  1. 40 quid on PC had decided where I'm buying it. PS5 version in a sale later on maybe.
  2. Nice review! I was worried it would be too close to Civ and be a bit jarring in that respect. I'll probably pick it up around Xmas time as I've booked holidays from work from 10 December unyil January and will have time for it. I played a bit of Civ 5 recently and I can't keep doing late nights and work the next day 😁
  3. Reminds me a lot of BF4. So much so, I'm currently reinstalling it plus all the dlc and community add ons. Honestly, "monkey see, monkey do" should be my gaming bio. The PC version of 2042 has been on sale green man gaming for Β£40 a couple of times but I've resisted pre-ordering so far.

  5. It's running the best I've ever seen it, so well in fact I keep jumping on late at night to do a few jobs. I noticed one specific bug that has been fixed that made me happy. I had to deliver some tungsten to Port Olisar. But when I went there I landed on the wrong strut. This is usually very annoying as you can't go inside and walk between struts, they're all self-contained. So you have to space walk to the other strut while carrying a crate. It used to be a 50% of dying when you land as the character would fall over and break his neck.... but I chanced it and now when you land, instead of falling over I landed very gracefully. Great qol improvement as i often make the mistake of not paying attention when I'm asking for permission to dock and end up in the wrong part of the space station. I'll be on a bit today and this week as I'm now at 250k and just 20k more to buy a dragonfly.

  8. I've been on the special edition a bit recently on PC, it's still a great game but yep they sure have milked this one. I have the Xbox 360 and both PC versions myself 😁
  9. Well done to all, another great season of racing and getting tighter all the time. Personally, I'm never touching the Gr. 4 Nissan ever again, could not compete in that class at all but it was still a lot of fun trying to get the best out of it. We'll have a few weeks of fun races before the next season starts and if anyone on PC fancies some Assetto Corsa I think we'll look to do something there as well.
  10. Must have missed a BOP update as, after some testing at Le Mans, the VW Beetle and Toyota Supra both top out at 176 miles an hour. Porsche, Nissan and Poohgeeoh all top out at 175!

DICE are keeping this to themselves for the time being, so all we know is as follows: Dataminer Temporyal has been through the recent Battlefield 2042 closed alpha and found references to persistent gear and permadeath, with Escape From Tarkov working something like a roguelike where if you die you lose all your equipment. There don’t seem to be any unique maps for the mode but Temporyal has found evidence of Orbital – the map from the technical test – having a specially modified version for Hazard Zone – which is likely to be true for other maps as well. Both Hunt: Showdown and Escape From Tarkov are PvEvP games, which means you fight both other player characters and computer controlled enemies. This appears to be the case for Hazard Zone as well, including Tarkov style boss characters. Uplink towers will allow you to call in help, like an ATV or robot dog, but enemies can also radio in for reinforcements. The goal of Hazard Zone seems to be collecting data from crashed satellites and other devices, although completing the mode appears to work more like The Division’s Dark Zone than it does Tarkov, with the ability to call in an evac helicopter.
  12. The Hardzone mode is getting talked about and there are suggestions it's going to be an Escape From Tarkov style mode where you do your thing and have to extract. Maybe a bit like the Division dark zone extraction. I'm really intrigued.
  13. Some excellent thoughts already. I'm good to go back to one league race a week. It was only because we thought Matt might be joining that meant last season was delayed and we needed to do it that way. So, I think that's decidedπŸ™‚ Endurance race thoughts mean I'll leave it out of the season and just do one event for that separately. Maybe drop teams then but keep Manufacturers. Personally I'm in favour of letting everyone choose whatever one they want, so long as they stick to it. Not sure about reverse grid as it would kind of make qualifying redundant, if you're not talking about not doing qualifying at all, as we'd suddenly find me putting in very bad quali times😁

That's a 60 minute race. What track do we want to do that on? Any other thoughts, suggestions, requests or threats of murder, let us hear them.

  18. I'm kind of the same, I get bored with them very very quickly. I always start L4D thinking this is awesome and I'm done by 30 minutes, don't need no more. CoD Zombies though for some reason I really enjoy, probably because of all the problem solving and working out what you're supposed to do next.

  20. I dunno, I think it's funny that people are getting worked up by a PR campaign. They know nothing about the game other than getting worked up by their own imaginations because the font is similar to SH and are getting click baited and raging about it. Cracks me up. πŸ™‚
  21. Looks like I expected and I'm looking forward to getting a go on it. If they don't have any issues, net code etc I think it'll be a great game.
  22. Can't seem to play solo with AI in the beta, which is annoying. Tried the PS5 version and remembered why I hate auto aim. The PC version was surprisingly enjoyable compared to what I was expecting. But I only did the first Act with some randoms, so I'll hold judgement until I either play solo or with FGers.
  23. Cheers for the update @Mikepjbell πŸ‘ Next week will be the final two races of the summer season and the Manufacturers championship...so hopefully we'll get another good turnout. Will likely go back to one league race a week in September but any thoughts on that we can discuss on here beforehand.
  24. Two good races again last night and I think we had 10 in the end for the first race, so cheers all. Two more 4th place finishes for me, although @Lurch was very unlucky at Tokyo and would have been 4th but for his penalty. James, for someone who doesn't practice you are very quick. Please keep not practising πŸ€— @Mikepjbell made me go weak at the knees at the top of Mount Panorama, i never recovered πŸ˜† @slamminbones and @crispymorgan seemed less vocal in their indignation with the car, track, themselves than usual, a good sign I think😁 @jordie1892 managed good pace seeing as he got his practice in qualifying 😬 Constantly impressed with what @JBR-Kiwi is able to do with the Beetle and @Bluebear too considering he doesn't know some tracks. Standard of driving overall is definitely improving and races getting closer but @Greboth and Kiwi are still a class apart. Special shout to @LordBaguette who managed 1.3 races, hats off sirπŸ˜…
