OK, just testing the water here for interest. I'd like to an FG night on Civ 5. It doesn't take that many players, say a maximum of 6, but it does take up a lot of time, so a weekend would be best. If there's any interest I'll look to book something towards maybe the end of the month.

Right I did one of these for the world cup and it turned out relatively well, so will give it a go again for Euro 2021 (2020). It is good to build some extra hype for the tournament and added interest. There are 24 teams, all teams will be assigned at random if we have enough people. I will be using a website to assign them randomly and record it as I am doing it so no one can say I am cheating. Entry is £5, the prize structure will depend on how many people enter, and a small amount will go into the FG Feel Good Fund. Short notice I know but let me know ASAP if you're in!!!!! He's a proven manager with plenty of domestic success and currently unattached so it's a great option. Martinez would be a cheap, unspectacular and safe appointment but from what I hear, the reception has been incredibly underwhelming within the club following his interview which was championed by the investment group leader rather (whoever that is) than Daniel Levy. I hear that Everton are interested in bringing him back too but they will first make an inquiry regarding the availability of Moyes at West Ham. The Martinez situation will also be plagued with tight timescales and red tape whereas Conte is readily available right off the bat.

I think you hit the nail on the head with that. England's biggest weakness is team selection.

Ooooooohhhhh... @TurboR56Mini is pretty cut throat in Civ. I seem to have curved away from my days of amassing a giant air force to erase cities from the earth lol. Not that I won't if I'm provoked... it's just not my first thought anymore lol.

Yeah we will be sticking with near-far, Charlie was only joking when he suggested mimicking the sound of each oracle . I know where you mean on the back wall, and it works pretty well but I’ve also seen teams go to the ‘damage’ platform and call from there, as I think it’s easier to distinguish fear and near from there. Will try it next time I’m there. Have LFGd this a few times now and come across some pretty odd strategies !! Nothing beats near far, left right middle !!

Seems a bit of a pointless game but then again, I'd have kept Lingard in the full squad personally.

Honestly, the far-near call out works best IMO. There’s a nice spot to stand on the back wall where you can see all of them perfectly.

I assumed Southgate was just allowing players as much rest as possible after a difficult season, particularly with the City/Chelsea players who weren't present at the game.

Love this idea! I haven’t played anything like this in years but think it would be a great change to our normal FPS/driving games we play. I’ll look into buying it over the weekend and will try and learn how to do everything haha

Why was Lingard playing when he's not going to be in the final squad? Weird.

Mediocre from England so far against Austria at half time. Really not playing as a team - more like individuals. We definitely need that experience that the likes of Henderson brings. Can't see this being anywhere near the team that will play in the Euros though with James, Mount, Chilwell and Foden likely coming in right off the bat. I think TAA is by far the weakest right back and even LIverpool fans are saying he hasn't had a good game this season.

Personally I prefer the first two callouts and use left, mid, right and just call far and near if there’s 2 in the same side. I’ve only done the raid a number of times and @Riff Machine has the callouts down to perfection. As long as everyone shuts up and doesn’t tell the whole team that they’re being chased by supplicants mid call outs then you’ll be fine
