Absolutely - I knew what it would be too but I'm glad you still posted it! (Remember, it would be boring if we all agreed 😉) As a general rule, it really has been a hit with more casual players than hardcore. Doesn't mean all casual players will like it (yourself included 😄) but thats okay. Majority of the casual core players enjoy it because its more accessible. Now, the way I view stuff is that I try to put myself in other people's shoes. When I do for these youtube guys, I need the game to be killer for me so I can make awesome varied content to my audience and play it non-stop to make money. Many people that are shit at DMZ/Warzone and only play CoD MP in the content game will struggle, but I think thats more down to SBMM. They hate SBMM as do most top players do (I know @jordie1892 would say something about that...) but whats great about it is that casual core players like most of us here don't get slammed every other game due to SBMM. In fact, the daily group up games we've been playing here have really shown that we dominate in many games and then have some tight games where the most fun comes from. I think like most other games (looking at you too Destiny) that if you play on your own on this, its not going to be as enjoyable as others are finding it. BUT, some here are really enjoying their solo experience too, and the fact the 'buzz' feels kind of back abit around FG for a CoD game is probably enough for me to see through the YouTube guys and not get influenced by how they play the game as they don't play it the same way I do or as many of us do here too. I like this discussion. Some good stuff from either side.

I believe the "new" map is another reskin, castle which would be an actual new map to me.

@GazzaGarrattI've made my point and position clear. I know what your saying but that's you and as I've said we're all different. The YouTube thing doesn't really track because some I follow have quit the game, because they could shit out content to get"paid" but the fact they'd rather quit says more. The game has issues but for me and the reason I didnt play mw19 is maps and you cannot deny there is a lack of content where "new" maps are concerned. So while you are right there are other "modes" the paid for content is imo and others being neglected, past camo grind what are the challenges? Tbh I knew what sort of replies I was gonna get when I posted. I'm also not so sure what you meant by most accessable for casuals, who are these casuals? All long shots are done. 51/51. Still need to do the last LMG but I’m going to take a break from it for a bit. May take a break from CoD all together and play the new God of War

Season 1 ends at the end of this month so Season 2 is just around the corner there should be some new maps released with that. if you haven’t tried DMZ I would highly recommend at least trying it out. I didn’t think that I would like it and only went in to unlock the m13b initially but I’ve since spent the past 2 weeks mostly playing DMZ it’s very different from 6v6 for sure but at least for me it was a nice change of pace

You make me laugh - Warzone Added - DMZ added - Building 21 added - Co-op mode added - Raids added So you'll complain how shitty of a job Activision is doing and not adding anything and being greedy bastard when 4 of those modes are free to play, lots of fun but because you chose not to play it COD sucks and you play 1 map. If that's all I did I would think it sucks too but that would be my fault.

As for sbmm that's a whole new Pandora's box, personally I think that there should be some but nothing like it is today however I do play solo and I can enjoy it, destiny taught me to simply not care about winning🤣 I've said I have fun but this thread was mainly about content not issues the game has especially as this is a 2 year cod.

This is the right question all along on the back of sharing those videos Gaz @techno . And based on your answer I would expect a few maps to be coming in a months time as it'll Season 2 out by then. So when we get a few more maps soon, what else do you think it needs? Genuinely interested to know because I'm enjoying the fact that the game as multiple gamemodes, in Multiplayer but also outside of that with Warzone, DMZ and Raids. Equally it has the Campaign they had to make along with the rest (I finished it last night and i'll post thoughts separately - tldr, I really enjoyed it). This is totally where I stand. That doesn't mean its an unbelievably amazing game. However, based against previous CoDs its miles ahead of them. Outside comparisons to other FPS games with other modes, I actually think it still holds strong too. Destiny 2 is a fantastic shooter but its PvP is in a horrible state and has been for about 2-3 years. Overwatch 2 doesn't feel like its changed much from 5-6 years ago. Still feels good to shoot but limited on gamemodes and now reducing party size to 5 for me really is lost a lot some of their shine due to it now feeling very harsh when its not going your way. This CoD is the most accessible game for casuals they've had - and I feel this is why those people who create content or play exclusively these games and nothing else will feel that way. Same way if you played Destiny 2 exclusively. Its not the games fault if you don't play Campaign, DMZ, Warzone, which is a large chunk of it. But even then Multiplayer rotates maps extremely well, and it has Tier 1 if you want Hardcore - even though really I feel like this games Core MP is the best from any i've played in the last 8 years. The guns have lots of variety with tweaks that can be made that do make differences, at the same time being able to use stock guns and not feel like a loser straight off the block. Those content creators are focusing on the 1% crowd that is themselves and not thinking of the playerbase. They exaggerated 10-20 minutes of video to just say the menu options aren't great, and to tell us 'ah, I don't play them modes'. They come across as salty to me because essentially they're 'work' isn't getting them paid. Only place I'd say it needs a lot of work is Private Games as we need better options to choose from. Currently no proper Gun Game, One in the Chamber, Prop Hunt, etc which would give people hours of content to make if they wanted a revenue from it.

Well some more decent maps would be a start infact that would do as far as MP. There's been no new maps since launch and non I'm aware of coming.

First of all I couldn't careless about those modes, if others enjoy it that's fine. If it was just the free stuff and didn't have a paid mp etc I wouldn't bother with it. Now I believe there's absolutely a reason to criticize the "paid" for content, or lack of and the fact that others don't is irrelevant due to it being personal opinion. I see it a lot these days especially in the cod community etc that when someone likes something it suddenly is beyond criticism. Now can I have fun with the game, yes I've done the battle pass and hit max level and mostly on shoothouse and shipment but it would be nice to see the paid portion of the game get a little more thought and effort put into it, personally I don't think it's too much to expect. Not Activision ... infinity ward. Activision are doing a great job of removing money from .....some

Ye I see what you mean on the MP side. That’s why I prefer DMZ. You actually have missions to do etc. PvP on every game is repetitive same old shit.

I agree with what you have said however I'm not not have I ever been interested personally in anything other than multiplayer and as such have to agree with what eighth thoughts and others have said. They seem to have taken away from one mode to spread themselves out and it shows. Also youre bang on about destiny.

There’s still shit loads to do in CoD. There’s no ways you’ve done it all! Faction missions in DMZ, Warzone then multiplayer. For the more hardcore they’ve bought in Building 21 that I bet youve not tried. Also they have raid assignments now. I never thought I’d be interested in COD as much as I am atm. Destiny is just a big bounty grind now for levels to be able to do GMs etc which is boring as F. Trust me I never thought I’d actually say that. Recycled shit does tend to be the “go to” now which is a shame but it is what it is.

Hello all, As some of you may know, I have run a modded Minecraft server for FG over the last few years. Modded Minecraft can be quite different to vanilla so to that end FTB, a modpack maker, made a pack called FTB Academy. The purpose of the pack is to provide an in game quest line with tips and instructions on how to use the included mods. This pack was originally released several years ago which we played but I noticed the other days there’s an updated version. So given several people have said during other conversations about wanting to join, I thought this would be a great opportunity for anyone that wants to try it to get involved, learn some mods and hopefully have some fun. So I’m posting this currently just to gauge interest and if there is, I shall switch the server over to FTB Academy and create an event to start the modpack on Sunday 1 February. So if you want to join what do you need? You’ll need an account for Minecraft Java edition (this is different to the Windows 10 or the version on consoles that is/was used for the realm) Your Minecraft username (this is different to your Gamertag, see FAQ below) which you’ll need to reply to this thread with, or PM it to me, so I can whitelist you on the server. You’ll need to download and install the FTB Launcher. Once installed, you’ll need to add the FTB Academy pack. Launch the game, go to the multiplayer tab and add the FG server. The name can be anything you want and the IP address is: 62.210.41.17:25414 (NB if you add the server at the moment, it will show an error due to the server running a different modpack) A quick video on installing the FTB App and installing the modpack. FAQ How do I find my Minecraft username? Your Minecraft username is used in game and in your Microsoft account settings. Go to www.Minecraft.net and navigate to your profile by using the dropdown box on the top right of your screen. Select the Minecraft:Java Edition dropdown box and click Profile Name to view your in-game username. What can I play this on? Unfortunately as modded Minecraft runs on Java edition it isn’t possible to play on consoles. As such, play is limited to PC’s only (Windows, Mac or Linux). What PC Specs do I need to play? Minecraft primarily relies on CPU and memory to run rather the GPU (graphics card). Almost any CPU made in the last 5 years, and honestly most in the last 10, combined with at least 8Gb of RAM (16Gb is preferable) should be able to run it. You can look up the specs of your PC but the easiest way to test it would be load it up and see if it works (Note: running around generating new areas of the world causes the game to lag no matter the spec of your PC). How do I check what my PC specs are? If you want to check your specs anyway, on Windows 10 click your start menu, then settings (cog icon), system and then on the bottom of the left column, click ‘About’. For Mac’s, click on Apple menu, then ‘System settings’, ‘general’ in the sidebar (you may need to scroll down.) Click about on the right and then click System report. For Linux, I don’t think anyone is using it but I don’t have a clue so www.google.co.uk is your friend. Can I play with shaders? Maybe. Shaders basically change the textures and lighting effects of Minecraft and can have a massive impact on how the game looks but also can have a massive difference to how well it runs too. However shaders can be funny when it comes to modded blocks so this is definitely a try it and find out as your mileage may vary. Personally, I stick to no shaders but that’s mostly because I’m too lazy to sort out shaders for each pack we play. What if I get stuck while playing FTB Academy? In the original version the in-game guide pretty much covered everything but I haven’t played this version of the pack so don’t know how thorough it is this time around. If you get stuck, Google is your friend as you can usually find the online wiki for the mod, a video explaining the mod or someone asking the same question (usually on reddit). I will also be around most of the time to hop on if and when as I think I’ve played through most, if not all, the mods in Academy before. What if there’s no interest in FTB Academy but I still want to play? The server has been running for several years now and will continue to do so while periodically changing modpacks. If there’s no interest in FTB Academy, I’ll switch the server over to a different modpack instead (modpack TBC) which you’re more than welcome to join. I think this covers everything but any questions or problems, let me know or post them here and I’ll do my best to answer them.

I've access to both of these with game pass, but I've heard a lot of negative stuff regarding 5. I've been giving 4 a go and have been enjoying it so far, but does anyone have a preference on which is better?

Well the created a game which actually is doing better than ever and quite frankly most people seem to like otherwise they wouldn't be making the boatload of money they are making yes the care about the money. Microsoft cares about the money. Google cares about the money. Goodyear cares about the money. Intel cares about the money. Even charities care about the money. That's the fiduciary obligation. Given the beat all sorts of records, mission accomplished However people have bitched for at least 10 years that COD was same old/same old and needed innovation. So they went off and did Warzone (which copies other battle royals but did it), the did Co-op mode (which is in the paid version), they added raids (which complements Co-op), they did DMZ, the did a MP and they did a campaign. Then said they would add maps for the next 2 years. Everyone bitching about the number of maps, seem to be the people who only played 1 map 24/7 so I fail to understand why the number of maps is the issue. If there was 16 maps, people probably still would have played shipment all the time. I can also see why content creators bitch. SBMM makes it hard for them, so no flashy videos. DMZ/Warzone/co-op is actually a lot of fun to play. It must be boring as hell to watch. So they aren't getting their view and they aren't getting the money (but activision is and so the bitch about the game). I paid $69 for something I put I don't know how many hours into. But I am willing to bet it's more that 69. So at about $1/hr I feel I got my moneys worth.

I'm with you on that however as someone that hasn't played Warzone yet but is absolutely loving DMZ I feel that I wouldn't have enjoyed or done as much as I have in DMZ if it wasn't for having a good base of weapons from playing Multiplayer so its kinda a double edged sword really.

Camo challenges don't count against the AI in DMZ, check out my fully levelled RPK which only has 1 kill against the first challenge!

All but the Coop stuff is part of the free to play model. I have the same issue as Gary about the FTP vs the purchased game. They need to be separate. They shouldn’t use the purchased game to fund the free to play version of it. I get why they do it. Here’s WZ for free but if you want to level your guns faster and have more of an advantage in WZ you can do it quicker in multiplayer. I also don’t understand you defending Activision. Like most AAA companies all they care about is money. Look at how EA has basically destroyed Battlefield. Activision only cares about $$$. I understand it’s there to make money and they have shareholders to answer to but you have to also listen to the player base if not then ultimately they will stop spending money that they cherish so much.

I’ve enjoyed this one more than any others since the BO2 days. That said. They definitely need more maps. I actually like the ones they have other that the border one. All other ones play good especially in objective modes. Bringing Shipment and Shoot House back was for camo grinding only. If you don’t want to grind the camos then season one was definitely a bust. I can’t watch Thunders videos more. That dude would bitch about a blow job. He has been complaining about CoD games since MW2 and that’s all he does. I like Xclusive Aces take on the game. I genuinely agree with much of what he has to say. The biggest issue I have is that there has been zero communication about what’s to come. About patches or fixes for things, looking at you turtle boys. They also seem to not listen to the community at all, turtle again. People want a true HC back. Personally I didn’t care until I had to do long shots with SMGs. People want something done with the shield on the back. No one asked for the melee nurf with it.

This was my problem. They weren’t hard just not how I like to play. I wanted to see how long it would take to complete get the headshots done. Took two and a half games with the MP7 and three games with the Lockwood to get the 25 done. Plus I got the Jokr and the RPG double kills done. Of course all on Shipment. I’ll have to wait for it again to work on the other two since they brought back Shoot House today

With the Fennec use the one that comes in the season pass. It’s a burst fire. Definitely helps with the long shots.

They are basically the same game aside from the terrain. 4 for the UK experience and 5 for Mexico - depends what you prefer but 4 is way more fleshed out.

I don't really find longshots hard, just very boring. You have to camp sightlines with the range and hope for a good map. I can get 5-10 a match easily. 10-20 on a good game. Doesn't take much time to knock them out, like I say just boring.

I think you can use DMZ (or Warzone) for some of those. It's probably easier than MP as you can just focus on the AI or a few other players at a time

That sucks. I think the enemies respawn on a timer. I think 6 minutes. So if you take too long for some reason you have to be on your toes.

I found out I could use my tokens and unlock the BAS-P. It was certain variants of other weapons and some calling cards etc that required battle pass. Tac also gold now btw.

In that case then I'd grab an S. It is a digital-only console so he'll be able to play any digitally purchased titles previous plus any active Xbox Game Pass titles when signed into an existing account. The console may experience some significant limitations in a couple of years and some games may not even get supported by it, plus the trade in value by then will be incredibly low (less than £80) if he wanted to upgrade. If possible, I would also consider getting the £166 on a voucher and just keeping the Xbox One S for the rest of the year. Then trade that in come Christmas and if there is a Series X price drop then it may only be an extra £80-100 with the £166 on record and any £50-odd+ for the Xbox. You could pick up a Series S in the bargain bins for £180 last year too. If he just wants a new console right now that will do a turn for a couple of years then go for it but once again Microsoft have given customers a console which seemed appealing in price but it's more of a tactic to get paid off twice at the very least.

So it looks like the bad spawns affect DMZ alongside MP Just looted a safe in shed in the quarry and had taken out all of the enemies nearby was collecting the loot replenishing my ammo and plates, then all of a sudden 3 Armoured AI spawned in the same room as me taking me without me even having a chance to barely get a shot off
