    Coronavirus

Ah social media if I ever feel a little dumb that's one place that will make me feel better, id hope that the majority of people fall somewhere in the middle of the two sparring factions on any subject on social media.

  2. I thought of another one to add to the list, Amos from The Expanse. The balance of his character clearly having a moral compass on what is right and wrong yet having no qualms on how to achieve that. The "I am that guy" scene with Prax and Stricland I think perfectly sums up his character. The layers of knowing why Prax wants to kill Stricland, knowing what it will do to someone like Prax and caring enough for Prax to stop him. Yet knowing Stricland should die and without second guessing himself being totally ok with murdering him. I used to quite like Chloe in the earlier seasons but I think her character has suffered in the last couple of seasons. I really like Ella's character too and some of the more Ella centric episodes have been good and I do wish they'd develop her character more. I'd agree with The Rookie too, as Nathan Fillion is always a win though I also started watching it for Melissa O'Neil (Lucy Chen).

  3. So, I was thinking. Dangerous, I know. If @RenFengge met her alternate universe version of herself and they started hanging around together, we'd have to refer to them as the La's.

    Windows 11

Probably wont be Windows 11 or a totally new version but it'll be the most significant upgrade since Win 10. As long as they don't come out with any bullshit then I can't see any reason why there wont be a smooth transition. So many users left themselves behind with Windows 7 after some questions were raised when 10 arrived so they can't have a repeat of that.

Any chance of a Battlefield subform in time for tomorrows reveal? I think it may finally warrant one for the first time in nearly a decade! Cheers!

I think it makes sense for it to be in "Pew Pew"/Shooters section. @GazzaGarratt- thoughts? especially since there are some nights for Battlefield matches going?

  9. I'm fine with Pickford, he's far better than what we've had years gone by and they were held in a higher status. I'm with you on Shaw although its only between him and Chilwell which i'm not bothered who goes there. Interestingly everyone seems to be going for James for RWB and thats a surprise in my book. Yep, we know I'm a Trippier fan but it seems to have gone under the radar that he won La Liga with Atletico and also finished in the Team of the Year so its a difficult job to leave him out in my honest opinion. He will always do a great job at bothe defnding and attacking, plus his free kick / corner delivery. I'm not normally a fan of Rice or Mount but I have top accept they seem to be holding the CDM and Free Role jobs mostly on their own under Southgate.

  10. Ooohhh. These are great mentions. I love Lucifer and the rest of the cast. Amenadiel's growth from a strict angel into a nuanced being has been satisfying. Mazikeen's sociopathic ridiculous is hilarious. Chloe is the worst for me. @TurboR56Mini and I watch The Rookie. Honestly wasn't going to think I would like it enough to really pay attention to the show. But, we started watching it because of Nathan Fillion. It's a good show. Lighthearted enough to balance out some of the more series topics and storylines they cover. I was pleasantly surprised with Bradford becoming one of my favorites. Such a shame on some of the set drama. Would have loved to see the character progression on Talia. But, bringing in the character of Nyla has also been really good for the show.

  12. Pickford is the weak link for me at the back. Also have mixed feelings about Shaw. On a good day, yes. Really really hope Grealish starts. I'd make Rashford a late impact super sub. Henderson not match fit and I'm not a fan anyway. Sterling needs to be in there too, for me. What a perfect occasion to return to form...

  17. To the people worrying about the 1-0 friendlies, I think we are all subject to the English overreaction mentality as per usual. Personally, I think we're absolutely fine. Just because we've seen people play their first 11 in friendlies before previous tournaments doesn't mean Gareth has to do the same this time round. I actually think we were subject to burnout in the last World Cup and thats why we lost the Semi Final so I think by resting all of these players as long as they can after an intense on-off covid impacted season. The squad has extremely good depth and taking more defenders makes sense because thats where we all know our issues lie. I don't think we are ever questioning the attacking talent in this side. I'm excited. It's gonna be tough due to the teams we have as Eastern European teams are usually hard teams to break down but I'd take a 1-0 win against Croatia and Czech Republic.

  18. This seems as much a list of shows people like because obviously it's down to the characters in the shows or films. Recently I'd have to add Tom Ellis as Lucifer The crew members of red dwarf James Spader in blacklist Nathan Fillion gets mentioned quite a bit does anyone else watch the rookie.

    Coronavirus

Well, in this nation of grown up children there's always rattles being thrown out of prams. I'm sure we're just one step away from blaming everything on Marxists or something other bogey man judging by social media lately 😅 Management of this virus has been a shit show from day one so I think people have a right to be angry. But anyway, they're bringing in a law to deal with protest, clearly thinking ahead😉

  20. Good point, I must admit it doesn't come natural unfortunately to think of who stands out really well. Jodie Comer in Killing Eve is incredible and I do enjoy watching Evangeline Lilly as the Wasp. Also, don't know why I didn't mention Ryan Reynolds when I mentioned Chris Pratt but that humour always appeals to me.

  24. Nathan Fillion is a joy to watch (or listen) in anything he does. He has that "type" that he plays nailed down. I first saw him on Buffy as the evil Priest. It's been great seeing his career grow and become what it is. It was probably one of the only roles where his wit and sense of humor wasn't completely utilized. For me, there are enjoyable actors who I will almost always watch in whatever they do... then there are amazing characters in stories. Like, I love David Rose from Schitt's Creek, but I'm not sure if I want to watch that actor in other roles. He's a fantastic writer. For women actresses, there are not many that I feel the need to watch. But, I suspect that's because there aren't as many witty roles available to them. I'll probably watch anything with Constance Wu or Emma Watson or Charlize Theron. But, I love Hermione in the Harry Potter movies. I adore Peeta in Hunger Games. I think Xander and Oz and Spike in Buffy stole the show whenever they were on scene. For newer shows... Iggy in New Amsterdam is my favorite character. Chimney in Rescue 9-1-1 is also fantastic. Philipia Georgieau in Star Trek Discovery is amazing.

  25. 6/7/2021 Workout 5 Rounds 7 Deadlifts (155lbs) 30 high single-unders 7 Ring Rows 30 high single-unders 7 Burpees 30 high single-unders THEN Rest - 5 mins Tabata Row for 8 rounds Thoughts: I jolted out of bed this morning. I hate be startled by my alarm lol. But cherry cake means I need to make an effort today. Luckily, deadlifts were programmed. My younger self must have been the one who looked at today's workout and went, "Oh, this is fine. 7 burpees? This is fine. 35 total burpees. This is fine." This is not fine lol. Because doing high jump ropes then 7 burpees is not fine. There used to be a time I could bang out 10 burpees quickly. I may want to die, but I could spit them out 10 at a time. I am not 28 anymore lol. Anyway. As always, I intended to only do like 135lbs for deadlift. Partially because I didn't want to grab more plates (I only took a pair of 45lbs), partially because I thought, "why not make it mostly cardio?" But, as usual, I was met with a glare and was instructed to put more on. I slapped on the 10lb pair. I said, "Compromise? It's Monday. It's disgusting out." Lol. I scaled the pull-ups down to ring rows. I knew I needed to find something to use as rest time. That would be the deadlifts and the ring rows. My energy was going to be spent in burpees and the high jumps. 5 rounds of this. At least I wasn't the last one done. But, it meant that I actually had to finish a round. When I finished my jumps, I just fell and laid on the floor lol. 5 minutes before we do the Tabata row for 8 rounds. Should be fine. Right? Should be fine. If anything, the Rowing Class has made this part mentally bearable. I know that originally I would have been crying after round 3 of it hah. So, there's some improvement. All in all, I'm feeling the soreness in my right shoulder as my body is now able to use those muscles fully for the first time in years. Working out the imbalance. Still really cool to not feel the giant "knots" that I use to feel there when I'm taking a lacrosse ball to the area. Rest day tomorrow. Back for the gym on Wednesday and Thursday. This Saturday is going to be my first Saturday off in 2 months. We're transitioning to the next weightlifting workshop. Means this coming Sunday will be my first Sunday sore-free at MMA.

Congrats on your jab! @TurboR56Mini and I got our second Pfizer on 5/28. The first shot didn't really affect either of us with the exception of the sore arm, but that's common with injections if anyone actually remembers what it was like getting vaccines as a kid and their flu shots. The second one just left us tired, but nothing more. We went to bed earlier than normal that night. Here's hoping that the UK keeps trending lower with cases!

I had my first Pfizer jab yesterday and didn't feel a thing. Arm is a bit sore today at times but the whole thing was very easy. Great to see the vaccines being effective in preventing serious illness and reducing the numbers but this 'Indian' variant is a cause of concern as cases are shooting up. I'm not sure if restrictions will be entirely lifted on the 21st and I hope for once the government make the right call. I personally don't think they should completely but there's no reason to restrict everything to draconian levels like we've seen previous. The vocal minority will be enraged if things don't go back to normal on the 21st but the majority of people wont want us in a situation where we are having to go into lockdown-type situation in late July/August if we do press ahead with cases rising significantly now.
