Surprisingly I actually found myself enjoying the fencing a bit the other night.

I'm a fan of the winter Olympics, but I'm having trouble getting into the summer games. Been trying to watch a bit here & there but just doesn't have the appeal of the winter games IMO. And what's the deal with that horse rider trotting around doing nothing? I think they called dressage? That just about put me to sleep. I keep waiting for the horse to actually do something but all they did was slowly trot around in a circle

I'm all caught up now on Battle Bots. It's pretty decent this season I think. Looks like the drum spinners are the ones to beat this year. My biggest complaint about Battle Bots is that guy that announces the robots. Holy hell that guy and his stupid little puns makes me want to rip my ears off and shove nails in my raw ear holes just hearing him start his little gay ass intros of the teams.

I recorded the three most recent episodes of Battlebots while I was on vacation and just today been catching up on them. I totally agree with you about the drones. WTF is the point of the drones anyway, they have no real weapon at all, and all I have seen any of the drones do so far is fly around for 30 seconds then crash and get destroyed.

Funny thing man, the guy that plays house (is that his real name? hugh Laurie?) I hated house because of him...yet I saw him recently a movie or show, (cant think of the name) and actually loved his part. So now I'm gonna have to give "house" a whole new view lol.

A buddy and I were talking about this the other day. Whats the most underrated movie in recent years. I have one that IMO is VERY under rated.... Law Abiding Citizen. I loved that movie and it never got any love at all. I think the whole plot and acting was just great, yet you never even seen it promo'd at the movies!

With all this "walking dead' and "Game of thrones" stuff these days I figured this would be a good topic. Whats your fav Tv drama ever? For me, it does not get better than Breaking Bad. Best writing, acting ever on a drama IMO. Whats yours?

Not a bug, but since the upgrade my view of the site went from the normal black colors to all white. Not really an issue but is there a way I can change the site colors on my end or is it the same color for everyone?

Yeah beard was getting long and too hot with the 90f weather lately so decided to get rid of it. At least for a bit.

I'm not going anywhere. At my age I stopped playing the taking sides thing long ago. People need to realize that life happens and running a website is not always on the front burner. Running off and starting a new site isn't the answer. Talk it out and work it out, no need for people to resort to childish behavior and hurt feelings. If someone not keeping a website updated with the latest patches and such is the biggest issue in your life then I can say I sure wish my life were that simple. It already happened once with MW2, now some guys are doing it here with FG, so what a couple years from now they will do it again and abandon the site Jay set up and leave him too? Guess all that talk from some people about this place being like a family was all BS from the looks of it. I'll be here same as always. If it ever stops being enjoyable then I will stop visiting plain as that, but till that day I'm not going anywhere.

I use automatic feeders. Those dissolving ones never seem to do the job so I use ones that are battery operated and can be set for how often and how much to feed. Usually just do a big water change right before I leave and then set the feeders up and timers on light with tanks that have live plants. Works pretty well that way most times.

A 20" and a 18" smallmouth both caught & released back into the waters of the Au Sable to grow even bigger for next year perhaps.

Spent the past 2 weeks at my home away from home..the Au Sable. Had a great time with family and spent about every waking minute on the river fishing. Was a bit slower than normal this year on the fly but still managed some really nice fish on streamers and foam hoppers. Built a new 10wt rod for big pike flies and managed to put that to use on some pike as well. I have lots of pics to upload over the next few days but here's a start of them. And on another happy note....all fish/tanks made it through me being gone for 2 weeks. Only loss was one 6" female Venustus but she had some issues for a couple weeks before I even left so that was sort of expected. More pics to come but here's the start of them... more to come...

I can't remember where you are located but guessing on the other side of the pond? We've had it back on TV here for over a year now. The 2nd season of Battlebots started a few weeks ago on TV here....it's just as good as it was in the old days. Actually even a little better IMO. Some of the bots are really well designed/made. They allow drones in this years season which is pretty neat to see.
