Sorry misinterpreted that. These unique guns will be unlocked for campaign and you can change your load outs. So if you wanted to redo certain missions you can go into the menu and change your whole load out using those guns that you have found.

It did feel like DMZ. But I did finish the campaign. Any of the orange loot boxes you opened you received a unique weapon that will carry forward to multiplayer. Plus the unlocks for each mission you complete you get rewards.

Safe to say the campaign is utter dogshit. The first mission was decent but I got 10 mins into the third and gave up. It's basically just doing DMZ solo.

Don't know if any of you played Condemned in the past? If so, is this anything like it at all?

Ahh, I see now @crippled_viper. On some links you have to remove the format. But if you paste it again like i will do below and then click that straight away, it embeds just fine. We have mods to fix if needed which gets done as soon as we see it too, which will also help but the process hopefully now i've explained should be all good for you buddy. Everyone else's videos seem to be working via the same route. (I've seen your idea on guides so I do think stuff like this could have a place somewhere too 😄).

Where did you see that about the orange boxes? I haven’t but I haven’t been paying attention. I completed the campaign. It was a dmz tutorial set on easy. I think if you play dmz and did shadow company and crown missions you appreciate the story line a bit more but I think the 4/10 review rating is well deserved. Based on what you said I can see a point for the campaign as a looting excersice but little else

I managed to watch the whole thing on YouTube - seems like there's only about 3-4 traditional COD missions (which weren't great either) and the others are just lame padding using Warzone assets that offer nothing to the story or wider narrative. This nauseating obsession with armour plates is also getting a bit cringe now too. This campaign was definitely the MW2 DLC (and definitely unfinished) to introduce Makarov, but now they'll have to make MW4 to tie the thing off when the real MW3 was likely supposed to be out in 2025. They've thrown the brand under the bus and made series look a shambles all because they didn't have the balls just to sell it as a premium DLC and take the hit from the people they disappointed with MW2 not wanting to buy into the new content. They'll get away with it still but this is just another example of the community being completely screwed and let down.

I don't think so, but I'm basing that purely on looking at some footage of Condemned. Alan Wake 2 has a different vibe to it. I'd say more along the lines of Control minus the powers you have in that.

I think everyone just has their popcorn ready for the next annoucement. I literally have no idea what to expect given how much news and info comes out about this.

I was a huge fan of the first two movies as a young lad, so I had every intention of picking this up when it dropped. You can tell it isn't a "triple A" title by any means, but it definitely puts you in the era of the movies. The combat has been decent so far, though I do find the targeting seems to be hit or miss. There have been a few times where I know I've had the crosshair lined up right over an enemy head and somehow ended up missing. The "investigation" stuff has been decent. Not nearly as cool as the Arkham games' detective mode, but still cool. I'd honestly wait for a sale if you're interested in grabbing it. But, if you're a fan of the old flicks, you'll probably dig it.

Not a very good month at all. I feel like the selection has been lackluster thanks to the PS Plus extra and premium games library. I may give mafia 2 a go.

Did you pre-order the physical edition Dave? If so, you'll have to wait until the game arrives in the post on launch day to play it. Anyone that pre-ordered digitally were able to add the game to their accounts early and then install the campaign during the early access period.

I can’t even do that. Unless I’m in Stevie W. mode, I can’t see an option to enter a code. I’ve pre-ordered at Smyths, used a code to play the beta but it won’t let me play the campaign early. Keeps taking me to a pre-order the most expensive option page. Any ideas?

I did the first 4 missions. They are a lot like DMZ missions with less and easier bots and no enemy operators. Nothing special. I would describe it as a DMZ tutorial. I think I did the first 3 and didn't even realize I was done because I was expect way more than that. Rather underwhelming so far. Only reason I am doing them is the rewards and to get the weapon blue print at the end Also if you played DMZ and the missions you probably have more of an appreciation for the campaign. A lot ties in with the Shadow one and Crown missions that people had to do. The Koni are a big part of those missions and the enemies as are the missiles, missile sights and some of the other stuff. However a good campaign would be able to stand on its own

Campaign?? Is there another game on the disc? I thought that all CoD's were just multiplayer

Has anyone actually played the campaign yet? Reddit aren't happy about anything! Especially COD.

Face to face sessions are always best and they can run a lot longer too. We could probably get away with running monthly or 3 weekly sessions on a Sunday night maybe?

I’m glad you enjoyed it and I’m sure we could arrange some more games in the future - we waste enough time playing call of duty! as for dice, they are addictive! I got a dice advent calendar from Dakota Irish last year and it was awesome!

I kept meaning to listening to this and have never gotten round to it, I can tell you now I have the first episode (about origins game fair 2022) playing on my headphones while I work ^_^

Update. I had some Xbox points to redeem, so I did, and got this last night. @Rumelyladyis currently playing through it, and has had 5 jump scares already. Lol

I tried the demo and the ADS shooting just feels weird to the point it is absolutely dissatisfying. Also had a bad crash and uninstalled. Looks amazing and they nailed so much but it's one of those games that just doesn't quite work unless they radically overhauled the source material.

Ok, I tried it out. I'm sure there are some that will love it, as its quite immersive and ppl like the shit that glitters (glisters I should say). Shooting is terrible imo and very sluggish. Lame ADS. Very poorly optimised too. I've already uninstall the demo 🤗

I dunno, I watched a bit of footage last night and the combat, to me at least, looks kind of shite still tbh and that would make the game boring very quickly. If the demo isn't too large I might install to check it out though.

I’ve seen the latest gameplay footage and I must take back what I said previous - this game actually looks pretty decent and clearly some serious work has gone into it since it’s early reveals. Combat still looks a bit basic and clunky but the visuals, attention to detail and particle effects are seriously impressive as is the presentation. This honestly could be a surprise hit of the year if it plays as good as it looks. Even gives me F.E.A.R vibes a demo is also available which I can’t believe I didn’t realise. I’m gonna download that tomorrow on Steam
