No COD 2023

Sensible decision really - all we would've got was a half-baked Treyarch Black Ops game with barely any content at launch and then being propped up by the usual old maps after. We can thank Microsoft for this move and hopefully it will pay off as Cold War apparently got better and had a new update recently despite Vanguard's launch. It's not like it would hurt them financially as Warzone prints money throughout the year regardless. https://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2022-02-22-call-of-duty-reportedly-skipping-annual-release-next-year3 points -

funny story dave, until they announced 11 and all their absurd requirements for it to install i was 100% a windows guy, but for the first time in 20 years that i have been using windows pcs i seriously entertained the idea of switching to linux and honestly the biggest obstacle right now is destiny and its anti cheat, for the rest of my issues i can find solutions or workarounds but windows after a few editions is going to require your debit/credit card and your id to even install, the os is becoming too much of a hassle3 points -

There's also no reason why the new Modern Warfare couldn't last for two years with the right amount of post-launch support. MW2019 still remain strong nearly 3 years later and the two following COD's were substantially worse. Also the Warzone integration of Cold War and Vanguard did not go well compared to the framework that the original MW Warzone had in place. Modern Warfare 2022 and Warzone 2 should easily be good for a couple of years at the very least without us needing Black Ops 6 next year. I didn't get Vanguard either and from what I've read, it had a hefty negative effect on Warzone when compared to Verdansk.3 points -

i saw somewhere a rumour that 12 will require the new kind of tpm that they are cooking with amd called pluton which will be built in the new cpus so it seems that microsoft wants us to buy completely new pcs every few years so they can push us their os that's getting worse and worse all the time all in the name of """safety""", bitch i am playing games, watching movies etc, i don't have nuclear codes stored in my pc3 points -

I agree with that decision once the product improves from it, Especially with the emphasis on Microtransactions since Warzone. It will make people more likely to invest. I know once they release the next one I'll drop back in . I didn't end up getting Vanguard in the end3 points -
So 2K are developing a load of sports based lego games, including a football game for this years World Cup, and an open world racing game (i'm guessing similar to Forza since they did the lego dlc for the latest version of that). I've always enjoyed playing the lego games, and though I think the racing racing one could be ok, i'm not sure how a football one would play, given that we are so used to the realism from games like PES and FIFA. It will be interesting to see where this goes over the coming months and how they market both games https://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2022-02-22-2k-reportedly-making-lego-football-and-racing-games2 points

Here's hoping MW2022 will hit the ground running I loved MW2019 but the file size crippled my ability to play other games in the end. I will definitely get the new modern warfare but I am done with WW1 & 2 games 😂😂2 points -

Currently sitting at 97 on Metacritic with 44 reviews. Hopefully there wont be a few late 5/10 ones from journalists who couldn't complete the tutorial but on the whole, this looks absolutely astonishing2 points -

It's probably better to give the developers a bit of breathing room to make a solid game. Every year it's a mad push to send out a game that's unfinished and full of bugs and content being drip fed. I would even say the last 3 Cods were problematic, MW19 wasn't right at launch either. There was very little maps at launch and we had 3 or 4 in the beta which accounted for half the content. Not everyone wants to play 10v10 or 2v2/3v3. The Ground war was ridiculous and very buggy for the majority of it's life cycle. All these Cods recently have gotten better as time goes on, but we expect and deserve more as a consumer. Especially at launch. It seems that it's a common running theme amongst games these days. Cyberpunk/Battlefield, *insert other buggy examples here* Deadlines need to be met and shareholders paid etc. Sad but true.2 points -

MW2019 was the last one I bothered with and judging by a recent night on it, it's still very decent now in 2022.2 points -

If we can't talk absolute bollocks with no harm intended, are we even human anymore? It's so engrained in me that I don't even consider what it could look like to folks who don't know me. I must come across as a real dick. I'll need a cup of tea for this moral dilemma, someone go put the kettle on.2 points -

How is everyone getting on with this? I'm loving it so far, without saying too much, I'm about 20 hours in and level 19 and just headed out west from the base. It feels very similar to HZD but IMO that's a good thing as there hasn't been changes for changes sake. I'm not sure if they've changed the machines or I'm just out of practise but I am finding it much harder using a bow than I remember. The machines seems to close up so fast once they know where you are that a bow is only good for stealth. Still it's great fun overriding a machine and sitting back as all hell breaks loose 😄1 point -

I already own Ark 😢 haha but for those who don't its a cracking little game . I wish i had more time to invest in titles like that , dayz and rust, even Conan sadly i have become a filthy casual 😢1 point -
So the March selection of games looks pretty good. Been wanting to try Ark for a while so will probably download that, and Ghostrunner looks like it could a good game. Can't decide whether or not to get Sonic Racing though. I didn't know they were doing a multiplayer for Ghost of Tsushima either, i still need tonplay the actual game lol1 point

47/50 achievements done - still need to survive 30 minutes with Lama who has curse attached and also do a couple of 100+ runs with Yatta and Mortaccio. Not bad so far - 20 hours of gameplay for £2 !1 point -
I've only bought one cod from the last 5 so if it means treyarch can actually release a fun game full of decent content in 2024 then great as I don't expect anything from this year's offering as it's a successor to one of the worst CoDs ever imo. However I won't hold my breath.1 point

Update: Campaign was fucking awesome. Very long and hard (cue, that’s what she said, in a Sams voice) We obviously did Legendary which at times was mental. There were sections i solo’d but toward the end of the campaign I’d say get a full stack as it’s mental and ammo economy is terrible. Thankyou @Capn_Underpants for starting the campaign as my duo buddy and thank you @hector and @Forty6_N_two for the help from quest step 13 onwards. ❤️❤️❤️1 point -
