
  10. Tom MacDonald is terrible, I can't enjoy his music. He always plays the victim, bet he carries his own body chalk.
  11. That Theatre is badass man, much respect! Good that you returned and made it back here. I'm from the old days. I was XBOX gang back in the MW2/MW3/BO/BO2 days. I'm sure you were PS2. I remember seeing you around. Those hotrods as well, a true artist. And the garden is epic as well dude.
  12. Nintendo Sega Megadrive PlayStation Xbox Xbox 360 PS4 My younger brother had a Gameboy, Sega Saturn, PS2, PS3 I had friends that have owned Sega Mastersystem, SNES, N64, Dreamcast, GameCube. So between my brother and friends it fills the gaps I didn't have. I got to play most consoles to some extend minus the older ones like Spectrum, Amstrad, Jaguar, Atari etc
  13. Wow that's some garden, mines looks pretty rough and neglected at the best of times. It needs totally redone anyway. But that's a majestic spot to hangout dude.
  14. Sounds like fun! Happy birthday Gary! Hope you have a good one bud
  15. Is that you saying some members of the party chat are louder than others? 😁
  16. Hey man welcome back, I'm an old timer and came back a couple of years ago. I played on XBOX 360 in MW2 days here and was aka MDMA RAMPAGE UK. Your name seems familiar, good that your here again. Still a few OG's kicking about and some great people in general that have joined over the years!
  17. We were on freeserve, 1p a minute. As soon as the house phone went. Instant D/C. Absolutely sucked, it's all we knew back then. The sound that shitty modem made when connecting was iconic as well. My brother still plays AOE now and again. He holds a 2k+ rating and is probably in the top 3% of about 60k that still play it.
  18. The nostalgia is epic. Aoe2 in particular brings me back. I used to play it with my younger brother, hundreds of hours. We played it online back on the dialup days on the old eso servers with elo ratings. We both invested a lot of time in the Age of Mythology series that came after it as well, especially online. RTS Clan tournaments as well. Those games were Masterpieces, fucking Masterpieces I tell ya!
  19. Funny, but sad. I mean if it leads to invisibility it's a horrible experience. I mean even if Warzone was running smoothly with no glitches and perfect balancing throughout, I still wouldn't play it. It's just not for me, I feel sorry for the folks that Warzone is their primary experience or outlet of gaming in COD. There is just so much wrong with the franchise. I get terrible times playing MP Cold War with heavy SBMM and lag sometimes, but it's nothing compared to the shit that goes on in Warzone. Atrorious really with the amount of money and income the game churns. It's a perpetual experience of forever failure. It's almost impossible for Warzone to be in a good place.
  20. Sounds like a good idea for Warzone definitely. If it's a major problem just get rid of it. In multiplayer it's a bit of a crutch for me for sure.

    Ahoy :)

Welcome aboad matey. I love that you used Ahoy, it's so underutilized these days. There are a few folk here on PC. Slowly over time as people get older and have more money or space available, it becomes a thing to build or buy a decent PC for gaming. I have neither money or space, so I'm on PS4 which is all good. Nice that you found it to "The Forum" The place to discuss many different topics with some interesting people. I'm sure you will enjoy it here and fit in perfectly fine!
  22. Ping should always be the most important thing regardless of SBMM and other implementations. Nobody enjoys lag, and if you do your a straight up Psycho lol! I think SBMM definitely needs toned down a little bit for sure. Everyone is punished by it on all skill levels. From my experience I have good games, bad games, average games sure that's fine. It's how some of the matchmaking and team balancing equates that makes it tough. It's hard to level guns up and do challenges for some of the guns when everyone is sweating with Diamond 74u's. If your not using meta guns you will get shat on in some lobbies. I don't like using a gun when I already have gold/diamond. I enjoy progression of the next gun. I've been in matches where 3 separate enemies have dropped harps and your team are getting smashed. Your the only one on the OBJ. Your not doing that bad, but it's a struggle to carry the team when at least 2-3 enemies are actually better than you are and they are using the meta guns.
  23. There is a few lads at work that play Warzone, they all swear by the Kar and the FFAR. The FFAR in particular surprises me as it's underwhelming since they butchered it after launch in MP retrospectively.
  24. WaW was my very first COD, it will always be dear to my heart. Started off a noob with a .70 KD and getting smashed for a few months. By the end of its year I had doubled my KD to 1.40 and was a 10 prestige. Was able to get dogs consistently and was a competent player. I played COD 4 a few months before MW2 to prepare for MW2. MW3 was awesome because it's the COD I spent the most time with the FG forum folk. Destruction INC [DI] Chris, Tommy (Both Barrels) and many other fabulous people on XBOX 360 at the time. But yeah that Pacific era is what I crave. Modern, Futuristic, WW2 has been saturated and done to death. Like I say the maps were iconic and the guns were great and unique.
  25. I agree with a lot of what others have mentioned already. I might be in the minority here, but I would fancy the next COD more in the World At War style. I want a Pacific/Gulf Pearl Harbor style with mostly Japanese and American guns. A few German, Russian and British weapons sprinkled in. No AK-47,74u or MP5'S. I want a simple 3 perk loadout and I want weapon attachments to feel specific and I DON'T want the guns to be generic with mono surpressors and agent field grips and no stock on everything. Launchers and specials get attachments. It's ridiculous you can run 6 perks so you are immune to explosives/tactical equipment. You get scavenger and another perk whilst also being silent and being off the radar. I think WaW is underated, the maps were awesome and some of the maps had tanks and they weren't a problem like more recent COD'S. I don't want cheesy specialist operators and advantages that heavily change the flow of the game. Boots on the ground please. I don't know why Treyarch haven't used WaW maps, only 2-3 in all this time. Whilst BO1 Firing Range, Summit,Jungle, Nuketown are constantly done. Even BO 2 maps haven't been done much. So yeah simplicity is the key for me as well and lot's of maps at launch and through the life cycle. 2-3 new maps every season.
