  1. Well, Gr.4 is a bit of a struggle in the Nissan but enjoyed both races last night despite poor performance on my part. Great to see Paul and Nick getting better. In fact @Bluebear had serious pace at Suzuka 🙂

  4. Couldn't agree more that Gr.4 is a struggle. For me, it clearly shows the VW and Peugeot are miles ahead in that class. I think @Lurch and myself did the best we could to get some points for our Porsche team, being on the limit so much but just couldn't catch up @Mikepjbell and @JBR-Kiwi , even in a straight line with a tow. First race I felt great and super solid, just annoyed that I gave slightly too much room for a very late point for Mike to get past me, especially with just 3 or 4 quick laps left. You live and learn for next week 😄 Second race I chose to run Softs and save fuel so I didn't have to pit. It actually looked a great decision and I think I would've been in the race for 3rd if I hadn't had the most weirdest of spins on the fast straight. It was like a spin on a wet F1 race, must've touched abit of ashpalt off the racing line and it completely lost the car and into the barrier. 15 seconds lost at least but at the end I finished just less than that behind Mike. Never looked forward to getting back to Gr.3 next week as much as now! 😄 This in spades. Super to see Paul be so close to the pack after weeks of trying his hardest to get better and Nick is having an immediate impact to jump in the vacant seat at VW to team up with Kiwi. I think those tracks with our cars are a recipe for disaster as if you make one simple mistake, the Nissan and Porsche are all over the place. I thought you had Nick at the end of Suzuka though and next thing I saw was the position switched! Did you say it was the penalty that dropped you back or did you miss the chicane again?

SkillUp massively approves which will only boost the game as his reviews over the past year have been on point.

I've played a bit on Xbox today. I'll reserve judgment for now but it's enjoyable so far. I think the shooting will be better with keyboard and mouse so I'll give the Windows version a try next.

  7. I think it's gonna be a case of some developers having to optimise their games specifically for this system. Ones with controller support immediately have an advantage but others may need improved display and scaling support. There may also be instances where some games are just not suitable to be played this way. The device may also come with a quick-zoom function or something too.

  8. Did you see that the free post-release DLC they were hyping up as part of the 'apology' shite is actually content that's been in the game since day one - it was cut and in an unpolished/unfinished state but how tacky and cheap is that to use recycled content from the bin instead of developing something new as promised😂

  11. This does look interesting, even though it only outputs at 720p. With this being the case though, what about text on screen? wouldn't that be a little small? I imagine if you play certain games, action adventures or FPS, this should be great. I already see mention of Civ on this, but do you think it would work? I have Civ on the VITA and that's a watered down game compared to the full game, I can imagine the resolution and screen size alone wouldn't be ideal for them types of games unless they are designed with handheld in mind. Then there's grand strategy games like HOI or RTS games like Company of Heroes, them I can see as not being ideal for something like this. So it'll highly depend on the games you play. The concept is awesome though, price tag not so much. Although if you can load other apps on the device, having GOG Galaxy installed for some of the older titles would be super cool to have on the go.

  12. First race was not that far from the pack and my self and @Bluebear had a nice battle swapping places a few times. Second race I was going to attempt a no pit run only to start on super softs and ran out of fuel just as I crossed the line.

  13. PS5 upgrade isn't out yet - it's free to existing owners (disc and digital) later this year. It's still selling well for some reason. People are paying $40 now digitally when they could've got it in bargain bins 3 months ago for $20.

I think a better comparison would be the earlier Zelda games in terms of how the game is laid out for you. It definitely has that “link to the past” kinda vibe with it.

Hmm. Seeing some mixed reviews about this one so far. Most of the feedback is stating this is better playing co-op then solo. I'm glad it's on game pass. I'll give this a go over the weekend.

  16. Their situation sounds dire - they only have about 9 senior players and a couple of those are keepers. Rooney is well and truly under the bus before the season started and he even badly injured one of their key players in training himself in a 50/50 challenge! They did beat Real Betis the other day but it's gonna be a long season. They were lucky to escape last year on points and avoiding EFL penalties for rule breakages. Shite owners putting in no money and some terrible managerial appointments prior.

  17. I've played a lot of both MW19 and Cold War. MW19 looks better and more polished. Animations and movement feels smoother. Maps were dogshit, loud footsteps. It says something when I played Shipment most of the time, the most broken version of it we have ever seen. Better than most of the other offerings. MW used a lot of recycled maps also and the ones they made were horrible for the most part. Coldwar, rough launch and clunky movements and not as smooth as MW overall. Less appealing on the eye. Lack of content at launch. Heavier SBMM imo that MW began with. Both have many flaws, I think CW was forced too quickly and needed more time. MW19 should of had a longer cycle and CW could of started better. MW19 campers are no joke tho. I like the gun battles and playstyle of CW. People actually rush etc.

  18. MW2019 was decent underneath but ruined by piss poor maps and lack of Dead Silence + super loud footsteps made it impossible to rush. Cold War sorted out the footstep issue by giving us Ninja but the maps were still piss poor.

  19. I dunno why they just didn't focus on expanding MW for the next 3 years. They had highly polished game, excellent visuals, a huge amount of work went into the animations and people overall enjoyed it even if their original design philosophies around doors was a bit flawed. Cold War was a downgrade in every respect, Treyarch as per usual didn't bother supporting the game much post-release and instead reverted to their tiresome plan of giving us the same old maps we've played in every one of their games from the past decade. Raven are doing a good job in killing Warzone where there's people even cheating in official tournaments so I think they are very much in a huge mess especially with people growing increasingly tired of the franchise and Battlefield finally making big strides. Soon they'll be focused exclusively on the mobile version and that's it.

    Been MANY years!

Hey gang. Not sure who is still around from the old days but talked to Lee a couple months ago and he mentioned this site was still around and I had been meaning to come check up on it for some time now but just had so much going on I never got around to it till now. This is Steve, use to be active here many years ago. Can't even remember how long it's been, maybe 6...8 years ...longer perhaps? It was back in the days with Tommy, Lee, Jason, Dave and some of the other old timers. Not sure if any of them are still around or not. Gonna take me a bit to check out this whole new looking site (new to me at least :) ) but just wanted to say hello before I started looking around again here. Steve

No DLSS or Ray Tracing on the Windows Store version yet but Steam has it which is weird.
