This one was my go to. Always loved seeing what cheat codes they had in there for that month too š In fact, I kept a few old Cheat books that came with mags for my early consoles as they are such cool things to have built into these early games. Wish this was more of a thing over here. Never seen it but always wanted to as it does get some decent information exclusive to them from time to time. Super thread @J4MES OX4D ! I may dig out what I can find and post it up here!3 points -

Battlefield 2042 Patch 4.0 incoming with over 400 fixes
J4MES OX4D and one other reacted to GazzaGarratt for a topic
After Easter (next week), we'll be getting a significantly huge patch with over 400 fixes to the game. Patch Notes apparently out next week but here's the key bits from the Community Manager tweets: Rao and Paik shall have their traits updated Sundance has also received some fixes to their Grenade Belt, allowing for better Anti-Armor Grenade target acquisition within their immediate vicinity rather than things football fields away Ribbons have been tweaked in order to allow easier unlocking across modes such as Rush. XP for Support Actions and Teamplay within the game have also been balanced to ensure teamwork remains king Vehicular Warfare balancing alongside targeted tweaks to the likes of the Bolte, to ensure that Infantry/Vehicle counter play still has some bite! Bug Fixes towards the ADS bug when exiting a vehicle and reviving near obstacles are also in this Update. Attachments shall also receive an overhaul in Update 4.0, with a focus on ensuring they feel unique and have an impact on your loadout choice and gunplay. He signs off saying "While this merely scratches the surface of Update 4.0 in #Battlefield 2042, we do appreciate the patience afforded to us with getting this update out there. Again, truly looking forward to your feedback as the update goes live, next week. Stay safe out there folks š§" I mean, I think its worth a stab back on it considering its a game I've barely even touched and had so much potential. Problem will likely be just the population and getting a full game I imagine! What's people thinking? Anyone hoping for something big in the patch they haven't mentioned yet?2 points -

I loved monthly VG mags! I would go out almost every week and buy up whatever issue was out at the time. EGM, PSM, Official Xbox, Official Dreamcast, Gameinformer. I always enjoyed seeing different mags reviews on the same games just to have those differing opinions. I still pick up gameinformer evry so often, but it really isnāt the same anymore. Most of these sites/mags show so much favouritism that actually shitting on a bad game is frowned upon. Especially if the developer/publisher paid for a good review.2 points -

This may be off interest http://www.outofprintarchive.com/. The only magazine I've bought recently is Fusion. I've never read these before so got them as they look interesting and I hear good things about them. I bought the one listed below (if anyone orders, RETRO10 code gets 10% off (Had an email today, EASTER gives 20% off this weekend)) WH Smith Bookazine Boxset - limited to 250 FUSIONRETROBOOKS.COM We are launching our FUSION, ZZAP! 64 and CRASH 2022 Annuals in WH Smith from the 12th February. The bookazines are exactly the same content as their corresponding annual, so 120 pages in length. The...2 points -

Anyone remember these good old days? I used to have quite a collection of multi-platform magazines but ridded most a while back as I couldn't hoard them all my life! Crazy that our only source of info used to be paper and we had to wait a month at a time. Sadly the industry was much more reliable and honest back then! See if you recognise any of these - I've picked out a few mags/issues that I have or had back in the day. Official Nintendo Magazine issue 63 1997 - my first one and it came with this awesome pack of cards. N64 Magazine - £2.95 CVG - first multi-platform one I picked up and incredibly cheap at £1.50 GamesMaster - quite pricey at £2.75 but packed full of stuff PC Gamer Issue 64 Christmas 1998 - jam packed with pages and information. PCG was remarkable back then Official Playstation Magazine issue 45 May 1999 - £4.99 but with a disc Play - unofficial Playstation mag. Good value at £2.85 and usually came with a book Official Dreamcast UK Magazine - August 2000 - pricey at £4.99 but always came with a demo disc. I also had a couple of reader-submitted reviews published and those I have saved. Only 21 issues in total DC-UK December 2000 - unofficial but a nice alternative at £2.99 Official Playstation 2 Magazine issue 11 - September 2001 - Issue 1 also from December 2000 with a different design (the only one with the PS2 title) Official Xbox Magazine December 2002 with demo disc Official Xbox 360 Magazine issue 2 November 2005 Official Playstation Magazine November 20091 point -

Plumbers Crack reacted to McNasty for a topic
First off, hope everyone is doing well it's been a minute! I am out of my element here and hoping that someone knows enough to point me in the right direction and make all of my dreams come true. I want to take this image below and turn it into something that I can take to a print shop and turn it into a massive canvas print or really any type of print that I can have framed and put on my wall. I talked to the person who created this and it was done with 2ft by 3ft dimensions, but he wasn't familiar with how this can be upscaled to a larger size while maintaining a quality image. I want to make this enormous and take up an entire wall in my game room. Something like 6ft x 8ft. I have been searching for the largest LTTP maps for years and across every online platform I can find I see nothing bigger than poster size. Is it possible to take something like this to a print shop and have them blow it up where it's not really blurry and distorted? If you click on the picture below it takes you to a flickr page that has a bunch of different dimensions but I don't know what any of that means or how that translates to what I want to do. Suggestions or ideas appreciated!1 point -
F1 Manager 2022
G_dub52 reacted to GazzaGarratt for a topic
Coming out this year (Summer pencilled in) but doesn't have a release date yet. Would love to get this and see how it plays. Its also being released for all platforms, console and PC. Massive win there. Its Single Player so unless that changes i'd like to try this on Steam to see how this is compared to Football Manager type games. I used to have an F1 manager game on the Amstrad CPC464....man, that was the balls as you could do the pitstops too. Fingers crossed for features like that. Anyone interested?1 point -
Hypercharge: Unboxed
J4MES OX4D reacted to GazzaGarratt for a topic
Anyone tried this here? Looks like Small Soldiers on steroids and includes a 4 player co-op. Seems to have launched on Steam and now Switch and Xbox too. Steam have it at £15.49 and Switch I think at £19.99 so not too pricey either. There's also a free demo on Steam too! Seems to be one of those build and defend the wave type games but there seems to be quite a few gamemodes out now, including PvP. The idea of all the different types of toys you go up against look hilarious. The Cargo Plane actually drops the Green Amy Men with parachutes. Here's the original trailer from a while ago. Can't find many recent reviews out there but it looks like an underrated and unheard game for sure. This guy below rates it at 8.5 and I think it has some weight. What you all reckon? Anyone tempted to try the demo?1 point -

PES turns into eFootball - and F2P
IRaMPaGe reacted to GazzaGarratt for a topic
Unless this comes out with a Master League, I won't be trying it. Seems utterly pointless when all the unique selling points of PES have been completely removed. It really isn't PES and doesn't deserve to be connected to PES in anyway. Come on Sony, hurry up and buy Konami and smash the competition out there with your own bloody football game.1 point -

When they had a decent offering they were able to carve out a niche for those who want a proper football game. They have lost that now and the EA juggernaut has little competition. Such a shame š1 point -

Destiny Diaries - D2 FG Activity Updates
GazzaGarratt reacted to Riff Machine for a topic
It would seem that this season has run it's course for some. Maybe it's just me, but there doesn't seem to be anything here that makes me want to play right now. I've yet to run through the new raid yet, but it honestly doesn't bother me as much as it would have a few years ago. Tying challenges to a seasonal activity with no matchmaking has really turned me off of even bothering to try and the crafting system overall is garbage. Only 44 days until next season...1 point -
