My company's dropping hints at job prospects around Leeds. Chatted to Kyla a bit about it and she's open to it too. Looked at houses around Leeds on Zoopla and whatnot, we can basically get a massive house with garden, garage, etc for the price of a 1 bed flat here in London. Dunno where to look though, any places in particular we should look at / avoid? We'll prolly book a few days off soon and drive up for a long weekend to have a mooch, I'll light the batsignal at the time in case anyone's up for a beer 🙂

Kyla's wrapping up her degree soon, it took her 6 years to get to this point so I want to do something truly special for her. Any ideas? Cheers 🙂

Just hoovering Paul and Lee's ideas of gifts and holidays and expanding. Take her somewhere really that she is intested in. If she likes wine take her to France and visit vineyards and tasting sessions etc. If she likes pyramids take her to Egypt, you get the idea. Make sure it's all for her and your going somewhere because she loves it or is very into it. Think about what she likes and always wanted to do. Bucket list shit.

Take her on holiday.

Nice work Kyla! What the degree in? Might be worth thinking of a present on the lines of what the subject matter is perhaps? Also, maybe doing something e.g. a meal, etc, at the exact times where she couldn't get out because of her studying?

I don't often go to the cinema but I'm glad I did today because top gun maverick was excellent imo, the wife even cried 🤣 So few sequels live upto their originals let alone surpass them but from the moment Harald Faltermeyers dangerzone started this certainly can be added to the list. I also like how because it's been so long coming that all the flash backs and photos are actually real and don't need to be CGI. Also how they were in Rocky. It's so good these days to have a film that just is what it's meant to be, no agenda, no identity politics just a good old fashioned action film. I was a little worried going in that it wouldn't live upto my hopeful expectations but having seen a few reviews and now the film I didn't need to worry. I also haven't seen a bad word said against it .... Yet

We've already got Turkey and Saffrica booked for this year, plus all the little impromptu getaways we do, so that's covered. The one thing she's always said is that when she graduates, she wants to crack open a bottle of JC Leroux which is a Saffrican champagne, so I might book a table at the Bluebird in Chelsea and ask them to open a bottle at the table. Basically I'm proud as fuck of her and want this to be a memory she cherishes forever. Cheers for the suggestions, keep 'em coming ❤️
