Decided to go for it and purchase yet another game this month, after already getting Fifa and Battlefield. Far cry never disappoints, I'm only an hour into the game and I'm honestly hooked. You are on the island of Yara, run by what seems to be a dictatorship of some kind lead by Anton Castillo (Giancarlo Esposito), after a few stealth missions to warm yourself into that side of the game you end up washed up on a beach with nobody around. From then on its about finding the resistance against Castillo, getting used to your surroundings, Oh and also meeting my first pet "Guapo" The Crocodile who is absolutely brutal at your disposal! It's a great game so far and honestly can't wait to see what else it brings, huge map too and the graphics are ridiculous! A must get if I'm honest 👍🙌

About 2 weeks ago I said I watched the worst Bigfoot movie I think I have ever seen, well after last night, I can now say the one 2 weeks ago was only the 2nd worst Bigfoot movie I have ever seen 😄 I watched one last night at about 2am on Prime called Primal Rage....good God that was absolutely excruciatingly painful to sit through 🤢 I think a 10 yr old must have been the writer for that one. There were multiple Bigfoots literally shooting bows&arrows killing people, using axes and had shields for armor. Then there was this whole scene with some witch that lived out in the woods, and I think the costume dept for that film got the witches mask at a dollar store. Was bad....very very bad. If anyone remembers Mystery Science Theater 3000, this would have been a perfect movie for them to view during that show 🙂

Inevitable a rebrand is on the cards with PES being changed it feels like a good time to refresh the image. I'm going to stay positive that this might indicate some small changes to their business model as I do think a yearly release is getting tiresome due to the lack of huge changes between each yearly game.

For the past six or so years, I have lost interest in the latest COD game by Christmas. Some of them haven't even been all that bad but I've just not had the desire or motivation to continue playing. These games usually get discounted 30-40% just weeks after release anyway now as Activision make a pre-xmas sales push so there's not much incentive to jump in day one. The 'pre-season' phase as they call it is also supposed to be the most enjoyable part of the game because when the seasons start then it's usually the die hard tryhards left and the monetisation aspect is also turned up to 11. It's not like the old days where it was just casual fun at any time of the year. Also the underlying gameplay systems like SBMM subtly impact matches and can have a big impact on how people feel about their experience - it's what turned me off Cold War last year and it all became incredibly exhausting rather than enjoyable. Having played the beta, this game is worth nowhere near full price although it does promise quite a bit of content at launch although it doesn't look all that great - quantity over quality essentially. This probably would have been a great package back in 2016 or so. I'd see how things are come the end of November but there doesn't seem to be much appeal from the wider community this time out.

I'm still tryin to decide if I am going to buy this one or not. Seems the last few COD games I have bought I end up playing for a couple months and then just forget about. I feel like the quality of gameplay has deteriorated with the last few releases, and a lot of the reviews I'm reading here & elsewhere just don't seem to be all that favorable. Plus prices keep going up on games. Not sure if I want to drop $60 on it yet or wait till it's been out for a while.
