    Updated server: Trying out Sunnydale now, server #4, ChernarusPlus. The previous one is a bit unreliable after testing today. Sunnydale has an active admin and seems ok.

    Indeed, DayZ is responsible for a lot of things 😅😍 In 2012 the dayz mod of arma 2 had a really nice forum with some cool characters, one of whom was the pied piper of diddums 🙂

    It was good to briefly meet, I'll leave it at that. First zed kill and first death 🥳 I'll look for other servers as the Hero's one seems a bit janky.

    I rarely play on Livonia map personally. The thing with DayZ is the mods, the next best map after Chernarus is Namalsk which is a winter map, and free as its a mod. If you guys wanna chat about it let me know and I'll jump on Discord

    DayZ is in some way the daddy of modern survival games and is also responsible for PUBG and those types of games etc. It's also the reason why I have a PC. It has multiple personalities and people either play it for the survival side of the game, the PVP side of the game, or a mixture of the two, where I sit. It has all the survival mechanics, the need to find and eat food, drink water, stay warm, base build, catch disease, avoid zombies and then on the other end, find military weapons and fly helicopters 🙂 It's a bit expensive on Steam at the moment but goes on sale a lot so watch out for it! If you guys get into DayZ that would be pretty cool 🙂

    I've picked the Hero's Haven server to try out on Tuesday, and I'm checking it out tonight in advance. For info: We'll do this using the DayZ Standalone launcher. DZSALauncher - An easy to use launcher for DayZ Standalone DAYZSALAUNCHER.COM Type Hero's Haven into the filter. They have a few servers. Select the US server and click on Play. It'll tell you you have mods missing and ask if you would like to install them. Then let it update. There's a bunch of mods needed which are fairly small and only one big one, which is 1.5gb. If you have chance before Tuesday, pop on and head towards Elektro if you can.

    Very annoying right now as there's stuff I want to check on DayZ tonight and can only access the web version, which itself took a few attempts. Even more annoyingly, I've just put down a deposit on the 500gb steam deck 😅 ffs

    Great night of racing last night, 12 nutters behind the wheel and all well behaved, mostly 😁 Great competition all round and little battles down the order made it really fun. Nice to meet @Kurt and look forward to seeing you and @Diddums climb that ladder.

    Everyone was looking forward to this up until the night of release. But they fucked up the release and no-one could get on. They eventually sorted out the servers but by that time had lost most of the player base and it was always empty. Plus had issues and instead of fixing them they just went radio silent. I heard it might be a free to play when re-released so I'm wondering if I should refund it now 😁

    I've set up a calendar event for next week. 8pm onwards, Tuesday or Wednesday is good for me. I'll check servers and once shared on here, I'll ask to make your way individually to Elektro before the meet up so we don't spend all night trying to find each other 🙂

    This is provisional but if not Tuesday we can also do Wednesday. We have a choice of maps but most likely Chenarus. Once I find a server I'll share details, mods required and ask you to make yourself to Elektro prior to meeting online.

    It does take a while for the shooting to get good, skills and better weapons improve it no end. I was worried to begin with but it does get better to the point where its very enjoyable. But I agree, on console it feels weak from the limited amount I've played on the Pro. The story - I play as nomad - is very slow to start with too but once a specific event happens it really kicks off. How far did you get @GazzaGarratt? Did you go far enough to meet Keanu?

    They haven't yet done the new generation upgrade yet, though that's coming soon I believe. It runs well on PS4 Pro if that's any help.

    Sure, seems the best way to go. The new patch is currently being tested by players before it goes live so kinks can be ironed out. It's a big update as they're removing Port Olisar and replacing it with a cloud city type thing, looks amazing. I also believe they're introducing their version of permadeath for the first time. There's a lot of stuff to do in game now but it needs to run well so will be interesting. Give it a week or so I reckon.

    I think, like every season of my life that from the start Spurs will win the league. And I believe that until they prove me otherwise. Hopefully that belief will survive the first game of the season 😁

    Moving back to proper football I've seen pundits suggest Spurs will be outside the top 10 this season. While that's cobblers it does make me wonder which teams will be contenders. I'd say Man Utd with Sancho look very strong and I believe there's more signings to come. Man City aren't going to sit on their laurels and Chelsea are looking at spending big too. Don't see anything from Arsenal but I imagine Liverpool will be looking to strengthen and return to the top. Haaland and his future will be interesting and a boost to any of the teams above. Not sure if Kane will be going anywhere.
