  1. Holy crap, just having a quick look around and here's a pair of A50s for £200 from Argos' ebay shop (which means you can collect them locally). Ok they're the Halo branded ones but if you can live with that then these are a steal. And yes, they'll work with PS4 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Astro-A50-Halo-Edition-Headset-/331689462787?hash=item4d3a3b8c03:g:G~EAAOSwHPlWcO47
  2. I've had Turtle Beach, Astro and Tritton and Astro are leagues above the rest. I've had the top models from all three and once you try the Astros there's simply no turning back. The engineering and attention to detail is simply second to none, the whole thing feels well made and well engineered. The Trittons were closest in terms of price and couldn't hold a candle to the Astros, they were decent but still felt flimsy, not loud enough and the quality although great when new, really didn't age well (as Euan has also discovered with his). They are eye wateringly expensive (I paid £250) but to me they're worth it. The amount of hours I play on a good night meant that with my Trittons I was getting sore ears and the plastic cups made my ears sweaty but the Astros I can play with for hours. The Trittons had most of the features of the Astros but the interface was clunky. With the Astros for example, you simply fold up the microphone and it turns off, whereas with the Trittons you have to locate the switch every time. No biggie on its own, but the Astros have loads of these little things which make using easier and these all add up to a much more pleasant experience in general. Another good one is that the Astros only use USB for power, whereas the Trittons need a separate socket. They are loud. Like properly loud, I could probably kill my ears if I wanted to. The Trittons don't come close in terms of sheer volume. The Atros have a rocker switch on the side which you simply press either side of to determine the balance between chat volume and game volume, it's very easy to use and extremely convenient. I can't comment on the Golds but people seem to love them so I'd go with that, or if you really want to treat yourself, grab a pair of A50s - you will never game the same again.
  3. I can take two extras, three if Kyla doesn't want to come. If Kyla doesn't come then I suspect it'll be Rich & Phil in the back seat, Dave in the front and me driving. I drive better than I game, don't worry
  4. Badass dude! I saw the thread title and thought you'd bought a new pet or had a kid or something
  5. If Slyjacked is anything like Hijacked, that'll be worth it for me alone.

    Yeah it was me.
  8. Played a few games of hardcore last night, gotta admit it was actually thoroughly enjoyable. Being a pistol prick was a reet larf again, getting an average of 20 headshots per game with the first one. The Breakfast gun also really comes into its own on HC. Probably going to play more of it, I forgot how distracting the minimap can be as well. Here's a pole dancer because Friday.
  9. Bloody hell. First the 4th Horseman and now Telesto. Seems that if you want to know what gun Xur is selling next, just ask me what I dropped last!
  10. ^yep, same. I'm always exploring new ways to run around and usually end up biting the dirt in some weird place.
  11. Let's not also forget that it's just been black friday and cyber mongday, so people have been spending their time online looking for deals. Plus the festive season is coming so people have their minds elsewhere a bit too. Forums are generally a bit dead at this time of year. That said, my sig on ever other site I'm a member of is a link to here. Loads of people saying that it's dead here and nobody doing anything about it. I do try but my time is fairly limited at the moment.
  12. Hahaha. Smoking kills. LOL.
  13. Get a Synology NAS and install Plex on it. Synology for storage, Plex will automagically transform any films or TV shows into a wonderful interface, adding cast, credits, the lot. XBMC is also an option, but it's recently been renamed to Kodi.
  14. Fuck. That was the ace up my sleeve when trolling Chris. Now Bungie just ruined it for me Ah well, at least I earned mine good'n'proper, rather than xurned it.
  15. Veh Nais James!
  16. Hope you guys had a nice day of eating and family!
  17. This is great if you have guns which are crap without attachments but you still want to prestige them (I'm looking at you Ballista from BO2).
  18. Thread fixed. As you were folks.
  19. Glad it worked
  20. I usually run UAV, CUAV, care package & engineer. Hellstorm is piss weak in this and gets shot down by trophy systems. Lightning strike is weak too, works ok for defending flags though. Rolling thunder is well... yeah. Crap. Wall E is decent but I can't be arsed controlling it, the new Dragonfire is good too if you want to control it but I don't like controlling stuff so it's usually just a massive flag above my head going "HE'S HERE GUYS, OVER HERE, COME LOOK!". GI Joe is decent when he gets in to a good area. RAPS are great but if you're up against a half decent side odds are it'll get shot down before it can even enter the map. Same with Wraith. Even the HATR (fuck me, what a name eh?) can be shot down with three rockets. Annoyingly I've resorted to running ghost when playing with randoms because these dumb fucks will never shoot down a UAV but mine always last about three seconds.
  21. Definitely a driver issue. The driver only loads once Windows starts up which is when your screen goes black, plus safe mode restricts drivers from loads, hence why it works. You need DDU. Run that, remove any drivers you can find, and reinstall Catalyst.
  22. Weren't you messing about with multiple screens recently? If so, are they all turned on? Unplug them all except for the one plugged in to the GPU and see if it sorts it.
