    For video editing, extra RAM will definitely help speed things up. How many Watts is your current PSU? You're quite right about that and will be a factor when looking at the latest GPUs.

    So, after 18 months of no wipes, looks like the next patch means back to square one. I'll lose all my money plus my only recently acquired dragonfly 😬 But that was going to happen at some point and the reasons for it are pretty good.

    I have a thing with early access games where I'm already mentally prepared. To be honest I generally just try a game out when it's first released and then hop on and off occasionally through its development cycle until the full release. So I'm happy with whatever you guys want to do.

    Not sure how much can get done in just one month, suppose that depends on what's causing the delay...but 100% prefer to play a polished game at launch. I guarantee whenever it is released it will still have problems 😁 Meanwhile, I booted up BF4 on the PS5 last night for the first time and it was even better than I expected.

    I had D&D last night so only had about am hour to play. Very happy with the player UI and shooting mechanics. Makes me wonder why Cyberpunk couldn't do it to this standard.

    That's helpful and sounds like he will play most contemporary games and need a half decent computer that will last him some years. But as I say, it's not a great time to be buying a PC as it's more expensive than usual. Would a laptop be a consideration or are you thinking desktop? What is your budget? Sorry to be asking more questions but we'll get there...

    A few of us are going to reinstall BF4 on the PS, could be good to refamiliarise with it before 2042 drops, plus it's an excellent game unlocked at 60 frames on the PS5. If you fancy it, reinstall or obtain it from EA Play and we'll have a blast🙂

    Had a bitcof a weird one with this last night. It went live just after midnight and I had it pre-installed. As always, pre-installed doesn't mean it's ready to go. It did a little update and my PC went nuts. The fans went hyper and all my cpu cores were in the 70s. My PC never goes above the 50s. GPU too was getting a work out. It was only a minute but totally freaked me out. Anyway, I jumped on the game quickly to check the shooting, that's make or break with me for some games. Shooting is top notch I must say. As is the voice acting and humour. But I only played very briefly to sort out graphics settings. Happy to report I'm getting 90+ fps on ultra settings😉

    Hi Emma, thanks for getting in touch, I'm sure we can help provide advice. First thing I'd say is that this is not the best time to buy a gaming PC. Certain chips and parts have become very low in supply, so prices are ridiculously high at the moment. So bear that in mind. Secondly, do you know what type of games your son plays? Thirdly, do you have a monitor? If not, that would be needed too, and the resolution, be it 1080p, 1440p or 4k would impact what type of PC to go for. Finally, there are sites like Overclockers that sell ready-made gaming PCs and I encourage you to check them out. If you reply to the questions above we'll be able to see what's best.

    Bethesda have got them using Denuvo, which is annoying, but even still I'm tempted to get it. Gives me Bioshock and Dishonored vibes, which is fine by me. Will look see if I can find it cheaper than £50 😉

    There'll be no fuel use in these,races as they are about familiarising with the tracks. I'll aim to start lobby at 7 30pm but ideally qualifying will be no later than 8.15pm
