Well thanks to an idiot the M4 is now platinum too 😄 I had a game of hardcore domination on shoot house and a guy kept trying to snipe the wall but was rubbish so gave me 21 longshots in one game. I'm trying to do the events camo's too, whoever thought of adding a challenge for melee kills from behind in a game where you can hear someone coming from 4 miles away and where half the players run a riot shield on their back needs to be bitten in the balls by a dog, choke on a chode or playing in traffic with a blindfold... or even all 3 at the same time.

I’m secretly hoping there is some kind of progression between mw2 and mw3. Not holding my breath though, I’m kinda burnt out on dmz at the moment and am not really playing that much anymore. I’ll be honest though I have bought a couple of the bundles, having a taq-56 and mcpr-300 with 15 minute cool-down is a blessing it means with 3 insured slots I can even take an insured gun in for regear runs. It’s not so much pay to win for me as I still lose a lot it’s more like pay to play.

I forgot to say, before Invasion doing Sniper Longshots. I tried Hardcore Domination and got Shoothouse. Was Sniping the wall, and some dickhead kept beaming me with his lame meta OP no skill M4. He must of killed me about 21 times roughly, if I had to estimate a number. 😡

Nice I love progress like that. I managed to finish off the events yesterday. Only had the 30 Sniper Longshots, 25 Marksman longshots and the 30 melee kills from behind. All fairly easy I thought. Shipment for the Knifing and HC for the Marksman. Is annoying the from behind tho, Plenty of times I was chasing and some other pleb poaches ya. Some people play weird or start headglitching crates or stay in groups. Hardpoint is bad for it obviously. I did the Sniper Longshots on Invasion. Highly recommend it, way less of a cluster fuck than groundwar. One thing to remember that Invasion is mixed with bots, actual AI. So they don't count towards challenges. I managed a respectful 17 longshots in 1 match for the Victus XMR.

Overall it's not the beating of the Steam Deck that the marketing material made out (shocking I know!). Still the Ally has some pros against the Steam Deck though most of the Deck's positives stem from it being a more mature product with a large community supporting it (coming up with controller maps, for example). It will be interesting to see the uptake of the Ally and how it develops over the next year. Though as Phil mentioned, there's somethings the Ally just can't get around like the lack of track pads. I'd imagine the low wattage performance is also baked in as it seems it's just a limitation of the chip being used which is why the Ally wins at higher TDP's.

Well see what it brings, I quite liked that Cold War and Vanguard gave MW2019 a 3 year life cycle until MW2(022) replaced it. So a MW3 expansion would be nice to extend MW2 rather than a whole new game. But we know it'll probably be a full priced new game with less content so James will have lots to moan about 😄

Platinums are going well, I already had the Hemlock but finished the Lachman 556 the other night. I then tried the M4 but even with every attachment for range, accuracy and recoil it’s still pretty bad so moved on to the TAQ56 which I’m at 9/25 so shouldn’t be too long. Last night I managed to Platinum the broadside too. So moved on to the Lockwood 300 which I’m already up to 8/20 so again should be done soon. But then on to the rubbish shotguns. So 3 down, 2 half-ish way and 46 to go.

Excuse the mess, having a bit of a sort out at home :D Anyway, I grew up being a big gameboy fan in my young years i.e. 5-10, used to love being able to play pokemon everywhere and the og games were quite long due to the amount of grinding required etc. Unfortunately none of these are my original gameboys as they got broken when I was younger (I did not appreciate the hardware like I do today), so back right is the og gameboy, that one is a bit yellowed these days and it was actually my wife's from when she was younger. The only game that one has ever really seen was tetris which I think came with it? Middle left is one of my jewels in the collection, these go for a tidy sum as it is but what makes this one a little bit special is I bought it for about £30 on ebay around 6 years ago, the value has shot up since then but it was probably my first real gaming bargain. I put a bid on ebay, it did not detail that it was boxed or anything so when it turned up complete (the box has seen better days) it was a bit of a score, the handheld itself is immaculate. Back right is GBA SP - Pearl Blue, I have no idea if it is a reshell but it's a lurvley looking handheld. At the front are the og DS which I bought recently for about £30 as I wanted something a bit more comfortable to hold when playing gba games, the white psp is also a recent purchase and I have gone a little mad on buying games for that with about 13-14 games for it already I think (probably part of the reason I am going to be broke for the next couple of months ^_^ ) The red console in the middle is a Vita, the coloured versions were only released in Japan, I have no idea why, I had a black OLED one originally and like a numpty I sold it. Then when I came to wanting one again the price was near enough the same for this as it was black UK equivalent so I picked this tidy thing up. Then I have my 3ds's, the DS is a brilliant console in itself, there are a huge number of games and such a variety. The right one is the pikachu version, again because it's pokemon related it's a nice little collectible and then the right one is a new 3ds, this is meant to sit in another box which I imagine would add some extra value to it but these are becoming quite sought after, you had to be some club nintendo member in order to be able to pick one up, you only became a member of this if you bought a 3ds before the original price drop in it's early days, so Nintendo's little way of saying sorry I imagine. Anyway the faceplates are a little scuffed but other than that it's a lurvly little thing ^_^

Just give me some more DMZ stuff and I'll be happy. I just play MP when new guns come out in order to unlock then I go back in the DMZ. It's an outstanding mode. Unfortunately it does not seem to resonate with this group. The new mid-season is tons of fun. It's really a mini raid. Building 21 and the other 2 maps are great. A lot of people have complained about P2W. The only thing I would say is a true advantage is the 15 minutes weapon cool down with two of the best weapons for the mode.

Strange as I'm still having heaps of fun on the existing MW2 game right now. It would be nice to see this last a little longer but could understand how it may burn out just in time for MW3 at Xmas time.

The m13b has a special place for me! yeah its not a great gun but the effort I went to unlocking it I feel like I owe it to myself to use it.

Yep, I believe it's going to be on GamePass but I'll be buying the Steam version for certain.

I've unlocked the 2 new Pistols, the Siege (Tec 9) and the Magna (Desert Eagle auto). The Magna is gold, only 10 levels piece of piss. The gun is a weird novelty. 7 rounds sucks, once you unlock the 13 round mag you can manage triple kills. The Akimbo version just deletes people at very close range.

Yeah I'm definitely down for it again, it gives an added interest in the season.

I'll happily get involved again, definitely was enjoyable last time round. I'd suggest a quick poll for 2 or 3 dates for official draft timing which asks everyone to select ALL dates they can make and because its so far in advance we should be all or nearly everyone there. It would be nice to get a few more involved this year if they want to - @Ally @TigerBurge @Jason @BO7H B4RRELS @Riff Machine spring to mind. If anyone else is keen on joining, even to just help their understanding on NFL, its a good way to get involved in something at FG and maybe pick up a few things along the way.
