  1. It's in Alpha. There's plenty to do right now but it's a drop in the water compared to what it will be....you'll probably have a better experience further down the development road. Once you're ready to take the plunge you'd go for a game package like the one below, which allows you access to the Star Citizen universe, provides you a ship, a hangar, in game currency and 6 months of ship insurance. It's currently £43 GBP and I believe that if you also want the single player Squadron 42 you can purchase it as an extra for £15. If you just want the single player game I believe that's £43 as a standalone. https://robertsspaceindustries.com/pledge/Packages/Mustang-Alpha-SC-Starter Major updates will occur quarterly from now on, so we'll see what gets added in March. Face Over IP would be good but I'll settle for VOIP.
  2. I hear from tbe community that the Shoreline is laggy and dysync hell at the moment, I had an explore of it and it is flippin massive now. I didn't have any issues myself but it was just me and no scavs. For PVP or PVE I'd definitely avoid this map for the time being.
  3. Ha yeah maybe stick to 1920 or whatever it is. Make sure SSAO etc are turned off. Vsync too. Should have no issues at all playing offline. Was it Shoreline? I've not been in that yet since they doubled the size of the map this week. Customs is the best map to start off with. Sent from my SM-G955F using Tapatalk
  4. On sale for 22 sovs in PlayStation store right now. Do it.
  5. A doll, a drum, a kick up the bum, and a chase around the table. Oh yeah and my two front teeth.[emoji16] Sent from my SM-G955F using Tapatalk
  6. There's a sale on right now I think. If you're interested I'll check prices and provide my suggestion for starting up. The main 'pledge' is to access the multiplayer universe, it's extra for the single player. Sent from my SM-G955F using Tapatalk
  7. Not really surprising be honest, this is another example of the trend to rinse as much money from gamers as possible, as Bart says it's not new, and will continue unabated. For each person who finds this kind of thing unpalatable there's a hundred who won't notice or give a shit. It happens everywhere else in life, so inevitable I'd say [emoji106] Sent from my SM-G955F using Tapatalk
  8. Gimme a shout if you still have issues and I'll share my set up. They're doing some stress testing so maybe you got caught up in that. I'm lucky in that I rarely have any issues. Was that online or PVE? Sent from my SM-G955F using Tapatalk
  9. A poll of Real Madrid supporters shows they want Kane ahead of Neymar and Mbappe. Maybe in a couple of years if Spurs become shit like we were for much of my 20s he'll go there but can't see it right now. Sent from my SM-G955F using Tapatalk
  10. If you have the time there's a free pass for the game til next Thursday. I still have a key left, let me know and it's yours [emoji106] Sent from my SM-G955F using Tapatalk
  11. Funnily enough I have Elite. Barely played it and doubt I ever will 🤣 Sent from my SM-G955F using Tapatalk
  12. Harry Kane, two hatricks in his last couple of games. Already one of the best strikers in premiership history. Hats off. Deli seems to be back on form. Lamela starting to play again. There were rumours we'd be swapping Danny Rose with Luke Shaw this January but things may have changed on that front. January will be interesting. Liverpool throwing money around again, I wonder how they'll fuck up this new signing this time, defenders go to Liverpool and become shit overnight it seems. Over at MUFC Jose is complaining about a lack of funds. No words. I'll leave that to someone else. Everton looking better. Much as I dislike Sam Allardyce, I was impressed with his speech about food banks in neo-Dickensian Britain last week. Hope he's not a hypocrite and does more than just open his mouth.
  13. The nice folk at Battlestate games gave me a couple of free guns today. Guns I can't get usually until I've ranked up high enough. So that was a nice touch
  14. So, the single player game is also coming along nicely. I will have access to it as an early backer but any new players need to buy it separately. I think it's an extra £15. Looks awesome.
  15. EVE sounds more like Elite Dangerous to me but I suppose these types of games all get lumped in together. With Star Citizen there is the first person shooter element added. But yeah, it can be extremely complex. Depends on the person and how they want to play it I suppose. I might just be a miner, or a settler with a penchant for pirating when funds are low
  16. Please elaborate
  17. I've got Sacred 2 on Steam, kind of a Gauntlet type game, in an open world.
  18. I have keys which will allow access and download of EFT. The free event lasts for a week. PM me if you fancy giving it a go.
  19. PC version has had an update, much needed. I had my first game the other day for months, came fourth, undone by lag. That and the rubber banding need to be sorted out, so I hope this patch is on the right path. Players,Today, we are going to deploy a patch and the live servers will be under maintenance for two hours. Before we dive into the patch notes, we would like to sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused by the intermittent lag and character position readjustment issues our players are experiencing during matches. Creating a smooth playing environment to allow our players to fully enjoy Battle Royale was one of our top priorities for PC 1.0 launch. However, a multitude of causes have triggered the in-game lag issue to become worse or happen more frequently in the last few weeks. In the process, we were not able to implement the measures to visibly address the issue more quickly. Contrary to most expectations, there is a combination of causes that lead to the in-game lag and character position readjustment issues. The issues cannot be attributed to one or two causes and have stemmed from a combination of different factors which is why we need to continuously work on resolving and investigating the problem. We upgraded our game engine to the latest version and made changes to the game when we added new content. The problem resulted from these changes as well as several other causes. In this patch, we have removed some inefficiencies in server infrastructure and optimized in-game servers to alleviate the problem. More specifically, we made adjustments to reduce the bottleneck during the game server launch phase and also resolved some server hitch issues. Resolving the intermittent lag and character position readjustment issues are still one of our top priorities, and we are continuing to work on analyzing and fixing any remaining issues every day. After today’s update, we will be running some internal tests and deploying more updates to gradually mitigate the problem. We are currently examining several measures including server optimization and server logic modification to address the multitude of causes. On top of this, we will continue our efforts to further investigate remaining causes. We will keep you updated on our progress going forward. We would like to apologize again for the inconvenience and we will continue to do our best to resolve the issues. Please find the notes for the today’s patch below. World Changed the map selection ratio to be equal for Erangel and Miramar. Replays Adjusted replay system so that players can only view game replays from 3 minutes after death. This is to prevent sharing opponent’s positions to surviving teammates immediately after death. Bug Fixes Fixed the issue where some buildings and objects were not marked on the Miramar world map. Reduced occurrences of the issue where replays occasionally crashed back to the lobby screen. On restarting a replay, it will continue where last viewed. Fixed the issue where the beginning of the Death Cam and replay was missing. Fixed the issue where players couldn’t earn BP. We will update with a compensation plan soon. Fixed the issue where players could die unexpectedly from fall damage. Fixed the issue where bullets couldn’t penetrate particular fences from both sides.
  20. There's a variety of missions, private investigations. delivering cargo, etc to various locations in the universe. It's all dangerous work as you may come up against pirates both human and AI. Those with slow or lightly armoured ships are at a bit of a disadvantage. There is a way however, of making money just by trading commodities between different hubs of the starting spawn Port Olisar. It'a a bit of a sweaty option, but it's an option if you're having money worries, and you don't even need to get in your ship.
  21. I'm sure you conjure that thought up most nights before retiring beneath the duvet with the baby lotion. ^ We need more of these kinds of posts[emoji23] Sent from my SM-G955F using Tapatalk

  23. Oh wow I'm happy with the mouse but the COD season pass I didn't expect, I think I will gift that to you Lee as thanks for organising all this[emoji16][emoji9][emoji4] Sent from my SM-G955F using Tapatalk
  24. Star Citizen is far superior but still being worked on. Elite Dangerous is a finished product. I suppose there's your choice right there. For me right now there's plenty to do in Star Citizen and there's a lot more to come. From what I understand they're focusing on polishing the new features and looking at optimisation in January. It doesn't seem to matter how good your rig is right now as every one is getting the same performance. Though it's said having 16gb of RAM is optimal. I'm getting on average about 28 frames but I expect that to be sorted pretty soon. They've already done some client side work since releasing 3.0. Pros: Lee will be getting Star Citizen when he builds his PC. Cons: You may encounter my good self[emoji41] Hope that helps. Sent from my SM-G955F using Tapatalk
  25. Here's a decent, if slow, quick start guide: Skip the first 1.30 minutes
