This one caught my eye. Basically a spiritual successor to Punch-Out/Super Punch-Out. Fairly cheap too, and I'm surprised it isn't on GP.

  12. Because making tens of millions just wasn't enough it seems Unity Bosses Sold Stock Ahead Of Scummy Dev Fees Announcement KOTAKU.COM CEO John Riccitiello sold 2,000 shares a week before Unity revealed its Runtime Fee It's gonna hit indie developers hardest and even some may end up pulling their games from sale. Unity is not small fry either - 37,000 games on Steam are made with the engine compared to 10,000 using Unreal. There's almost 750,000 products using Unity too so it's not like they need extra dosh for RnD or to compete with rivals. With Steam and other DRM holders taking 30%, it's really adds up. Lots of feedback here 'An astonishing scumbag move': Indie developers react to surprise Unity engine pricing changes | PC Gamer WWW.PCGAMER.COM Unity's new Runtime Fee will charge developers on a per-install basis. And this is hilarious

  13. Did not expect this. If there even was a slither of this potentially happening, doubt it ever will now its out there for the world to see their plan: https://x.com/tomwarren/status/1704021807341203802?s=20 I think its no secret that if Nintendo sold some or all of their first party titles to other platforms they would make a killing - but thats just not their business model. The Switch sales alone justify their model and why it is so successful as they keep themselves so self-contained. Shame there isn't much in it about how they could make them better, just all about all the money and benefit to own the asset outright.

  14. Nintendo are so far ahead of Xbox that there would be no benefit or logic for them to sell themselves out especially to a western company. It would’ve detracted from their own system if they gave access away to their key assets and they would’ve lost their unique position in the global market. It would’ve also caused an outrage in Japan too I expect. L

    Starfield

9 hours into the game now. Negatives first: The star map could be a lot better, I'm glad it can mostly be circumvented. Local maps are coming I believe... but it's very poor they launched without them. Same with FOV slider and lack of Nvidia support. But on the whole: I've found some weapons I really like and the gunplay and combat has gone from passable to very enjoyable. Ship combat is fine for me, it helps that one of my traits started me off with that particular skill. I like the way you can gather side missions simply by being within the vicinity of two NPCs talking. I read somewhere that it's recommended to do the main quest up until a particular mission and then branch off, so that is the plan 🙂

Its only £35 pre-order so this is getting bought all day long. Looking really good in the gameplay videos too. Who wants in?!

  19. They had to reverse this insane change eventually. Literally would've killed so many indie devs and they've now probably hurt themselves in the long term with many devs already coming out to say they are switching engines. Certainly don't blame them. What a load of planks they are.

  21. Richy was well deserving of the Fans MotM. Spurs were unlucky not to get a penalty or two as well, played really well. Had Chelsea down to draw on the Predictions - not surprised they're still struggling. Sterling was unlucky not to score the free kick though.

  22. Looks like a u-turn or dramatic change of policy could be on the cards Unity apologizes for controversial new pricing scheme, 'will be making changes to the policy' | PC Gamer WWW.PCGAMER.COM "Thank you for your honest and critical feedback." If this was pushed thorough, it would literally kill about 80% of the indie industry as well as the majority of ground-up developers.

  23. Pleased for Richard Arlison yesterday - goal and an assist to seal victory. Looked like it would be another bad day at the office after a promising start to the season. Spurs also have a nasty habit of losing games like this especially against Sheffield United's second string which they pretty much played like they did in the FA cup encounter last season. Seeing Chelsea down in 14th after spending £1.5bn is glorious and Man Utd ain't fairing much better either.

  25. As I like the remaster of the first tomb raider on the ps3 I'll most likely pick this up but main reason is the remaster of the second game which In my eyes was the best out of the franchise.

  31. Finished the game the other day after about 19 hours - not sure how as the game didn't feel longer compared to the first which usually took me about 14 but it was by some margin it seems. Really enjoyed it overall and clearly a lot of work went into updating sections in terms of detail. Some things were cut which was a surprise but others were more fleshed out. Enemies are much tougher especially in groups to compensate the improved controls although some puzzles were missing and others weren't done quite so well. This game kinda feels like an alternative to sit aside the original rather than something to replace it. I still don't think you can beat the first as it was such a masterpiece and this one by today's standards is an excellent game in its own right but I don't think it will have the same long-term impact. A couple of the characters were significantly weaker by design and voice and I don't think some of the interior world design was as strong in some locations. I do like how they made Ashley more human but at the same time the game also lost a bit of its personality and character banter. This video is also telling - the title may seem harsh but it really puts into perspective how good the original was in terms of atmosphere and style. Doesn't take anything away from the remake though as its still one of the best to be produced. If anything it just shows how good the original was and still is to this day.
