    Only played the PS5 version so far. Liked it. Movement and shooting all good. Killed some cod players and crashed a helicopter 👍 look forward to jumping on with a few ppl on Friday. It's a 2 month old build apparently and a lot of the bugs already fixed, at least that's what they say.

    Beta is now available for download on all formats. If you've pre-ordered you'll be able to play tomorrow. On Friday it's open to everyone. It's around 17gb on PS5. There's a calendar event for Friday buy I'll probably give it a go tomorrow.

    Got my head down the last couple of weeks and concentrated on getting this game completed. So glad I went back to it. The story, including the side missions, is top drawer. The choice of endings is nice too. Will go back and platinum it at some point as I'm already close and will try the multiplayer as well. But a break first as I've barely played much else.

    There's a test weekend for previous owners of the game. I played a few games and quit them all. The servers were laggy as laggy can be and team killing is the most popular sport so far it seems. You can't insta death the person who team killed you but they respawn immediately. Nice. I'll try again tomorrow when hopefully it has calmed down a bit.

    I had a quick go on the PS5, the football is ok but there's no game to play except online. Didn't realise it would be that bare boned. A mate of mine who's ranked in the top 0.5 PES players told me today he might have to go to the dark side 🙃

    Same here regarding golf, I did try the Rory one but I'll definitely download this. Hell Let Loose is a very slow paced PC game and I'm doubtful it will pull in many console players. It's only recently released so I'm very surprised to see it for free.

    Amazon have been hosting Star Citizen for a while now so they should have plentiful experience of shitty servers 😁

    I didn't see in the photos what it uses to connect. If the headphones work with a mobile phone or if they use USB, they'll be fine for PC.

    There's been a tiny update to the game today but it means the whole game has to be copied again. I believe lobby stability has been improved.

    The Microsoft Store is a good one if your son has the Xbox games pass, as with some games you can choose if you want to play them on PC or Xbox. I wouldn't buy games from there though as it's often more expensive and the platform isn't as stable as it should be. I do use it myself though for certain games and Minecraft is a Microsoft game these days so your son will be aware of it I'm sure!

    For the most part, PC players get their games digitally. You can also buy the physical disks if that is a preference, from Amazon for example. The games must usually be compatible with one of the big PC platforms like Steam. Pretty much most PC players have Steam, which organises their library of games. It's a platform much like the PlayStation one where you can see your games library, see your friends and play and join each others games. There are also many websites that sell games in keycode format that you can activate and use on Steam. Green Man Gaming for example are a great website and there's always a sale. There are other platforms, Origin, Epic, GOG, but as I say Steam is the go to for the majority of PC players for playing the games.... but not necessarily the cheapest place to buy them. Green Man is good for that, as is Humble Bundle which I also recommend as it often sells games cheaper for charitable causes. I'll leave it to the others to suggest peripherals.

    Everything @Diddums said above I agree with 100% and can't add anything. I have been looking online for alternative solutions but he pretty much covered it all!
