  2. I take reviews on Nintendo games with a pinch of salt, I find that a lot of the main reviewers review Nintendo stuff whilst wearing Nintendo tinted glasses ^_^ That said I have the first one to complete yet so I might pick it up in a years time when the price drop comes in, oh wait....

  3. Coming out next week. I'm kinda not feeling this for some reason - it looks more like a Breath of the Wild expansion if anything with a focus on small floating islands and elevated gameplay. I think they've played it very safe for the most part and there's doesn't seem to be enough to demonstrate it as a significant step up or sequel. I still think it will be a great game and well-received but it wont have the same impact its predecessor had. I did get a bit burned on BOTW in the end and wasn't too enthused by the art style choice so I'll be in no rush to experience this. Game rom has already leaked online which is downright humiliating for Nintendo too.

  4. Sunderland beating Luton has lifted my day after another predictable Spurs result.

  5. Yeah, Nintendo have a very positive relationship with the media and community in which their games seem to be held to a different standard - I've seen countless family-friendly colourful games be awarded some huge plaudits, when in fact they would be considered basic and just decent under any other developer and on any other system. I have watched a few video reviews now and it does seem a highly-polished, complete and incredibly stable game (hard to believe this was the normal expectation once in this industry) and also a very good Zelda game. May grab it down the line even though I'm still not entirely sold on some aspects talked-up heavily and the visual style that we had in BOTW. People that review these games especially for the mass media seem to be Nintendo-focused specialists who don't play other multi-platform titles whereas I play a variety of games across the systems so I'm not sure I'm gonna be half as wowed as some of those who just focus exclusively on all things Nintendo.

  6. I've unlocked the 2 new Pistols, the Siege (Tec 9) and the Magna (Desert Eagle auto). The Magna is gold, only 10 levels piece of piss. The gun is a weird novelty. 7 rounds sucks, once you unlock the 13 round mag you can manage triple kills. The Akimbo version just deletes people at very close range.

  7. Will be interesting what game it'll be but my guess most likely it'll either be a new game or a follow from that world war piece of shit they did.

  8. Yeah I'm definitely down for it again, it gives an added interest in the season.

  9. So I have put about 20 hours into this now, there are performance dips but I think it bothers me far less than most people it seems. So I will just talk about the game - It looks brilliant, you can see from some of my screenshots it is really pretty and there is an awful lot of detail. The storyline I think is better than the first game, the main story has me wanting to know more, see more and the characters are pretty good, those from the previous game feel more fleshed out and the new characters are decent too. The gameplay feels quite smooth, there have been a few new mechanics added in that I have just unlocked which make the combat a little more fun, the enemies are a bit more varied and some of the lightsaber duels look glorious and just feel right. The worlds, there seems to be some backtracking at the moment, I am hoping there are a couple more that I am yet to discover. That said the one's available to me are a good mix, you sort of have a main one that's all lush and green which feels a bit open world and then you have some others that feel like the first game where they are a little more linear. Each world is broken up into sections and as you move through a section you have some clever little shortcut that opens up between each section so you can move through them quickly. The music and audio, well it's Star wars, it is the one aspect that in every game, tv show or film comes out just right almost everytime and it is the same with this game.

  14. Zelda fans love this regardless if it looks exactly like the previous game. A mate of mine is an avid Zelda fan and he's waiting for his Nintendo delivery this morning. I think the key for me if I want to dip and get this one will be to get over the breaking weapon mechanic. Once people find out how many weapons are unbreakable in the game, if there's quite a few I'd probably be more looking forward to this one than the last. The Fuse option does look like we can get around it a little easier and in fun ways too. The new Ultra Hand option is extremely well done. Very, very impressive.
